  1. IC: Jake "Wow... Espurr is really powerful. That psyshock probably would have beaten Klefki." Glancing back at Jacob's opponent who was an athletic looking girl, he took on a more thoughtful expression. "I've never seen spikes used that way before. Interesting..." Jake muttered to himself.
  2. I hate puzzle games... like Legend of Zelda. All of them. They are incredible but I hate them.

Actually, I've completed A Link Between Worlds several times, but in older games, such as Ocarina Of Time or Majora's Mask, I either have no clue what I'm doing or the boss is ridiculous.

  3. OOC: Since I have made no posts after and it won't affect any current posts, I changed my post with the memory modification thing to avoid having to write in the form of a depressed teenager. It now says that his mother told him to go have his journey. IC: Jake Jake whistled a merry tune as he jogged back to the Pokecenter, secure with the knowledge that his mother was safe and wanted him to go. Upon his arrival, he smiled at Nurse Joy while she gave him back his Pokemon, Pikachu immediately getting released and hopped onto Jake's shoulder. He left the Pokemon Center, hoping to stop by the Pokemart to grab some more potions and Pokeballs, before noticing a crowd, shouts, and bright flashes of light from a corner near the center. He jogged over and ducked and weaved through the crowd until he could see the Pokemon being used. On one side was a Klefki, and on the other... Pikachu immediately went down the back of Jake's shirt when he saw the particular Espurr being used by none other that Jacob. Jake grinned; he seemed to recall that Jacob had never battled before. "Go Jacob! You got this!" Jake shouted over the noise of the crowd, settling back and hoping to watch what was sure to be an interesting battle.
  4. IC: Jake Jake abandoned his earlier jog and settled into a comfortable sprint, swerving as needed to avoid people, Pokemon, and the occasional streetlight. The wind pulled at his hat, which he hurriedly grabbed and clenched it in his fist as he sprinted through the double doors of the building with his parent's apartment. Not wanting to wait for the elevator, he dashed up the stairs three at a time, reaching the top floor in a new record of 45 seconds. Without stopping, he swung his backpack over his shoulder and grabbed the room key, slamming the small piece of plastic into the lock and bursting into the room. He was allowed a quick glimpse of his mom lying in bed, hands folded over her chest before Jared, the Butler, got in the way. "Young man! What are you doing here? Out, get out! Your mother is too sick for any outside stimulation!" Jared hissed under his breath. Ignoring him, Jake ducked under the butler's outstretched arms and hurried to his mother's side, gently taking her hand and feeling its coldness. He looked at his mother's face, noticing how it looked too still, chest not rising and falling, pulse nonexistent. Tears prickled at his eyes as he looked at his mother, still clutching her hand as if that would bring her back. He felt a hand on his shoulder, gently pressing. He turned around, face like stone only to see a Hypno right in front of his face, pendulum already swinging. "I am very sorry about this sir, but... Hypno, use hypnosis." Jake crumpled to the floor as Hypno used a specialized form of dream eater, erasing all memory of this encounter from Jake's mind, replacing it with the knowledge that his mother had told him to go and be happy, and not to worry about what happened to her. All Jared had to worry about is if Jake ever came back... OOC: Wow... I am shocked. I honestly meant for it to be a happy reuniting scene, and well... wow. I guess I had a bad day. if this is not allowed/tasteful, though I guess it is because of the MURDER OF ASH KETCHUM a while back (main reason I didn't join this RPG when I first found it)
  5. No problem. (You do realize that if we are all traveling together we have the classic kind of group from the anime, right? )
  6. OOC: What is it with me waiting almost a month between posts?... IC: Jake "Alright, cool. I will meet you later at the entrance to Route 203, sound good? See ya later!" Jake turned on his heel, calling over his shoulder, "oh yeah, if you don't already have one you might want to check out the Poketch company! Sometimes they give out free ones!" After that, Jake jogged for a while, before arriving at the Pokemon Center. He returned Pikachu with a flash of red light, before he smoothed his shirt and walked through the glass sliding doors. "Hi Nurse Joy! I'm back!" Jake called up to the counter of the mostly empty Center, where the nurse was working with her back turned. She turned around. "Hello, and welcome- Jake! Where have you been? Your mother has been worried -literally!- sick with you gone! You just up-and left when she needed you most, and now she is bedridden and asking for you and we had to tell her that you ran away!" She took a deep breath, preparing to continue her mini-rant when she noticed a few astonished heads turned in her direction. The normally level-headed Joy blushed and visibly calmed down before saying, "Anyway, she needs you there. I am assuming you need me to heal your Pokemon?" Jake nodded wordlessly and handed her the three Pokeballs. "Thank you, I will pick them up later." Jake turned and left the Pokemon center, walking slowly towards his old home on the top floor of the apartment complex. OOC: Well, wow. Btw, I figure that since Jake lived in Jubilife and is rich, plus his father was a Pokemon trainer, they might know Nurse Joy as a family friend. Hence her freak-out scene.
