Car Crash

SPIRIT

In the words of Hagrid, "A CAR CRASH!? A car crash kill Lily an' James Potter?! It's an outrage! It's a scandal!"

As is such, I had a car crash and did not die. But I broke all three bones in my right leg. I tell you this now from my laptop on the hospital Wifi. Don't expect a lot of activity from me in the near future.

I've already had surgery and they've taken my off the morphine. I'm doing well, considering.

UPDATE ON July 15th: they've taken out all my staples and I'm home now. :D

Wow. Just today I was visiting my aunt in the hospital and I thought to myself, "If I ever wind up in a hospital bed, I hope I have my laptop so I can access BZP and other stuff..."

How creepy is THAT?

Oh, and I hope you get better soon. Sounds like you didn't get off too bad. My sister was in a car accident that killed my cousin and two other people. My sister wound up with almost two years of treatment.

Tip for all you guys and gals. Don't ever go twelve miles over the limit down back roads in the rain at midnight just so your stupid pizza doesn't get cold. You just might kill somebody's cousin.

Good luck, Spi. :D

FREAKING OW. I heard that the worst physical pain a human can endure is breaking their femur (I think).

Get well soon!

OR MAYBE THIS IS YOUR GHOST TALKING

...

But man, hope you get better soon. I can't even begin to imagine how painful it can be. :(

What the heck, lop it off and get a prosthetic. You'll look like *insert Star Wars character*.

:lookaround:

What do you mean, 'we don't have the technology'? :???:

Oh man that sucks. I was wondering why you weren't on AIM.

I kinda wanna ask though...

How was the morphine?

Well, it's not the magical substance it's cracked up to be. Sure, it takes away some of the pain and makes it a little harder to focus, but I never felt particularly airy or happy (maybe you need a lot for that). However, one thing it did do was make my dreams EXTREMELY real in that it took me half an hour after waking up to figure out who I was and what had happened to my leg. My brain just melded reality with the television shows I had watched before falling asleep.

"Darn you, Captain Janeway! What have you done to my leg?!?!"

Dude, that really sucks.

My freind was walking backwards in a parkinglot one day, and stumbled over one of those yellow things to stop you car (not a speed bump, those other yellow things that dont have names)

Long story short, he ended up with casts on both arms for a month or so.

I hope you get better faster than that :)
