Shadows In The Sky

Yes. I got it. I read it. It is INTENSE. Very different feel from the past eight Legends books, due to the fact that we no longer have novice Toa fighting against lesser villains -- we have the legendary veteran heroes, the Toa Nuva, in an all-out (and I mean all-out) brawl with the Brotherhood of Makuta. It's great to have the old Toa back, and plotwise, they're as awesome as ever. Pohatu still has his wit, Lewa his blunt humor and Kopaka his awesome Kopaka-ness.   What's really great is that

Sup

Yeah, some may or may not have noticed a general lack of activity from me this weekend. We had two college open houses, both in Maryland: McDaniel and Hood. Since they're fairly close, we decided to head on down to McDaniel, stay at a hotel overnight, and then do Hood today. Worked out, except that my mother got sick halfway through McDaniel and caught the flu. She managed through Hood, for the most part. But we managed to watch The Mist and 30 Days of Night at the hotel. The Mist was actually r

I Chose... Rapture!

And that title will explain my general lack of activity here on BZP for the last few days. For Christmas, my grandfather got BioShock for the PC. But we found that it would not work right. So we had my computer expert uncle come about a week or so later (he's got a busy job) to check it out. Turns out our graphics card wasn't good enough, so we had to buy a new one over the internet. That took a little while longer to get here, then get it into the computer. We got it working, and my grandfather

Spirits Of The Mist

Well, we've finally seen official and legal pictures of the 2008 summer sets. And, as always, ninety-eight percent of BZP complains. Chances are, almost every one of those members will end up buying them anyway. Same thing happened with the Mahri last year. And the Inika the year before that.   I, unlike last year, have few complaints, however. Yeah, I was pretty adamant on how much I did not like those Mahri. However, the Mistika don't have a lot of the design flaws those Mahri had. For exampl

A New Banner Is Needed

Same basic stuff as last time: I need a new banner for Eternal Darkness, since I plan on putting Part III up tonight, if all goes well. I'm not much for looking for specific shops, since I'm too vague anyway.   Basically, all it needs is this symbol somewhere on it, the words "The Site" linking to this website, and the words "The Epic" linking to this topic. Simple, so have fun with it! Anyone is free to try it, and I'll pick from those that are made, which can just be posted in this entry's c

It Is Done.

Eternal Darkness. The small story I started back in summer 2005 that bloomed into an epic trilogy. As of Wednesday, February 6, 2008, 5:26 P.M., that trilogy has reached its long end. I just finished the epilogue. Wraps up everything nicely, I think. And the longest yet: 112 pages.   Production will soon begin on a prequel (single, no trilogy or anything) about one of the character's past, which I have this great idea involving BZP members.   I'll see if I can start putting part 3 up on BZP s

Life Update

This week just would not end.   Well, I've got an adventure this weekend -- along with the big game Sunday, which I may or may not watch, I have to do an essay and PowerPoint presentation on pedophilia (not a pleasant topic, but I knew my Sociology class would not be all flowers and sunshine) for Tuesday.   I managed to deal with the Dark Brotherhood in Morrowind/Tribunal, and do several favors for one of the head Royal Guards to the king who tried to off me.   New marking period started, so

Elder Scrolls Help

I have a problem. Kay, so I have the Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Game of the Year Edition. Thus, it came with Morrowind, the construction set, Tribunal, and Bloodmoon. I'm trying to install Tribunal. And yes, Morrowind itself is already installed.   So, I go through the quick installation process. I accept terms, all that stuff. I get to the end. It says Tribunal was successfully installed on my computer. I click "Finish".   And Tribunal is nowhere to be found on my computer. Anywhere.   Any

Ah, Twilight

To coincidentally coincide with Takanuva's new abilities in the story, after 18 years of life, I finally got to see a phenomenon of nature for the first time: twilight.   I know, you're all thinking, "You're a legal adult and have never seen that before?" Well, that's because that pretty much the entirety of southern New Jersey, where I live, has street lights every twelve feet for some dumb reason, and that greatly interferes with such things (very rarely do I even see the stars unless it's tw

Makuta Icarax

Time for those pictures I promised! Before I get started, I just have to say that Icarax looks intimidating in just about every single pose you can think of. WARNING: Big pics.   Now then, here's the front of the warrior. All those blades and suff add to his combat-oriented personality in a big way.   And here's the back, showing the wing placement. As you can see, the wings are extremely posable, with the lower wings being able to move on their own, plus all four with full-range motion due to

I Gots Him!

