The biggest complaint I have about the Viper is that it has such low center of gravity for its wheelbase. Usually you see a wheelbase of similar length on a pick-up truck, but on the Viper, its length causes some pretty obnoxious handling in everyday driving. In all honesty the Viper doesn't even make a good racecar because of its handling handicap, since road course racing is difficult with it. Oval track or drag racing would probably be doable with the Viper but I've never really li...

Low center of gravity is never a bad thing. Especially when the 2nd generation Dodge Viper's wheelbase is nearly 14 inches shorter than a 2014 Mustang's. The handling of the Viper may be considered obnoxious to those who aren't into performance driving, but for those who value performance over comfort, it's beautiful. The Viper also does make quite the formidable racecar, actually: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysler_Viper_GTS-R It's at home on the road course.
