  1. I liked the Metru heads because they had the same features as the Mata masks but the masks wouldn't fall of:)
  2. I've never called anything in Bionicle, but my worst fail was when I got Reidak for Christmas 2005. Since my parents always got my the Toa first, and from the descriptions from the Lego magazine, I assumed that the Piraka were the new Toa:)
  3. Pahnrak, or whatever the name of the brown Bohrok was:P
  4. I was initially upset with the lack of mask powers, but then I realized that these aren't the first Toa to not have mask powers different than their element. Of Lego can pull of Toa Takanuva and Toa Ignika, it will work well with the new heros
  5. I have to say that I loved all the years of Bionicle so it is very hard for me to choose just one so I'll say what I liked about every year and then say my favorite. 2001- this was the year that started it all, and I have to say that this year had the best masks of all the years 2002- this year had the Bohrok, who were a brilliant villain for the Bionicles to go up against. The Titans this year were pretty good as well 2003- this was the year that I finally began to get really into Bionicle. I loved the Bohrok-Kal and the Rahkshi, as well as the Toa Nuva. I liked the movie at the time and this year had all of the most iconic Titans for a long time: Makuta, Takanuva, and peaceful Rahi! 2005: While the Toa Hordika were not great, the year featured my two favorite Toa: Norik and Iruini. It also had one of my favorite Titans, Keetongu 2006: I liked the Titans, but nothing else comes to mind as being special for that year. I really disliked the Piraka, whose constant betraying got old very quickly. 2007: Some of the Barraki were brilliant as well as the Toa Mahri, but this year had some disasters like the Gadunka. 2008: This year had the highest potential, and it did its best to live up to it. If they had had more of a final battle-ish style and a less underwhelming summer sets, this would have been my favorite:) I'm getting Takanuva this Friday so it may go up in my estimation:) 2004 was my favorite year, because I love the Toa Metru and the titans more than any other year because of their looks, cool powers, and their place in the storyline. 2009- while the worst year for the story, my favorite year for just the sets:)
  6. Thanks for the link ark!
  7. I'd like other teams of Toa after a few years
  8. Definitely 2006 for me. I didn't like the fact that the Piraka couldn't go 3 seconds without betraying each other, and that we never really got to meet the Toa teams from then on. I liked the Titans, but that was it. I liked 2005 because of my two favorite Lego sets, Norik and Iruini as well as Keetongu:) I also really liked 2009.
  9. The mask on the bootleg looks really angry to me for some reason
  10. Dubstep would be great!
  11. I consider it a good design if you can put someone who has never seen bionicles before in a room with Bionicles from many different years, and ask them to pick out which ones were released at the same time. As long as they can be identified as a team, I'm cool with it:)
  12. I'm fine with new designs of the same character but I really liked the only spending two or three years on one Toa Team so we got new designs of different heros as well.
  13. Good drawing, but Tahu Mistika was closer to the original. Does your friend like Bionicle (just curious)?
  14. Very private. At my high school, people make fun of the Lego Movie a lot, so I have never brought up Bionicle in public. I prefer to keep my interests like that private:)
  15. I'm fine with no Mata-Nui because he was always a damsel in distress in the old Bionicle, and eventually that got old.
  16. Well I love a certain degree of uniformity because it makes the Toa look like a team. For example, I like the Metru because I like their design and how they look like a team. I don't really like it to the level of everyone having the same mask, though For the 2008 I never really felt like they did enough scenes with all of the Toa together and I only have 3 of them so I can't really say but I felt like they looked like a team
  17. There's this character called Tahu who I think was in the original Bionicle... On a more serious note, I think it's too early to be talking about Easter
  18. I've actually warmed up to the idea of no extra mask powers. Onua, Gali, and Lewa's old mask powers can still be given to them as regular powers, and it wouldn't be hard to make Pohatu be a fast runner:) Also, there's always headcanon:)
  19. What the heck Lego? The mask powers were so cool! It's like they're slowly ruining everything I like about Bionicle- cheapness, mask powers, and character traits... I don't think that books are a bad medium, especially since from what I've seen of other tv shows from Lego, they are just for little kids and there isn't a lot for an older audience.
  20. 1) Kopaka (love his color scheme and weapons) 2) Pohatu (boomarangs look cool, he just looks fast in the picture) 3) Gali (best Gali since the Oldas) 4 Tahu (love his design but he just isn't as good looking as the others) 5) Lewa (cool design but he looks boring) 6) Onua (he looks ok but he should be in all silver, not gold and silver)
  21. The medium sized sets are like two dollars more expensive than they were in 2009, when Bionicle last had medium sized sets. "Almost double" is an exaggeration.Well since in 2009 I could get all the main canister sets for 78 dollars where I am, and in 2015 it will cost me 105 dollars, yeah it is an exaggeration. But still, look at how much it has gone up...
  22. They could make the canister sets almost double the price of the Gen one sets, kinda ruining the thing of saving up ten bucks for an important character.
  23. I really hope they will be, but if they can't be found I'll just ask for some older Bionicle sets for Christmas
  24. I like the idea of a reboot and I feel like Lego has made all the right changes. If you look at the Toa's bios, their personalities were already somewhat formed in 2003, in fact, some parts of the bios could have been directly copy and pasted from a 2003 Bionicle Encyclopedia. The only reason I didn't vote strong yes was that 1) there were no matoran or Turaga appearances confirmed, and 2) the number of Hero sets heavily outnumbers the villains.
  25. No giant robots No making stuff that will never be made into set form vital to the story (still bitter that Lariska got a huge role in the serials and books but Umbra only gets one mention Don't go too quickly Make peaceful sets as well. I liked the Guko bird and the Kohliitoran and they didn't have any weapons Help us get to know the characters more. I never felt like we got to know the Inika/Mahri Release more storylines than just one (NOTE: main storylines not serials)
