New Yu-Gi-Oh Ban List

(Yes I know this is a little old, but I just found out about this the other day so I'm gonna talk about it now.)   For those who don't know, in the Yu-Gi-Oh card game you can only have up to three copies of a single card in any one deck; exceptions being semi-limited, limited, and forbidden cards of which you can only have two of, one of, and none of respectively. What cards are limited and forbidden is decided by Konami with their frequently updated Limited and Forbidden List the latest update

My Favorite Movies

Very recently, Voltex posted in his blog about making a list of every one of your favorite movies from every year you've been alive and I decided to do the same thing. Echoing some of the things he said, I too need something to blog about and I also need to watch more movies especially from the year I was born. I will also add that I need an excuse not to start writing a short story that's a sequel to that "Twilight Zone" episode "To Serve Man".   Now on to the movies!   96: "That Thing You Do

My BIONICLE Collection

Today, I got the box containing all my BIONICLE sets down from the top of the closet for the first time in probably a couple of years or so.  Giant nostalgia blast.  I decided to take a picture to commemorate the moment, but to make it funnier I posed them all duking it out in a huge side-less battle.  Can you spot everything wrong with this picture?

Music Questionnaire #4

I haven't done one of these in awhile mostly because I don't visit this site that often anymore, but also because I only have four of these and I've covered three of them already in this blog (find them all here).  The three I've already covered I found circa 2011 and had a lot of fun with them in high school, but this new one I found years later (maybe 2016) on deviantart from user Amei-San.  It is a little longer than the others (25 questions) so if time or playlist size is an issue keep that

Music Questionnaire #3

I’ve done this a couple of times here before (although I didn’t mean for 6 months to pass before doing another one of these, oops) so I won’t explain it again.  You can see my past two here: Back To The Future If Life Were A Movie And I’ll be using my playlist of music from 2017 (557 songs) for this one; share yours below if you want to.     The Future: 1. What is my life’s philosophy? “Fine” – Tayler Buono (not good or bad, just fine)     2

Music Questionnaire #2

Following up on my last entry here is another music questionnaire this one asking the question, "If your life were a movie what would the soundtrack be?"  I'll go ahead and say that this one was rougher than most of these questionnaires I've done and that's saying something.  Either way, here's mine, go ahead and leave yours in the comments if you want.  1. Opening Credits: “Flood My Mind” – Ivy Levan (ehhhh)   2. Waking Up: “I Think I Love It” – Alexandra Stan (That

Music Questionnaire

This is something I've enjoyed doing for years since I first got it from this ten year old blog entry; basically, you take a list of questions, set your Ipod (or any Spotify/Apple playlist) on shuffle and answer each question with whatever song you get.  The songs usually make no sense as answers, but it has always been a fun past time.  I have a word document that I've been filling with these since 2012, but the last one I did was apparently in 2017 so here's one I did a couple of nights ago (u

Music Games

(Sorry I haven't updated this recently, but I joined Reddit recently and was reminded how much fun it is being on a active forum can be)   I like music. I like board games (both playing and making them). But, trying to make a board game involving music has always been a challenge for me.   -Music Questionnaires can be fun, except I only have three and they get old real fast, plus it's more a solitary activity than an actual game. -Music Top Trumps is a real thing and card games are the easie

Movies I've Seen Recently

In the last couple of months I've seen a few new movies both in theaters and on DVD; a couple of which are several decades old, so their only new to me, but whatever here are my thoughts on all of them along with some pointless number ratings.   "Krampus" 8/10 This is a movie I wanted to watch as soon as I saw Red Letter Media's review of it last December, and I finally did see it last month and I was not disappointed. It was a silly over-the-top horror comedy and it worked perfectly as that

Midyear Music Round Up

If you've seen my posts in the "What Are You Listening to Right Now" and "Official Music Topic" you'd know I like and listen to a lot of music. Also, if you've seen my posts there you'd know that I don't necessarily have the best taste in music. Regardless, in no particularly order, here is a list of the music I've been liking and listening to this year so far.     1. “Real Love” – Florrie Florrie (English singer Florence Arnold) has been active in music for many years now and has released a

Making BIONICLE Trading Cards

Well yes, but actually no.  Technically, I made a "living card game" not a trading card game and (since I'm just playing testing right now) I'm using images from a variety of things I like.  I've made about 110 cards so far and above are the ones I've made based on things from BIONICLE. Right now I'm trying to figure it out how to put the game on screentop.gg so I can play with people online and then I might try and figure out how to do the same on tabletop simulator. The or

