Whoever's not an edgelord about Bionicle obviously doesn't put as much thought and emotion behind it. :^) Yes fam, there are other emotions to be evoked besides "Happy".

I just hope they have sets at all... Maybe they could actually truly reboot the story and make something cool...

Then two holidays should be created One for each generation. Naming Day for Bionicle G1's birthday Festival of Masks for G2's birthday. On Festival of Masks day we can change are profile pictures to our favorite mask. I really like that idea!

Bionicle day should not be when G2 was released because there is no naming day in the new bionicle.

They should have just made more masks in general! I would have died to have recolors of the 2015 masks to make more Toa MOC's. The coolest recolored mask is the hero pack clear orange tahu mask, and then there's the clear dark blue gali mask that we will never have the pleasure of owning.

Yeah I know everyone will definitely be looking on the bright side when or if Bionicle gets retired. Are you just mad because I could potentially be right about it? After all if he were even getting a set, then you'd think they would show him in Journey to One. But with all these heavy hints at an early retirement, don't rule that out as a possibility. I want a makuta set just as much as you, but it's looking very doubtful. Just saying.

But did y'all ever once consider that they are holding this "Makuta" contest because they aren't going to make an actual set out of him? Just food for thought. Sure he's got those new pieces but that doesn't mean that they have a set together ready for him, hence the contest and placeholder makuta in Journey to one. Just a thought, though.

It's being discontinued at the end of this year, fact. Though I hope they will at least do one more wave for next year. Not being a doomsayer just presenting the facts as they are given to me. Whether the facts are accurate or not? Well, we will see.

Yeah well there were enough matoran characters to back up Takua. And honestly I didn't like seeing my matoran Takua turning into a toa, it broke my heart as much as it made me happy. Ekimu's role as a matoran is beyond significant, his new toa form is weak and I don't like it. And Pohaturon you just need to stop trying to chastise me and correct me about new-onicle because you aren't getting it, and you keep acting like I'm on some lower level than you are about TOYS. You don't even know because you're so blinded by being a bionicle G2 apologist that you can't see the line without a clear filter. You are looking at bionicle with the filter of: "It's Bionicle, so it must be amazing!"

Here we go again with this guy TRYING to change my opinion. Just let me say what I want and think what I want without getting all defensive for poor helpless bionicle. Jesus Christ. I may change my mind about it later but right now I'm seeing bionicle G2 with no filter whatsoever. And Pohaturon there are NO ANIMALS. The elemental creatures are NOT RAHI, they are elementals. The new bionicle world is lifeless and there are absolutely no wild creatures. It adds to the emptiness of the world and story but that's not where my problems end.

2016 was just repeated garbage from year one, and year one was justified to be as simple as it was. The toa looked better originally in my opinion, and so did the enemies. I hate how my Ekimu matoran form is no longer a thing and now he's a stupid toa. They took away the only unique matoran and made him a tall idiot.

I say the sets AND the story. You can't just have one without the other, I'm not personally interested in Legos anymore, though I am bionicle. I enjoy the bionicle sets as much as anyone else, but I also enjoy having a storyline behind them, it's what made them so unique. You can't just have great sets and a poor story, or vice versa.

How does the Technic logo not being present affect its appearance? Personally I miss when Bionicle was just a part of Technic.

This is unprecedented skill of building, I salute thee. I can easily enjoy the oriental features and the colors work well together.

See my problem comes from me trying to voice my opinion, I try to back my claims up with as many facts as I can find, and while I could certainly be wrong, at this time, it looks like I'm absolutely right. And it's not just my word, it's the word of all Lego store employees (at my location) and let alone the amounts of threads created discussing the fate of bionicle. Everyone can sure be happy happy joy joy about the line, you deserve to be, but realize that some of us are disappointed and expected more out of it. So yeah, sorry if I expected true vision out of bionicle, I should've known it was just going to be another kids' only little super hero story. There is no vision with the new bionicle, that hasn't been borrowed from the original run. Every time I try to put in my two cents I'm immediately shut down by the arrogant community, and told that there's something wrong with me that I don't like it. So honestly, I've been resorting to tactics in which I may even come off as a bully, but that's only because people REFUSE to acknowledge why I don't like the line, and why it's not doing well. So I'm not even going to try anymore, I said what I thought already. If bionicle keeps on going, cool, bionicle is amazing and you can call me an idiot. But if it ends early, maybe try to learn why it didn't go over so well.