  7. IC: Jake Jake grinned. "Sounds great. Luckily, Jubilife isn't too far away, so we should be there soon." Jake repressed the urge to chuckle when Pikachu hid (again) behind his hat, only coming out when he was sure the Espurr was gone. The small electric mouse Pokemon waved to the Honedge, uttering a single "Pika!" in greeting.
  8. IC: Jake "Well, I do need to go to Jubilife to pick up some stuff, but after that I was thinking about maybe challenging the Pokemon league. Ever since I was little, I have watched gym battles and league battles, and just felt compelled to try my hand at it." Jake smiled, lost in thought for a few moments before continuing. "Going to the Pokecenter is one of my top priorities at the moment. After that... You said Eterna City, right? Oreburgh is on the way, so I would be game for going there. Are you up for that?" Pikachu chose that moment peek out from behind Jake's head, breathing a sigh of relief when he saw Eyes was no longer staring a him.
  9. IC: Jake "I can agree with that." Noticing the glare from the floating sword, Jake grinned. "I didn't know that a floating sword with one eye could be so expressive. Personally, I think that their entire evolution line are really cool, and their unique typing covers a lot of weaknesses."
  10. IC: Jake "Well, even if she isn't all here, she is still awesome!" At that moment, Pikachu was sufficiently creeped out enough to hide behind Jake's head with his eyes shut tight. "Heh... well, I am sure Pikachu will warm up to her. Eventually." He turned to look at the Honedge floating on the ground, carefully avoiding the Espurr's gaze. "So, what about your Honedge? I've never seen one before. Where'd you meet it?"
  11. Also, on the mobile version Comic Sans turns into an extremely florid version of cursive and is nearly impossible to read without copious amounts of time. BTW, This game is looking awesome still! Can't wait for multiplayer mode!
  12. EDIT: please ignore, I thought this was planning topic.
  13. IC: Jake "Well, she will look fluffier, I guess, and will stare at stuff in a hopefully less creepy fashion. Plus, aren't Meowstic supposed to be really strong? In the Pokedex there was something about being able to crush a ten-ton bus." Pikachu decided to continue the staring contest with the Espurr from atop Jake's head, making his eyes as wide as possible to meet her slightly soulless gaze.
  14. OOC: Thanks for the catch, I normally look back on the previous posts, but they were deleted in the hack. I edited it. IC: Jake Jake smiled. "Great. I really just have to pick up some stuff in Jubilife." Jake glanced at Espurr, who was once more staring at Pikachu. He sighed. "Sorry if I've already asked, but... is Espurr always staring like this?"
  15. IC: Jake Jake took a deep breath to calm his nerves, before turning to.. what was his name? Right, Jacob. "Thanks Jacob. It was a very fun battle, but sorry about the mud." "Anyway," Jake said while turning towards his opponent. "That was a great battle, but if we ever meet again I have a feeling there will be a very different outcome. So, goodbye for now!" Jake turned to Jacobonce more. "So, you said you were heading towards Jubilife City, right? I was going there too, so would it be too much trouble to ask if I could go with you? The road is lonely when you are alone." As if in response, Pikachu popped out of his ball and jumped on Jake's head, lightly flicking his trainer's forehead with his tail. Jake grinned and said, "Well, not quite alone. But what do you say?"
  16. IC: Jake Due to the trick room, Charmeleon's normally excellent speed turned against him as the wave of sleep washed over him. With a tired yawn, the fire type keeled over and fell asleep. "Charmeleon, return!" A beam of red light enveloped Jake's Pokemon and returned it to its ball. "Wow, you are a great battler! Your Pokemon are all really strong, especially Swampert," Jake called as he walked over to the other trainer. "And you were great too," he said, addressing the still floating Munna this time. "How did you get so strong? And did I make any blatantly obvious mistakes?" Jake took a deep breath to halt the rush of questions; that had been his first real battle, and he was still feeling traces of adrenaline in his system.
