Bzprpg - Ga-Wahi

Friar Tuck

Recommended Posts

OOC: A canon location that has been represented as an air-pocket cave according to Zedd's memories of the game. No twists or bends, just a bulb of rock with a pool. A pool that I specifically mentioned Knidia keeping an eye on as it was the only way in ;)

OOC: I've checked, and you're right, it was represented thus in MNOG II. Let's just say Lohkar was peeking when Knidia wasn't looking? It'll save a lot of retconning, and make things more interesting anyway ;)Anyhow, enough of the OOCs.

IC RamanoxRamanox was shocked at what the marine was saying. He took the arm of the one who was talking and whispered in his ear. "This is Ga-Wahi's best of the best. Willing to kill someone without second thought. You speak of cutting off his limbs as if you were talking about a picnic you were at last week.""Shame on you! Have you no honor, no respect. If you are willing to commit such atrocities what sets us above Makuta. If we too, use his methods." Ramanox made sure to emphasize that last part.

IC - Kuyre - ._.The Toa of air gave Ramanox a deadpanned look."Don't go preacher on us, kid, you don't know what we're doing."Kuyre proceeded to stare him down, daring him to make a move.

IC: ArgentumArgentum: As I said, my name is Silver. If you don't trust me, you're a fool. Its just that what people call me is different from my name. Plus, yes, there is a element that flows. In fact, what isn't? Water is a flow. Heat is a flow. My element is a unseen flow. A flow which affects metal. And if you are this dumb, I'm sorry. But you are this dumb.Argentum sighed. Marines. The worst form of military on the island. Think about the Gukko force, able to soar the skies. The Ta-Koro guard, the invincible fortresses they build. And the Ga-Koro marines, the simple answers they cannot interpret.

OOC: Guys when I type the dashes it means the events are taking place in two separate locations. This is one location where Tanuka is talking to Agarin.------- <=== This means we're changing locations.OOC: This is a second separate location where events take place such as the Marines interrogating Argentum. Let's keep it straight now.IC: The first Marine sighed and rubbed her temples feeling a headache coming on."I HATE it when they get all philosophical. I only want straight answers. What is your name and what element do you control? Are you a Toa of Fire? Ice? Plantlife? Water? Electricity? Magnetism? Iron? Gravity? It's not a trick question. There's no need to try and be coy. It's VERY EASY! WHY DO THEY ALWAYS WANT TO TAKE THE HARD WAY?!?!"The Marine looked at the third. "Break his fingers.""Which ones?""ALL OF THEM."As the Marine got to work snapping all of Argentums fingers the first one turned to the second."You ever miss the good old days?" She asked over the screaming."The good old days where all we had to fight was Rahi?""Yeah and not deal with these kinds of issues. Treatment of other sentient beings. Rahi at least had enough sense to retreat if you fought them long enough.""I quite agree. Let's not forget the natural disasters ether. Those were easy to fight.""Yeah, all you had to do was stay alive and you won. End of story.""What ever happened to those easy days where all Matoran fought together and we only had to worry about the Rahi and nature?""Those days are long behind us Sister. These newcomers showing up and killing indiscriminately. You can't even trust these Toa anymore. They don't hold to their code anymore. Skulking around at night. You heard what happened in Le-Koro?""Yeah. Poor Taramu. He must have not seen it coming until the last second. And then THIS guy...""I know! Kalama didn't even pick up on anything and usually he's got a sixth sense for this kind of thing.""Well it's usually if someone's attacking him. It doesn't quite extent to others... but at least he tries.""I know what you mean. If anyone should be a Toa it should be him. He doesn't sit around preaching fancy words and then backstabbing those he protects. He gets out there and actually FIGHTS.""How come he isn't a Toa?""Dunno. I hear you have to be 'destined' for that kind of thing.""What kind of Toa do you think he'd be? He doesn't match any known element. He's like a breed of his own.""Whatever he'd be he'd be pretty powerful seeing as he's the only one of his kind.""Shame, I like to think he is a Ga-Matoran. He's been here so long you don't really think about it. We just consider him one.""True.""...do you really think the Makuta would stoop to having us Matoran killed?""I don't think he's above it. But you have to think about it. He wants us to worship him. What good is a dead follower?""Then why would the Toa behind us think we're employing his methods?""I seriously can't answer that question. If you really think about it, Makuta more or less used Rahi to scare us. Remember that he's easily already had Tarakava prove that we aren't safe even in this village."The second Marine shuddered. "Ugh... the Great Tarakava Raids... don't remind me.""At least this time, we'll be ready for a Forth. You know it's coming. It's happened three times already and there are still infected Rahi out there.""I still don't want to think about it. What if something worse then Tarakava show up?""Then at least this time we don't have to wait on the Guard to get mobilized. We can take 'em as soon as they show up. That's why the Marine Corps were founded in the first place.""At least the Ga-Koroan seem happy to have us doing our jobs. These newcomers are thankless of the services and safety we provide Ga-Wahi.""Tell me about it. We're out there risking our necks so they can have safe passage. Once again it's thanks to Kalama that we know how to deal with some of the more interesting threats others don't see. I never even knew the Grikk existed until my unit stumbled on a hive. Nasty pieces of work those Grikk. Or the Amaya Shrieker Bats.""Yeah. There's so many undocumented Rahi out there it's a wonder we haven't seen them before.""Well you have to remember that even though you aren't looking. Life rolls on around you. Right now while we're standing around conversing in the dark, boats go out on patrol, messages are passed, Matoran go buy things in far off places, the Turaga communicate, Kohlii games are won and lost, fish swim, and pirates raid ships. Just because you're here doesn't mean you see everything. Those hidden events you don't know about can influence your life in ways that you couldn't imagine.""Done." The third Marine said."Good, all this philosophy was making me sick." The first Marine stared down Argentum. "Who put the hit on Macku?"

