Who will finish Quest for Mata Nui?

Hi, guys. A few years ago, a fan game called Bionicle: Masks of Power, was revealed on YouTube. It was in development. Man, that game looks magnificent, with the graphics and fighting! A lot of people, such as myself, were looking forward to it. 
 

Sadly, last year, the game’s creator, called “CrainyCreations”, passed away. So, someone needs to finish that game (or at least replicate it). I can’t do it. I’m sure some of your guys could get or replicate the game for our sakes.

I remember the game being worked on, but I never knew the guy doing it died. That's horrible.

Quest for Mata Nui and Masks of Power are two separate games. Team Kanohi is still actively developing Masks of Power.

Like other posters said, Quest for Mata Nui and Masks of Power are two separate games. Masks of Power is in active development, and any progress will be reported by the team when they have progress to present. Game development is a lengthy process, much less independent individuals who are not capable of the funding and subsequent output of major studios. Last I heard, there is still work being done on the Free the Band demo?

I am doubtful that Quest for the Masks would continue, unless the development team has stated plans to continue. Given that a core member of the team literally died - I figure it's not their most important concern at the moment. Immediately hyping other people to come in and recreate or finish comes off a bit insensitive - this is a BIONICLE fangame, and even though I also was quite excited for it: life happens, and I think it's okay to let this one stay as the team wants it.

I'd say it's worth focusing on Masks of Power, which does appear to be actively in progress.

I didn't know that was what had happened; I knew the Masks of Power team had gone through a very troubled year, but not any of the specifics. That's very sad to hear; wishing many condolences to the family and loved ones.

That said, while I don't want to at all detract from the tragedy of what happened, I've been following Masks on Steam, where the team posted an update just recently. The whole post is here, but the quote relevant to the project's future comes near the end:

As we move into 2025, we understand that after everything that our team has been through in the past year, many of our fans have been feeling uncertain about the game’s future. But rest assured, the FREE THE BAND demo will be released. The question of when it will be released is ultimately determined by real-life issues that are completely outside of our control. To try and predict a release window at this time would be disingenuous, which is why we do not currently have a planned release window for the demo.
