"Why Hero Factory is better than Bionicle"
Tuuli replied to Takametru007's topic in Bionicle Discussion
Hero factory was a simple story that kids could get into. They were robots and that was just that. It leaves plenty of room for creativity and mixing universes with normal Lego. The Lego company tried to replicate that in G2 and it clearly didn't work. The new sets are intricate, sure, but still not very accessible. The hero characters towered over the few enemies that there were. The story was too simple for its own good, basically just like a hero factory level story with the bionicle name slapped on. When I was a child the intricasies of bionicle enticed me to play and follow the story. The atmosphere was perfect, they provided you an entire online story adventure that gave you mythical robot creatures and tribes in a natural island setting, and still provided mysteries of the story which were kept hidden away for the next few years to lead up in a mind blowing twist which left you feeling multiple feels. Bionicle could never be replicated, not in the way They tried with G2 -
Who cares about legality? Thank you for this!

It's not really a "financial cataclysm" seeing as Lego barely poured any funding into it to begin with. I think they should have focused more on the story rather than making 14k gold masks to give away to people who took pictures of a trashcan and called it a mask.

These memes are gross...make it stop...

Happy 1st anniversary, Bionicle: The Journey to One! :)
Tuuli replied to Lenny7092's topic in Bionicle Discussion
Lego failed so horribly bad on G2 that I feel like these kinds of things hardly deserve an anniversary. But still, yes,a year it has been. -
Everyone's favorite is vs. Vortex makuta in MNOG. I like it a lot as well, though I also liked the toa metru vsm teridax for its emotional value

Why should people give you money to do what you should be doing in your spare time? Does it mean that you would be producing bionicle sets to buy for the public?

Trying to sell off my G2 bionicles in favor of the old ones.

If they return bionicle to the good old Technic days then it would be awesome unfortunately they think that wouldn't work again

A thank you to everyone who worked on bionicle

They could have made collectible packs for bionicle, but nah. -
Silliest Thing About Bionicle
Tuuli replied to TheSkeletonMan939's topic in Bionicle Storyline & Theories
Perhaps it was simply meant to block or parry a slashing or crushing attack, and that stabbing attacks must absolutely be dodged -
Eh, it's not my fault people aren't getting the aesthetic...

Best and worst Bionicle G2 moments in 2016
Tuuli replied to Lenny7092's topic in Bionicle Discussion
I don't know where you got the idea that the ending of journey to one was more satisfying, but The best moment of 2016 was when the matoran in JtO were fighting back against the beasts, swinging punches at them. The single most epic moment in the whole series. I'm not going to get started on what they did wrong as the list goes on. -
"Soul Grinder" among other cut enemies... Wishing they had been real.

You really need to chill with the snarky attitude whenever people disagree with you, mate. There's no need for it. Or perhaps others can "chill out" when it comes to shutting down my idea or opinion?

I guess that proves where Bionicle stands in the eyes of kids. You did a good job though, and that kid is gonna love Pohatu!
-
Ah the Bionicle experts, gotta love em. I should have just been politically correct and said "We absolutely MUST base our characters around Elements!" But alas, I do believe "Rebel nature" is the Bionicle successor I've been mentioning. Has nothing to do with Bionicle yet everything to do with it. Or perhaps someone can show me the glowing "1" picture that got leaked? "Journey to One" might have a hidden meaning.

Where Would You Live In The Bionicle Universe?
Tuuli replied to Pohaturon's topic in Bionicle Discussion
Take me to Mata-Nui, please. I would've also chosen Okoto, for the same reasons as above. I want to be a robot existing in a natural environment. -
You are right that the Explore links for the first half year story chapters seem to be broken. I hadn't tested those since those weren't what I was reporting on. However, all the links for the new chapters are there for me and work just fine. Maybe you need to clear your cache? Just so you know I'm not pulling your leg, here's a screenshot of what I'm seeing (zoomed out so you can see as many of the new links as possible): Bugs like this in LEGO.com updates have nothing to do with LEGO not caring. These kinds of bugs are common with site updates for just about all of LEGO's themes, even much bigger and higher-priority themes than Bionicle like City, Friends, and Ninjago. Even people who care deeply about what they're doing can make mistakes. It worked, thank you Scott.
