I hate to say it, but this is it. This isn't going to be like before where I've said that I'll be gone for a while and then come back before the week is out, this time I really mean it and I don't have a choice. Life issues have reached a critical point, and if I want to have any meaningful future, it's very likely I'll have to cut BZP out of it. I will not be able to get on BZP again for a very long time. Not a week, not a month, maybe not even in the summer.
I've enjoyed my time here, and I
Valentine's Day Story Club
Valentine's Day is fast approaching, and love is in the air... for some. For others, it's a perfect time to write a love story. I have a feeling I'm not the only one writing a Valentine's Day story, and as such, this idea crossed my mind: a Valentine's Day Story Club.
Q: What is the club about?
A: Basically, the idea is to form a list of V-Day stories in this entry with the goal of earning reviews from fellow V-Day story writers. If you've written or are still
So with Valentine's Day coming up, I figured I could use it as an excuse to finally get a love story written and posted so I can get it checked off on the list of genres I've written into. For a while, I was absolutely rock-bottom on inspiration, and then suddenly, I've got so many ideas that it's difficult for me to pick just one of them. Honestly, what would you guys be the most interested in seeing?

You were probably expecting something more when you clicked this, but it's sadly only an update on my nearly year-old (and still unfinished =/) epic, Search and Destroy. I'd say this is probably my favorite of the revisions I've done so far, even though it's only the third one. As always, I'd like to hear feedback on what you think. If you read the epic before but don't recognize the name of the chapter, that's 'cause I thought the old one sounded cheesy and needed to be changed. *lol* Without
Because I figure I should post an entry of some kind but can't think of anything else to post about, winter testing for this year's Formula One season began today. Seven of the thirteen teams to be competing next year ran in today's opening session at Valencia in Spain. Their fastest times are as follows:
1. Massa (Ferrari) 1:12.574
2. de la Rosa (BMW Sauber-Ferrari) 1:12.784
3. M. Schumacher (Mercedes GP) 1:12.947
4. Rosberg (Mercedes GP)
I could probably ask the Short Stories Critics Club about this, but as they're looking rather busy at the moment, I'd like to see if I can get some help from a few regular members. Most of my recent writing works have gone un-reviewed lately, and it's starting to make me wonder the slightest bit if it's because I'm simply not as good at writing as I may have previously estimated. If you're reading this, I would really appreciate it if you wouldn't mind at least checking out one of the stories li
It's supposed to be cold and wintery where I live, but it seems that Mother Nature opted for a brisk two weeks of brutally cold temperatures before deciding that spring should be in the air. The temperature is sitting at twice as many degrees Fahrenheit as it should be at this time of year. Normally I'd complain about how it should be snowing, but the weather outside is absolutely fantastic right now. It's warm and breezy just like one of those lazy summer days... and in the middle of winter.
So now that I am somewhat caught up on writing stuff, and finally did get a refreshing bit of inspiration earlier, why is it that I feel like I'm worse off than I was before? There are still some other ideas that I'd like to put into topics here on BZP eventually, and even though I want to work on them, I can't seem to get the drive to do it all of a sudden, even when I was ready to write just last night. Can't figure it out at all, and it's driving me nuts.
Oh, and does anyone have any idea
So, like, after having a month or so of time, I finally edited and revised my entry for the Short Story Autumn Olympics of yesteryear. Basically took out most of the grammar errors, although I think that the vocabulary still could have used a few edits. If you were planning to read it before but didn't, now is the time. Really glad to finally be getting back on track with writing stuff, nonetheless. Reviews would be appreciated, as usual.
Wow, first story I've posted in... a while? So yeah, been meaning to get something up, and finally got around to keeping my word. It's nothing like I had originally planned on writing, nor is it something I think I'm especially proud of, but I'm glad I was able to write something. The story is an alternate version of S&D taking place after the unwritten end of the story, but it has nothing to do with the actual plotline and contains no story spoilers at all. It'd be really nice to get some
Schoolwork has gotten a little more intense than I thought it would be, and as such, I'm going to be taking a two-week leave or so from BZP and internet stuff in general. If I come on BZP, it'll probably be to respond to the odd comment or check messages. If you send me anything, don't count on me responding quickly, though. Until then, I'll have my nose to the grindstone trying to accomplish as much as possible.
See you all in two weeks, hopefully a little sooner.
EDIT: Things have been l
Over the last three days, I think the temperature has only spent a handful of hours over freezing temperatures (literally). Every time I've looked at the thermometer, the temperature seems to always be at 20 degrees Fahrenheit, and that's even during the day. Still no snow, save for some small stuff that hung around for an evening. There's a chance of it snowing on Thursday, so fingers crossed for that. Put simply, getting firewood and working outside is not cool (no pun intended) unless you bun
Looking forward to the new year, though it will most likely be a busy one. I've been less active on BZP towards the end of the year, and I'm starting to think that this might not change for a while, unfortunately. School is just too much of a burden for this, and whenever I do have time to relax I'm often chatting with friends or playing games. Here's to a hopefully easier year for everyone in 2010--and a more active one on my part.
Also, I've been trying to finally write out some projects I
Just wanting to wish everyone here on BZP a Merry Christmas, and to a greater extent, a happy new year as well. Remember to be thankful for everything you've gotten today, and to show appreciation to those who gave things to you. Hope everyone got some really cool stuff!
No, this isn't a LotR-related entry (Gotcha LK (you too, Velox) ), but something I think is a bit more important:

Simply amazing. My interest in F1 has been multiplied ten times compared to what it was at the end of last year. If you weren't watching F1 before, now is the absolute best time to start. Can't wait for the first race of the season!
Found this today, and I just had to post it here. Even if you don't follow Formula One, this should still be mildly entertaining:
I don't think that anything like this has ever been done before, actually. I'll have to get tickets to the loser's flight and make sure they keep their end of the bargain.
Finally decided to put aside some time for BZP and end the pseudo-hiatus that I've had going for the last week or so. Went on a total posting spree in GD to make up for lost time, as well as caught up on all the hubbub regarding psionics and the end of Bionicle sets. I don't really think I missed much, quite honestly. In addition to that, I've managed to catch up (I think?) on reviews for the most part (Check your HB Glats topic LK!), although I know there are still one or two things I missed (
Just wanted to let everyone know that tomorrow I'll be leaving on a short trip to visit a very dear friend, and I most likely will not have internet access until I'm back on Sunday. I won't be able to respond to PM's/comments until then, so hang in there.
I don't even know why I'm writing this.
Rainbow Road, in pretty much any of its forms, is one of the most awesome race tracks ever, even if it's only from Mario Kart. The music, the setting, the danger, the speed, the spectacle; it's all there. There is absolutely nothing like cruising about the cosmos on a narrow, multi-colored ribbon that twists this way and that, even if only in a video game. Whoever came up with the idea certainly had an original one, that's for sure. Still waiting for N
So yeah, I've been away from BZP for what might possibly be the longest absence I've had since I've joined the site. I've been gone mainly for Thanksgiving and family stuff, but I'm sure everyone's a bit busy around this time of year, what with holidays coming up and stuff. I don't really think I've missed much. Have I?
So if you're one of the elite few (marketing ftw ) that still has any interest in my only epic, Search and Destroy, it might be of your remote concern that after two and a half months since revising the first chapter, I've finally posted the revised version of the second chapter. If you haven't read the epic yet, I'd obviously encourage you to do so. I've put a lot of effort into the two revisions I've done so far, and I do want to finish the story at some point. If I'm ever going to do that, th
