Thought I'd share this 'cuz I liked how it turned out.
I asked my Chemistry teacher from last year to write me a college recommendation letter, and she did, so I made a lil' holidays/thank you card for her.
Anybody who's taken Chemistry and really screwed up on a titration will get this joke.

Just to get it out of the way, chapter 3 of 52-pickup. In terms of my buffer zone, I've written up to partway through chapter 6, so I should be in good shape. Chapter 3 is probably my favorite chapter so far, though.
I'm going to visit my aunt over Christmas. Gonna be a long drive. My dad's bringing his laptop; hopefully that means I can work on the story some more. Would sure help pass the time.

In case you haven't been reading this blog, 52-pickup is a comedy I've been writing, and a project I've been pretty excited about.
The chapter up right now is one I already posted in this blog, so nothing new so far... depending on how quickly I can work on chapter 5, I might put chapter 2 up during the week. I do want to stay ahead, though. It's always dangerous when what I've posted has caught up with what I've done.

Hot, right now, actually, so I have to drink it slowly. It's so good though. And soothing.
This also might be the first time in a very long time I want the weekend to be over quickly; or rather Monday to come sooner. Waiting on those results... ahhh, the suspense...
So it looks like I didn't make the next round of the AC. Eh, had fun making my entry, and that's what counts.

I suppose back when I first started writing MR it was actually of concern to me, but nowadays I find it hard to imagine that this could pose a problem to anyone. I find it hard staying under two thousand words for a chapter of a comedy. It just doesn't feel like enough room to tell the story segment fully. At this point, checking the word count is not, "Is it long enough?" it's, "Is it too long already?"

I've finished chapter 2, started chapter 3, but I wanted to get some feedback on what I got so far. So I copied my text for chapter 1, converted the BBCode tags to actual italics, neatened it up a bit, and uploaded it.
Once again, this is set after the events at the end of this year's storyline. Hopefully nothing major happens from now on to contradict my premise and screw me up.

To celebrate, yesterday I (finally) opened my birthday present (yes, I know, more than a month late) from my parents. UCS TIE Advanced, awwww yeeeeah. Took me like four hours but it was lots of fun. The thing is huge. HUGE. And there's also a part that IMO was rather poorly designed because if you shake it too much part of the stand pokes through and the chair in the cockpit falls
So I've got this Latin worksheet for homework and there's this one question, "Copy out and give line numbers for all the words related to snakes or snake imagery in this passage."
... what? Uh, well, aside from the fact that the entirety of lines 203-215ish are describing these two snakes... uh... I mean, what are they looking for?

While I really appreciate all the encouragement, I really haven't posted a single chapter, or even an excerpt, of 52-Pickup yet, and I don't want to get everyone's hopes up and all just based on my goal of what I intend to do.
I'm going for something pretty ambitious and I think I have some good ideas but I really don't want to disappoint anyone. Reading over it so far, while I'm satisfied with what I have and it provides a good setup for what I have planned, it's not exactly the funniest o
52-Pickup will make fun of the fandom, among other things. Nothing is sacred except politics, religion, and the word filter.
It's going to be set on Metru-Nui after the final events of this year's storyline (would I have to spoiler this? Whatever).
I've finished chapter 1 (2300~ words) and I'm partway through chapter 2 (900). Got one more scene planned for this chapter, after I finish the current one. Chapter 3 will be exciting.

Well, I was going to just sit there all morning and watch but my sister didn't want to watch so she started dragging me upstairs to play with her (since both my parents were busy).

That, among many other things, has got me thinking.
It's that that's made me think I'm going to write a comedy.
It's the many other things that provide the content.
I don't plan on posting even the first chapter until a significant amount is done. I know where I'm headed, what story I want to tell, and roughly how I'm going to do it. There's going to be an ending
