Pretty annoying because I worked so hard on my world and my HDD fried. -.-Recently I've been making Source mods (HL2, Portal, etc.), thinking of getting into MineCraft modding, but haven't had any good ideas, and I can't be bothered to learn new things, of course. BBCCD Posted April 13, 2012 Share Posted April 13, 2012 got the entryway and two rooms done in the gauntlet. i need to design the next room in single player before i build it in the server, i'm thinking of making a jumping puzzle of some sort. :)please don't mess with the gauntlet yet. the hallway with opening floors is purposefully shut off at the moment because it's designed to run continuously, and honestly it's really freaking annoying trying to build while hearing 24 pistons repeatedly open and shut. i'm also still trying to figure out why the circuit was freezing when no one's around before, and i think i've fixed it. if it doesn't work then, well, i'll probably have to remove that entire room, which will suck because it took like 3 or 4 hours to make that thing. It doesn't happen in single player to my knowledge anyway. BBCCD Posted April 13, 2012 Share Posted April 13, 2012 i noticed that the original circuit would always freeze at the same point. if it still continues to freeze at this point i'll revert to the original, simpler circuit system and add a button to kickstart it at the top. shouldn't be too difficult to put in.also i can't tell you how glad i am that creepers don't explode on this map. i can't tell you how many have shown up while i was building the gauntlet and blew up behind me. i really hate working at night. There's nothing quite like having a creeper explode behind you while you're wearing Protect IV diamond armor....Or having someone flip out and try to punch you to death while you're wearing that same armor, and carrying a sword. Both of those are kind of important.You could have just added what you put on there to AT's existing map.Regarding the maps screwing up, they do that occasionally. It's a bit of a randomized thing, so maybe try again later with the ones that don't work now. It doesn't do anything, but it's cool.