Law Bringer Teaser #3

Is an actual short story in OTC.  I don't think I have anything else to say.  This is my first time sharing something from the project I've been working on for about six years now (I wrote this story last April) and what better place to share it than BZP?  Read it if you want, upvote, like, reply in the topic whatever. Also, this story is a slightly censored version.  The violence in the original isn't that much worse, but I didn't want to risk breaking any rules.  That's partly why I

Law Bringer Teaser #2

I know it has only been a week since I posted a teaser here and a 1,500 word lore dump isn't the best way to drum up interest in a new Sci-Fi IP, but I felt compelled to write this yesterday and while I've shared pieces of the following on other sites I haven't done so here yet.  Like all my creative works, make of this what you will.    In the mid-40th century, humanity had achieved what many informed observers considered the highest level of civilization ever seen.  Hundreds of worl

Law Bringer Day 2

Feature photo is the art for "Meet The Commander".  Above is art for "Meet V Squad".   When I sat down to write the first draft of this post a couple of weeks ago I wanted to write something ten times more depressing, angry, bitter, and cynical, but I decided I wanted this to be a happy day since I'm supposed to be celebrating so here's a happier post instead. Seven years ago today, I wrote a little story about four stereotypes (cowboy, ninja, killer robot, and ex-military guy) saving

In America

In America, you scare your daughter's boyfriend:   Man throws bullet at daughter's boyfriend,   "It gets a lot faster after 10 pm."   In Soviet Russia, your daughter's boyfriend scares you!   FPSrussia drives up to girlfriend's house in T-14 Armata tank and emerges from turret draped in machine gun belts,   "I'll bring her home when I feel like it."       Thank you, I'm here all week.

I've watched 13 NEW movies this year

In my "Best Everything of 2016" list entry, I lamented the fact that I only watched 10 new movies last year and that I was going to try harder to watch more movies this year. Well, so far this year I've watch 13 new movies and I regret nothing...well, actually I do kind of regret seeing "Beauty and The Beast" and "Aftermath", but whatever.   So what were these movies and what did I think of them?   "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is one of my favorites of the year so far and I love it. Oddly en

I Think I'm a Hummingbird

Recently I was reading "The Hedge Knight" graphic novel, which is based on a "A Game of Thrones" prequel and there is one bit where two characters are discussing a particularly mean and nasty prince (Aerion the Monstrous) who, being a Targaryen and all, believes himself to be a dragon (the Targaryen sigil). One of the two characters then comments that he wishes that the prince were a Fossoway (whose sigil is an apple) so that he would believe that he were, well, an apple. Now I of course got a

I Think I Found The Blaze of Bionicle Today

Although I did consider calling this entry "The Slender Man of Bionicle" I think Blaze from Mortal Kombat is a better fit here, but if anyone thinks they know what the character I'm looking for is then go right ahead and tell me in the comments.   So, this is a promo picture of Iconox as seen on Strakk's canister:   If you know me you know I had the closer Glatorian in the foreground (who I've dubbed "Snow N. Ice Oakenshield") as my avatar for years and considered it my calling card. In fact,

I saw CHVRCHES the other night

So, this past Sunday night I got to see CHVRCHES, one of my favorite bands of all time, play and Karzahni yeah it was great! This was my first time seeing them in concert and also my second concert ever since really getting to music (my first was Haim around this time last year) so that made this a little extra special.   The Build Up: My night, of course, started with a lot of waiting. I was in line a half-an-hour before the doors opened, although in hindsight that might have been a little

I Need to Get Me a Cig

Yeah, I just realized the other week that I don't have a signature below my posts; I'm sure I had a good reason for doing that, but still I...wait. Did I put a "C" instead of an "S" in the title? Oh well, might as well just roll with it.   So, I did some browsing around the forums and noticed that, for one, a surprising number of people don't have a sig at all, but also that everything in sigs fell into a few categories: links, quotes, and occasionally a moc image or banner. And when I think

Goodbye Blog

For now?   Yeah, my premier membership is up in a day or two and I've decided to not renew it. I'll admit it's been fun; having a blog (that I'll be the first to admit I didn't update enough) and neat images under my member title, but I don't really get enough out of it to justify buying another year or even lifetime membership. Still, like I said I had fun and I got to help support a site I love a lot so it's all good.   And hey, never say never right? Maybe, I'll change my mind some day,

Exo-Force Spin-Off Idea

For whatever reason, watching "Star Trek: Beyond" as sent me into a Sci-Fi craze (note: I do mean "Sci-Fi" not "science fiction" because the only thing I've been reading/watching recently that has anything to do with actual science is "War of the Worlds") and this, somehow, has made me think of an old LEGO theme I've always liked: Exo-Force.   Now, I really like Exo-Force to the point that it might be my second of third favorite LEGO theme overall after "Hero Factory" and, of course, "BIONICLE",
