Remember though, the sets you get from lego are from Denmark. It why the shipping is so expensive.
I'll make sure to do so, estimated date is still the same (Jan 30-Feb 7), however though lego direct are doing the standard "3-5 working days", so I can confirm there is no big issue with bionicle stocks in the UK.
Most likely because they ship it from Denmark, where as Amazin ship from the UK. Keep me updated on your amazon endevour though please.
Not to mention you're on the U.S site, the UK version is the one with this problem, on that subject I just ordered two protectors and three toa from lego directly (funny enough they're not having any issues).
Well I'd like to remind you we have this thing called a "quote button", please use it as otherwise your post can look like it's directed at anyone, and I have no clue what a ball of lead is, and if you wanna know why I did it in the first place it's because I wanted to see if it's a mistake made by amazon for future reference.
Who else would I be talking to? Don't be a ball of lead, please.
You talking to me?I don't know what to tell you.

The ball of lead thing is an attempt to call you dense. Just ignore it and move on.
So, I ordered from Amazon...they'll be here tomorrow because I've got Prime!

They are now all available on the UK S@H...it's beautiful, although I'm still gonna have to wait and see if amazon will get their act together.
Agreed on that one. Not to keen on having a massive boxed stamped LEGO ending up at my door.

I liked cryoshell and would have no qualms of them coming back to Bionicle. Heck, even the trailer music is kind if rocky so it seems to be what they are going for. If there is someone new, that's fine too.

I don't use (or trust) amazon.
Im curious why not. I have never had a problem with it. I think its great.
-
I would love six but I would settle for three.

No. 3 makes no sense. I don't see how any of these look sky/swamp adapted.
True, but I think its the way they should have been done. Keep a big familiarity, only changed to be more modern. The 08 could have been anyone, the 15 Toa are clearly the Mata. I hope they keep a certain familiarity with the sets this time around. Something I think HF did very well in its last few years.

As far as I'm concerned the new Toa are exactly that: New Toa.
Well we all have our opinion, I for one, greatly dislike reboots. Can't stand em. So these 2015 Toa are going to be the Nuvas newest forms. (Toa Nexus?)
Im going to have a number of versions.
1. Completly rebooted
2. Continuation of main story.
3. What the Mistika/Phantoka actually should have looked like.

I was slightly disheartened to learn we wouldn't be getting any villager sets and then I had this story idea. The protectors have kids and pass the title of protector along with their mask down to their offspring, that much we pretty much know. I had this idea where the protectors of current(the ones we get as sets) are soon ready to retire/die/whatever they do. But at this moment they dont feel like the "kids"(I say kids when they would probably be just arriving into adult hood) arnt ready for the responsibility(think chroniclers company), so they give them to the Toa to train under their wing.
I plan to buy an extra set of protectors and make a few changes to them
First things first get rid of all translucent bone pieces to reinforce these guys have no form of elemental power. Aside from altering their builds a tad, I will be removing all armour(not the shells, just the add ons) and weapons.
Then I will change the colours around a bit, using shells and bone peices. Im trying to get as close to the 01 Tohunga as I possibly can. Colour schemes are as follows:
Fire: Yellow and Red
Water: Dark Azure and Mata Blue
Jungle: Bright Green and Teal
Ice: White and Dark Azure
Earth: Black and Purple
Stone: Undecided
What do you guys think?
Eh, I think you're trying to change them more than they need to be. If I were to get them all, I'd probably make a couple of modifications myself, but generally they're pretty well made and have solid color schemes. Though that's just my take, do whatever you want to yours!
Your theory for the protectors isn't bad, but I don't really see a reason for it. It's an interesting idea, but what in particular are you trying to improve in the story with it?
Well, bare in mind Im getting two sets of protectors. One will be kept the same and the others changed like I said above. I have not many qualms with the current builds, I just want to make sure the second batch look different from the first so i can immediately tell who is who.
And its not really a theory, its just a little personal addition. Im not trying to improve the story, just simply have a little more fun with it.