IC: ArgentumArgentum watched as, upside down, his fingers were snapped. And he smiled.He. Felt. No. Pain. When he left, all he had to do was use some magnetism, and it would bend back. But for now, he'd be stuck with weird looking fingers. He watched as the matoran struggled with his fingers, trying to break another one. He almost laughed at their vain attempt. How stupid was this? A torturer struggling to break someones fingers. Hah! Finally, he was done, and another marine headed over.Marine: Who put the hit on Macku?Argentum: As the worst form of military of the island, I would have thought that you would THINK you know everything. But nope. Nobody hit Macku; Your black ops people, though, were holding her hands.

IC: The second Marine cursed. "Are you seeing this?""Hearing it also." The first Marine said. "I've seen this twice before. Pretending to ignore pain. Trying to goad us with misinformation and claims of our ignorance. Playing dumb to the lingo of his trade. Clear cut psycho. Nothing we can do. Might as well wait for Nokama to tell us to chop his head off.""Should we start carving him up?""Nah lets save that for later." The first Marine glanced at her records. "When you first showed up to Turaga Nokama, you expressed interest in Macku for some, and here you hesitated, friends. Who are these friends and what is their interest in Macku?"

IC - Kuyre - Noticing the BaronKuyre gazed at his wrist."You're late." he said to the newcomer. Finally, this guy was here. "What of the Matoran? What is his status?" he inquired.Killing the Matoran had been the first of many test, that one of obedience.

IC(Baron): "Okay...I'm pretty sure water isn't made of pillows, but okay..." He walked out of the village. He observed the water, wading around for any dead bodies. He then found something. A mask, belonging to the matoran that, in all likely-hood, was currently here...and there...and everywhere. In short, he was dead.

IC: RamanoxRamanox had had enough, they were now torturing him. "So I see you do resort to Makuta's methods. It seems I thought you had more honor. Instead your as dirty as Makuta himself." It was now Ramanox realized something. On his travels he had picked up some ancient Matoran dialects. In it Silver translated to Argentum. He then realized that judging by what the Toa said and his actions. The Toa's element was probably magnetism. "For the record the Toa has told us the answers, but you were to busy breaking fingers to solve his puzzles. The Toa's name is Argentum, an ancient word for Silver, and the name of an Evil Toa of heard of, on my travels. Judging from what he said about flows and his use of powers. I'm guessing his element is Magnetism." It was now Ramanox processed the rest of what the Marines said."Wait Tamaru's dead?" OOC: Apologies for how much his thoughts drift, but I had to tie up everything that's been said around or to Ramanox.

Proof that you are the worst form of military on the island. And yes, Tamaru was killed by one of my..... associates. 2 of them. A few Toa tried to fight them, and they were tossed around by ragdolls. In the end, he still survived a 4-man onslaught. He turned back to the marines.Argentum: And by the way, no one has hit on Macku, no one will hit on Macku, and no one will even think about it. Y'know why? Because she's Macku. Haha.