  17. IC: Jake Jake watched helplessly as Squirtle, after executing a new attack flawlessly, seemed to go into slow motion after the Trick Room went into effect, before he doubled over clutching his head as the Psychic took effect. Being unused to battling, Squirtle fainted. "Squirtle, return!" As the turtle Pokemon was pulled back into his ball by the red beam, Jake took a deep breath. "Charmeleon, lets go!" With a nod, Charmeleon stepped out to battle with the Munna. "Dragon Rage, now!" With a roar, Charmeleon spat out a ball of bluish yellow energy, headed directly for the Munna.
  18. So for the Eragon RPG, I have the Background typed up. I figured out how to lessen the amount of dragons: Galbatorix was never killed. For the Vault of Souls to be remembered, Galby must be dead. Only two dragons per side (because Murtagh stayed with the King). How about it?
  19. IC: Jake Him switching to Munna, along with his response to Jake's question, had allowed enough time for the Squirtle to wake up, thus becoming immune to the nightmare. Jake grinned. "Alright, lets start off with our best combo! Water Gun and Aqua Tail! Or as I like to call it..." Jake paused dramatically. "Aqua Spear!" With that, Squirtle withdrew into his shell and blasted water out of the back, turning the turtle into a rocket-powered projectile. Simultaneously, he stuck his tail out and covered it with water. The result looked like an Aqua Jet, but was rocket powered and was more of a spear-looking thing. "Top that!" He taunted as Squirtle rocketed towards the floating Munna.
  20. IC: Jake Pikachu had executed the Quick Attack perfectly, and did a half roll and twist to land lightly on the ground. At least, he would have if the Blizzard hadn't slammed into him, sending the electric mouse rocketing back into Jake's stomach. The impact caused by the high-velocity Pikachu had knocked the breath out of him and caused him to lose balance, landing on his backside while reflexively holding the mouse Pokemon against his chest. "I think you are done for today," Jake gently told his friend as he returned him to his Pokeball. "Great job." The only hope I have against him is Squirtle... but I'm not sure if he is even awake, much less on Swamperts level. I have been outclassed from the beginning. But I won't give up. Not now, not ever! After letting his thoughts run on for a split second, Jake decided that there was only one way to finish this... and that was to go out in style. "Squirtle, come on out!" With a flash of light, the tiny turtle Pokemon materialized. Luckily, he was starting to wake up, but not quickly. Curse you and your heavy sleeping habits, he thought good naturedly. "Lets show them that evolution is overrated!" He encouraged his awakening Pokemon. In an effort to buy time, although he was also genuinely curious, Jake called over to the opposing trainer, "Your Swampert is very well raised. How long have you been his trainer?"
  21. Random question #58: An Inheritance Cycle RPG, set in the aftermath of the war against Galbatorix. He was defeated but not killed, and basically over the northern half of Alageasia. However, the dragons did reawaken, for people on his side and on Eragon's side. So... what do you think?
  22. IC: Jake That Swampert is just too powerful... I have to find a way to knock it down a few pegs. "Pikachu, dodge and use Thunderbolt on the Muddy Water, then Quick Attack!" Pikachu landed, then skipped almost lazily to the side before using Thunderbolt on the Swampert's attack, sending electricity arcing down its length towards Swampert. He then quickly charged towards his opponent, white light enveloping his body as he charged towards the sunken Swampert at high speeds.
  23. Nothing is powerful enough to resist the Tyranids...

  24. IC: Jake Exactly as planned Pikachu should be in position.... now. Unbeknownst to Justin, Pikachu had been waiting for this command and jumped onto Swampert's head and used it as a springboard to jump high into the air. Jake grinned as he saw his yellow friend rising backwards out of the cloud. "Now, Electroball on the ground beneath his feet!" Pikachu quickly charged the ball of electricity on his tail and did a frontflip, launching the ball into the ground beneath Swampert, which had already been destabilized due to Earthquake. Jake grinned as the dust began to clear, eager to see the outcome of his little stunt.
  25. IC: Jake Of course he has a Swampert... well I'll just have to switch. "Charmeleon, switch out with Pikachu!" Charmeleon backed off, and Pikachu took the field, sparks crackling from his cheeks. "You may have a type advantage, but I have strategies specifically to deal with ground types!" He called across the field to Justin. "Pikachu, Agility, run circles around him, and at the same time use Iron Tail and drag it on the ground!" Pikachu practically dissapeared, and all that could be seen was a yellow blur running a ten foot circle around Swampert. When he started dragging his tail, a huge dust cloud kicked up around Swampert.