Work of art to be honest.

I think the trailer did its job. To make me hyped for ep VII. I wasnt expecting much in the way of plot details.
-
I actually would love the idea that there's a Daughter that flies in the face of tradition and inherits the mask, even if it's a little tropey.
It's a good trope.
Eh. I would prefer it if they didnt make such a big deal of genders in it. I think there should be a couple of female protectors in the mix and not really much said about it.

I want more characters like The Piraka. They were just so cool and gangsta and I jumped every time Vezok or someone would glare at the screen. I loved the rubber spines and the dual weapons. Oh, and the light up eyes and glow in the dark teeth!
I can't pretend to imagine characters like the Piraka fitting into the style of the new BIONICLE, as released thus far. I know the original started off with a mythical, tribal feeling too, but something about the Legend animation just doesn't jive with the Piraka's gangster feel.
I sort of see where you are coming from, but could you really imagine them in MNOG either? I wont speak for you but I know I cant. Obviously Bionicle changed a lot over the years and the bog question is will this one follow the same path of will it stick to its roots faithfully?
I think I might have figured out what significance the gold skull spider mask might have in the story, notice in the LOSS comic LOSS grabs the gold skull spider mask then all the skull spiders come toward him, this hints towards the idea that whoever owns the gold spider mask controls the skull spiders.
Which could make it the mask of Control. It does have the weird blue spiral coming out of it in LOSS's box art that we have seen on the Mask of Creation

I think that thinking about these sets in BIONICLE terms like "canister sets" can be misleading. After all, not all the heroes are the same size to begin with (there are three $15 Toa and three $20 Toa), and besides, Lord of Skull Spiders already has the same price and the same box size as the $15 Toa (though, as a more Technic-intensive set, he has a much higher piece count). So for all we know the 2016 sets might start doing things like the Hero Factory Breakout series, with half heroes and half villains in each wave, spread across different price points. Also, keep in mind that we don't necessarily know all of the 2015 sets yet! We have only seen the 13 sets from the first half of the year. There are certainly going to be sets in the summer, but what they will be and how many there will be remains a mystery. It does make me wonder though, if 2016 follows suite of 2015 then that means we either have canister villains or canister heroes. I dont know what they would do for that. What do you guys think?
Sorry. When I say Canister I simply mean six main good/bad characters, that's all. I guess it's also important to mention there were more sets in 02 than 01 and in 03 to 02. Bionicle never followed an exact pattern I guess

I think I would be okay if they did a Toa wave with the same characters every 2 or 3 years, I just think that personally I would like to see a new cast if the line goes on after three years. I just would want them to wrap up the Mata arch before bringing in a new team. There are advantages to keeping and changing a set of characters for Bionicle and I think it would be unfair to think there is one simple answer for both sides.

One of the worst aspects of the original line was the constantly changing main characters. Hated hated hated that. I don't want to see new Toa every three years. To me, that seems like the worst possible outcome.
I don't know. I always really liked that aspect of Bionicle. I would have got bored seeing the same characters in different forms.

Turned out nice in the end. Well done Chris. Love the weapon.
Though you know how I feel about the helmet... Honestly I think it really takes the edge off the MOC looks very out of place IMO

While the proportions could use some work (legs are too short compared to the torso), this is overall pretty cool - great use of CCBS. I especially like the feet.
Really? I think the look fine. The colours work great too and the design is great. I feel the beast head juke out a bit almost like he is a tortoise. I feel a more beefy neck would fix this.

He's a tohunga with Toa feet... Obvious winner right here. ;p

One thing I do like about Kopaka is he doesnt seem too bulky. I think he still keeps his slender feel, just with a larger proportion. He looks good.
Great review as well. Keep it up.

Can't tell you how nice it is to see new Bionicle packaging again. Good job guys, can't wait for the review.

So Amazon UK just took a bunch of sets off the site. 8/13 to be exact. This could potentially be a good thing though so I'm waiting until Sunday to see, before I just order them from the lego shop.