This fool obviously knew nothing. He felt his bow slide into his hands. And a wooden, poison arrow come into that."You!" he shouted at Ramanox, "This is private property! You are messing with an Interogation, and trespassing! Go, now, and I'll make sure theywon't hold charges."

OOC: Uh... King of No Isles? We're in a hut in Ga-koro as the Marines carted him off your boat a long time ago.IC: "S-s-someone tried to... assassinate Macku. Th-th-they killed some Marines... Th-th-th-they almost k-k-k-kiled K-k-k-k..." Her teeth chattered and she started hyperventilating having trouble saying a name obviously in shock. She managed to point. Her finger pointed toward the familiar multicolored Matoran Agarin had known as Kalama. He was talking with two Matoran clearly not from this village as one was a Ta-Matoran and the other was an Onu-Matoran.The Marine Kalama had left to watch Tanuka put a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, it's okay. Breath. Everything is fine."Tanuka managed to keep herself under control though she continued to shake.-------"I didn't ask for a philosophical answer. "Argentum" and "Magnetism" would have done just fine. It would have spared his fingers." The Marine grumbled as she scratched in the answers. "Every second we waste here, Macku and Kalama's Raiders get further away, their trail gets colder, and we might never find them. Ever. Rogue Ghekula units are a searag to track down, even with their Commander on standby who will have a higher success rate at finding his own unit. We also want to find out who put the hit out for Macku and put them on ice ASAP."Going back over her records she said, "Yes, Tamaru is dead. Nokama got a message shortly before she ordered this one seized. When he resisted he shouted out, and the whole Koro heard him, he was intent on killing Macku. Records show you were there. You heard him yell out he wanted to assassinate Macku. Not very assassin like if you ask me. More like flashy murderer. Believe me. I've met ShadowWalkers. Those guys are real assassins. They do their own homework instead of blundering about like this knucklehead. As for the methods, we're charged with keeping Ga-Koro and the Ga-Matoran safe at all costs. Even if you Toa do your job and take down Makuta like you're supposed to, over the last 100 years you've proven that some of you would rather serve your own ends meaning we're not using Makuta's methods..."She gave Ramanox a cold glare. "We're using yours." She said with as much acidic venom in her voice as possible."And it will continue even after you drive Makuta from our island."Turning back to Argentum she continued. "Who ordered you to kill Macku Argentum?"

OOC: Um... Ramanox isn't a Toa but a Matoran. So I can't really answer that, plus his methods are mostly Ta-Koro Guard methods.IC: RamanoxRamanox looked at the one pointing the arrow at him. "Before you think of killing without cause, which is against the code, you should know that have been through more then you may know. I've been on the opposite side of an interrogation, conducting by two Skakdi. I've faced and entire swarm of Infected Nui-Rama and seen comrades fall around me. I, an amnesiac Matoran, can remember doing more to fight Makuta than most Toa do in their lifetime, what have you done?" He then faced the Marine. "Yes I was their when the messenger arrived, it was me who escorted Macku to you Marines, but I did not hear of Tamaru's death. I have a sick feeling he was killed because of what he said to me." IC: Business was slow. Dail hadn't had a job for a few years now, and although it seemed like tensions had been rising, no one had found the need for a highly skilled assassin. She'd been here and gone several times now, and never had she run into anyone who looked like they needed someone dead.:w:

IC: "This:..."A single gray eye gleamed in the darkness. There was the slightest of sounds, and then Ramanox found himself being towered over by the gaunt De-Toa leaning against the side of the hut. The gray eye framed by a cloth mask gazed down at him from the dark pillar of a cyclops."That we kill to kill Makuta," he said coolly, casually. "We kill because we'll do whatever is necessary to get him off the island."He made a peculiar sort of one-eyed wink."The toa and their code may not agree with that." He paused. "Then again, their morality didn't prevent them and their code from falling into karz like all other challengers of Makuta."The De-Toa stooped down slightly."We all've been to Karzhani on Mata Nui." Keinju Sarusuma's lone visible eye glinted, and Ramanox could see the calculation, the cold intelligence within the toa. "Some of us just came back knowing better what to do for it."