This community is starting to really get on my nerves. Why even bother having an opinion? "amirite?" Smh. The whole reason there has to be these threads anyway is because you all know deep down bionicle is not doing too great.

I always wanted Muaka and Kane-ra as a kid, but never was able to get them as they were very expensive. Though in 2014 I finally got them for my birthday, and what a blast of nostalgia that was. Though if I had them as a kid, I would lack the mental capacity to keep them together, or keep the hand painted masks in prime condition. Sometimes it's worth the wait.

How many times do I have to explain that bionicle is not like oil, oil is a depleting natural resource which is rising in value, whilst bionicle sets are made from oil, not being so widely manufactured, and lowering in value. They practically try to give away bionicle sets now. Though, I do want bionicle to overcome it's flaws and rise back above as our beloved constraction theme. Honestly though, the story is just not that interesting. The story should be widely available for everyone to learn about, but I'm constantly told that because I don't read the books, I'm not getting the full story. This is wrong because I know the ending of the story years without even having to read a single page. It's the end result and the flow of the story which throws people off. Last year, the toa had just arrived on Okoto to search for their golden masks with the protectors, and then this year they for some reason have to collect MORE golden masks? That's where they lose me. There should have been mask packs, and actual mask powers to have been interesting. Sure they did it originally, but you know what? It was successful. I would have loved collectible masks in other colors, especially for MOCing. But instead they were not creative, and the first golden masks for the masters are pretty much useless now. The uniters lost me in the story also, because of the unity gimmick. While I think it is pretty cool in itself, ultimately, it fails though due to the characters dependence on the creature for their asthetic. The enemies for this year seem to be nothing to write home about, though I haven't even been able to buy a bionicle set, because they refuse to shelf them any longer. This is why I believe bionicle is dying, but maybe if they can overcome these flaws and enhance the story I believe bionicle may still have a *tiny* chance of survival. Though right now it looks like they will only try one last wave. Unfortunate.

Lucky mask you got there fella! The best bionicle find I have to say was finding a couple of misprint ruru and matatu on bricklink, but that doesn't count I don't think.

I understand, but hope alone won't make Lego improve on the story, I can honestly see Bionicle surviving one last wave for 2017, and the story will conclude. Though don't get me wrong, I want Lego to try and fix their mistakes. They owe it to us, the loyal and everlasting fans of Bionicle. This new bionicle has way too much room for improvement, they have the sets pretty much figured out but the story has a long, long way to go. Though we won't make it that long at this rate. They are literally just trying get rid of the last of the bionicle sets. It's honestly depressing and makes me so very angry.

ENOUGH OF "Bionicle is in the same situation as oil" THAT IS NOT WHAT IS HAPPENING. The line is not selling well, I've been told this by multiple Lego store employees, I've seen the uniters get bumped to "retiring soon" It's not because bionicle is rare and depleting, it's because THEY'RE GOING TO STOP MAKING THEM. I hope as much as anyone else that bionicle won't end anytime soon, no matter how bland it may be, but the cold reality is that it's not doing well. This is the whole reason why there has to be "hope" in the first place. You are all literally ignoring the facts and trying to remain hopeful. But we learned in the Inika saga, that hope is fragile. You shouldn't compare bionicle to oil, because oil is rising in price and depleting. Bionicle sets are made in a *factory*. I was literally told they had the summer wave of bionicle sets for ONE DAY before being shipped back FROM THE LEGO STORE. All I can tell anyone who has hope for bionicle, get your hands on as many sets as you can, before they all disappear forever. It angers me constantly that Lego didn't really even try for the new bionicles like they did on the originals. Any other bionicle fan who DOESN'T use Bzpower will tell you the exact same thing, and look at the comments on their photos on the bionicle FB page, you will see many people like me who are just as upset about what has happened, and what is happening.

BIONICLE IS ENDING. But, they better not end without a conclusion. I expect the big bad Makuta set soon.