Makuta Icarax is at long last MINE! And he is freaking awesome. The green eyes are a little weird, but easily overlooked if you have it so the mask is elongated forward, like it is on the box. He looks great with the four wings, though. Spinning shield is absolutely great, too, especially since it's the return of GEARS!!! 8D   Also, I compared them, and the Kraahkan on Icarax is actually a much darker black than the one from 2003 Makuta. Highly recommend him, I'll see if I can get some pics up

The Hunt For Icarax

For the first time since the end of December, I got to write some more of ED. And I LOVED how this chapter came out.   Anyway, we were going to go back to TRU tonight to see if they had restocked with Icarax, but it snowed hard, then rained, so the roads are really icy. *Sigh* I guess there's always tomorrow...

Birthday Horde

Yesterday, we decided to have at least one last family for my birthday (since I'm now eighteen and things like that could easily not happen again). It wasn't a really party-ish party, kinda relaxed, which was good. But anyway, I got all of the 2008 sets so far except Icarax, plus a few other things: Dragon Wars DVD 1408 DVD 3:10 to Yuma DVD A buttload of money Some really awesome Jack Skellington shirts Tarja Turunen's My Winter Storm CD I tried going out earlier today to see if I could get a

Birthday Fun

For those that do not know, yesterday was my birthday (thanks for the wonderful PM, Ced! ). This is why I love my mom: since it was my eighteenth birthday, and I am now a legal adult, and since I managed to bring my Health grade up a bit, she let me have the day off from school. So I got to sleep in while everyone else had to be in by 7:00 a.m.!   So I just kinda hung out and relaxed for the day. Played some F.E.A.R., watched some Pirates, ya know. Unfortunately, I can't open presents till Sa

Epiphany

Decided to post the lyrics to my favorite song in Sweeney Todd: Epiphanyp. Really shows how awesome Johnny Depp is at singing.   I had him! His throat was bare beneath my hand No! I had him! His throat was there and he'll never come again! Easy, now. Hush, love, hush. I keep telling you -- When?! What's your rush? Why did I wait? You told me to wait! Now he'll never come again!   There's a hole in the world like a great black pit And it's filled with people who are filled with ******

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! Here's to a wonderful 2008! We spent our night watching Live Free or Die Hard, the unrated edition. It just happened to go off at exactly midnight. Then I called my dad, wished him a happy new year, and went to bed.   Today, though, we went to see Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Just got back. It was really, really good, with nice songs (it's a musical, after all). I had no idea Johnny Depp and Alan Rickman could sing so well. Fair warning: IT'S RATED

Christmas Stuff!

Well, Christmas is over, and it's always just a little depressing after a holiday is over, especially Christmas. However, I still got some neat stuff: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End DVD The Guardian DVD Live Free or Die Hard DVD Transformers: The Score Clive Barker's Jericho for PC Devil May Cry 1, 2 and 3 Chapter Wars (Warhammer 40,000 novel) A buttload of socks A buttload of gift cards A fair amount of money Some clothes A freaking awesome Nightmare Before Christmas jersey A little

My Uncle Needs Prayers

Yeah, I dunno what's up with Christmas this year; seems like everything's going wrong for everyone.   Well, I just joined. My uncle had a bad problem last week (rather not say what, too personal), and now he's in the hospital. While there today, he had a massive heart attack and stroke. He's not doing well. The doctor's aren't expecting anything good, they're not sure if he'll survive or not.   So, if you could, I ask that you keep him in your prayers. He needs it. Thanks.

As I sit here on the computer, several (five, to be exact) Christmas presents adressed to me are sitting on the floor about a foot away from me.   *shakes fist*

Trans-siberian Orchestra 2007

Yes -- today we just went to see this year's Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert at the Wachovia Spectrum in Philadelphia. As always, it was positively amazing. Beats the crud out of movies. And, as always, they had some new stuff to show.   Most memorable was the keyboard duel. They started out with some pretty awesome-sounding stuff, but then Mee Eun Kim completely won when she started playing the theme to "Peanuts". XD But anyway, absolutely great the whole show.   On the way there, however,

So Much For Global Warming...

For the past several years, the earliest we have gotten snow was, oh, December 28th-ish. We often got it as late as mid-February. But now, as of December 5th, IT IS SNOWING. HARD.   ...   [vader]NOOOOOOO!!!!![/vader]   PS.: Brownie for anyone who can figure out what my personal photo is from.
