The line is based on common knowledge. If someone has to stoop to the level of using common knowledge for a comedy video or something else.. well that's their prerogative.

 

And yes, I do realize the twinge of irony behind my statement.

Being a Toasterbot, I'm sure he doesn't bleed. However, I'm sure that Matoran, Toa, and the like have blood, considering how they breathe and have muscles.

I believe it's in the canon that it's meant to be Protodermis. But to be honest, that word is kinda silly for that line of text.

 

Also, to be honest it's meant more as an analogy.

I love working with sad stuff. It's an element that I've grown quite fond for.

 

It was the idea and sort of wasn't. If that makes sense. Since technically, Head Toaster Bot really is just a talking head.

 

The only thing giving expressions/naturally moving in the panel is his eye.

The way I see it, the Death-copies symbolize an internal conflict in Death- he hasn't come to terms with certain parts of himself yet, and doesn't acknowledge that they are a part of him. He doesn't really want to admit that he's actually Death; in his mind he's still regular Gavla.

You also need to look at the fact that he's not a Natural Death.

He's just your average run of the mill guy who's working a 24/7 job as a trash collector.

This comic was actually inspired by Kahi. If you go back enough in the pages you'll find his post suggesting a "comic where you fire a nuke at my place."

 

So that is this comic. Pretty tough to make actually. I had to do a complete re-do because I incorrectly sized the first draft's panels.

 

Also: Introducing the Caution Suit. It's designed to inflict the maximum burning to the person wearing it.
