Longer kraata more flat and Lang than regular.

I bought a large bionicle box and found some kraata. Three are longer and thinner than normal. The connector area is more of an oval than a circle. Flatter than normal. Has trouble fitting in the rahkshi spine. Don't think anyone melted it.

Looks like they've just been flattened or stretched, the circle part now being oval-shaped is a pretty good indicator of that.

They could've been left in direct sunlight for a long period of time, or trapped under something heavy.

I have ~ 850 kraata, and about 2-3% of them look like that, across all colors & shapes. I personally don`t consider them misprints or anything of the sort, just well-loved kraata.

I had at least 2 in my collection of 24 or so, not bad odds. I had wondered if they were misprints or not, but yes they do definitely have trouble sitting inside Rahkshi.

I have my fair share of weirdly flat and long Kraata too. I don't prefer them, but it's not a big deal. They don't hit me in the nostalgia like good ol chunky Kraata.

I regret that a few years ago, I had a number of kraata I threw away because they were stretched like this. I SUPER regret doing it, and it haunts me to this day. I look around every corner, awaiting the day the kraata I shunned finally get the jump on me and take their revenge...

I've literally thought this whole time they were a common mismould. I realize now that makes no sense and they're just squished  since they're 20 years old lol

I'm seeing a lot of misinformed comments here...

I personally own several of these, and they are not simply "squished." They are made with an entirely different type of rubber that is easily bendable, which is likely what causes the defect in the factory. Standard Kraata are made with the same rubber as Krana, and even if you squish them, the faces will not become as long as the faces on genuine long Kraata.

It is my opinion that if it were an issue of the rubber melting or being exposed to something across multiple households from play or misuse, then surely we would be finding Krana altered in this way, but we don't...

Krana may be made from the same material, but they're a very different shape. They're already very flat. It's the big hollow in the middle that allows Kraata to distend and stretch like this when they're heated/flattened.

I just meant it to illustrate how the material on long kraata is completely different. The softer material coming out of the mold and cooling funny in the factory is probably what caused the defects.