OOC: Dail is a Toa. :PIC: Dail spotted the Matoran who stormed out of a hut, muttering about something. He was clearly distracted--he was crashing into people, not looking where he was going. She stepped into a hut, looked around for observers, and then activated her Mahiki. Her form shimmered and reduced into that of a Ga-Matoran. She waited for a minute, then stepped outside and slowly drew near to the angry Matoran."You sound like you've got a problem." She said.:w:

IC: RamanoxRamanox laughed, "You claim to kill for reason, but the reason you kill is out of of cowardice. It is far easier to kill than disarm. You are afraid of being the better man. The person who even near death does not resort to the evil methods in the world. You are afraid of dying, so instead you make things easier on yourself by forsaking what is right. Improving the chances of you living by far more. Anyone can kill someone, but not everyone can enact justice. Something all of you seem to have forgotten. When we kill, we prove that deep down we are all just like Makuta. Do you really want to be like Makuta?"

IC: Keinju didn't even flinch as he continued to deadpan. "If I were Makuta, I would've killed you already."Justice is only something that your toa," he said casually, straightening back and looking down at the Ko-Matoran, "May enact if we get rid of Makuta. Permanently. As is," continued he, gray eye coldly gazing down at Ramanox, "Your so-called 'heroes' are not furthering the cause. Get off the infected masks on one Nui-Rama? Good for you." He paused. "Good for you, that is, until they get it back on in what, a few days or so?"Makuta cannot be imprisoned," he stated coolly. "When the time comes, we cannot risk a temporary solution to such a probable long-term problem."The same goes for all servants of him. Look at this one," he said casually, pointing to evidence of Argentum's defiance within his sneer. "He almost committed pre-meditated murder, but was not put down for even a day when captured and attempted an escape, killing three marines."Do you honestly think," Keinju asked to the Ko-Matoran beneath him, "That we can stop Makuta as is, with the tactics of toa who were crushed beneath his heel long ago? Do you honestly believe that we can get rid of a powerful long-term problem with a short-term solution when this war to do so is costing us lives every day?," he stated nonchalantly, in the way one would ask another of how they were doing upon a cursory meeting.

IC: ArgentumArgentum, while not being able to see anything, smiled at what he heard. Toa talking about their code. Hah! And now, here they were, killing everyone they thought were evil. So what, should they kill themselves for being their so called evil? For killing others? Fools. He turned back the the marine.Argentum: Nobody hit on Macku, and I wasn't called to assassinate her, and I wasn't employed. Makuta wants her gone, her secrets told to no-one. But, bear in mind, Makuta wanted her gone. Not dead. She is out of here, her trail gone, thanks to a mission by the Marines. And while you marines are the most horrible group of matoran to ever fight; Let me correct that. To ever risk your lives on something you could just watch; I do hope that you can keep her away. This way, the secrets will never be told unless a minion of Makuta turned to the light. He stared.Argentum: I used to think that was a good idea. I tried. At the end of the try, I am resistant to pain. Like what you are doing with my fingers. Oh, their fine, by the way. Anyways, Makuta wanted her gone from the picture so none of her secrets are told. Same with the others. Tamaru was successfully killed; Gone from the picture permanently. There are just some..... loose ends. Macku, here, is also gone. And if she returns, we'll be back.

IC - Kuyre - Failing at logicThe Toa of air raised an eyebrow? She wanted to hear about his problems? IC: Keinju made the slightest casual eye-smile again. "I'm sure you'll have a nice time being the better man after the Nui-Jaga you just thought you took the mask off stings you in the back."To lose sight of your goals is one thing. To kill innocent matoran is another." He paused, then stated, almost as though he was ordering a dish at a restaurant: "I wouldn't connect them. I could kill innocent matoran and think it was in the name of the island's freedom. I could lose sight of my goals and spend my days drinking away my sorrows," he observed with dissociation, "Yet then, how would I be directly killing matoran?"I'm no toa, I'm a soldier," Keinju remarked casually. "You have shown wholly ludicrous capability in mixing the two up. The difference is that a toa," his eye glinted again, "Will put honor before reason. A true soldier will throw honor to karzhani and save reason at any cost. And honor," the De-Toa stated coolly, "Looks like it deserves precisely that here."If we show we are better than Makuta, then we will be indubitably superior in morality to him. We'll also be in karz," added Sarusuma nonchalantly. "It is the soldier who will ultimately win here in that he will save the island."
