  1. Idk if I will even see it. Last night, I watched the Dark Knight for the first time and that blew every other superhero movie I have seen out of the water. Idk if I can take a parody movie and everything after that...
  2. Great goal! Do you already speak some Spanish? If not you're gonna need a lot of determination to become fluent in a year. I should really learn Spanish again, I spoke it fluently when I was a kid but I forgot most of it in the past few years. I'm in Spanish 3, and I'm the best at it in that class (this semester). I asked for help from this one Hispanic junior in my last semester class, and we texted each other in Spanish for awhile but she's too busy/apathetic for it to help as much as I hoped. I'll kind of have to teach myself, but learning Spanish has been a really humbling and fun experience for me!
  3. The 08 Rebublic Gunship is mine, partly because of the memories/nostalgia behind it and the fact that it is one of my oldest complete star wars sets still intact-despite its best efforts to the contrary
  4. I agree I'd like to see more constraction themes, but I think it would be a bad idea for BIONICLE to "take a break" to allow for that. If it did, then you'd see BIONICLE fans blaming the new themes for them not getting new BIONICLE sets that year, same as happened with Hero Factory, which would really take a huge chunk out of the theme's potential appeal with BIONICLE fans. If we get more constraction themes, it should be because the actual market for constraction themes has expanded. Which will probably happen if BIONICLE becomes wildly successful. Idk how another constraction would go. On one hand, I'd get more pieces to build with and modify my Bioncles with. On the other hand, my wallet is already really stretched as it is and I don't think I could afford anything else after buying all 7 Toa plus villain sets ....There's a seventh Toa?Whoops, sorry, meant LoSS as the 7th set

  6. I disagree. The 2009 sets were some of mg favorites, and I don't find the first few years of CCBS that impressive. The few hero factory sets I got all seemed to be clones and I never could get into them.
  7. What don't you like about Kopaka? He's one of my favorites. Don't get me wrong, I think Kopaka is great, but I don't like him as much as the others because his shoulder armor makes his neck seem small as well as making it awkward to lift his arm up. His shield has been giving me grief for both scenes and for playing, it's too big and without it his spear is underwhelming as his lone weapon. Don't get me wrong, I really like him, as much as both the Glatorian and Toa Metru, my two other favorite sets.
  8. Lego made some technics Star Wars sets. I got two of them, Jango Fett and a Storm Trooper. That in and of itself wasn't that weird, but the fact that they couldn't move from the waist down yet the cannons on them hinting that they were for play not show. The weirdest thing about them was that they could only move in 3 places despite being the size of 08 Takuanuva
  9. Yes. I think that the 2009 would have worked better had all the loose ends in 2008 been tied up.
  10. Mine are: Try to get fit Rebuild some of my old Lego sets Be able to fluently speak Spanish
  11. I have some Naruto, Transformers, and Gundam figures, or models in the Gundam'a case, but those all have mainly been stop gaps for Bionicles.
  12. These new Toa are potentially the best ever, with the exception of Kopaka.
  13. I think the best themes that carry over are the Kingdom themes because Lego usually uses the same basic color schemes for them.
  14. I don't think all the sets were to scale in Gen 1. After all, my later Toa were as large as or larger than Makuta
  15. Some of my headcannons are: The Red Star never existed as a resurrection satellite. The idea of resurrection just rubs be the wrong way Only the two Toa Hagah and all of the Toa Metru became Toa again. I just couldn't have my favorite group of Toa sit out at the end Reidak, Avak, and Zaktan were not as evil as their other Piraka brethren. Nor were Ehlek and Carapar evil. They tried to help the Toa with their search for the Mask of Life Exo-Toa fought alongside of real Toa. Bohrok were never Matoran Defilak turns into Hydraxon, not Dekar The Toa's Phantoka and Mistika forms are not permanent. They went back to using their Nuva forms. The Toa Nuva never fought and lost against the Piraka. Mata-Nui stayed in his Toa form after the battle between him and Makuta The Giant Robot was never the Matoran Universe
  16. I voted Tahu because his design is the best, and his color scheme just kills it Gali for some reason just looks really cool to me, but all 4 middle sized sets were really something! I chose protector of Air, but he wasn't head and shoulders above the rest of them...
  17. You guys won't believe where I found all six Toa and the LoSS. At Barnes and Noble of all places! They had them all sitting out on their shelves. On top of that, I get 10% off there
  18. I have to say the last Hogwarts Castle. It was a killer combination of my two favorite childhood things: Harry Potter and Legos
  19. Space Police, Dino Attack, and especially Alpha Team were my favorites
  20. I'm planning to get all of them throughout the year.
  21. This. I feel like once a team solves all their problems and can work together very well, they start to get more boringThat's because having fixable problems as a character's only defining personality traits is poor writing. Do your friends get boring as soon as they get along well with you and others? Of course not, because they're real people with actual, complex personalities, not just a shallow, forced tendency to argue and part ways with their teammates at every opportunity. The heroes of LEGO Ninjago have managed to last so long as protagonists because despite growing and overcoming the flaws and misgivings of their youth as they've gained experience, they still have very genuine personality differences. Kai no longer wants to do everything on his own terms, but he's still rather hasty and hot-headed. Zane is no longer worried about not knowing where he comes from or where he belongs, but he's still very analytical and a bit humorless. Sometimes these things still cause tensions, because you can't just write off a core aspect of your personality because it's getting in the way of teamwork. But they have learned to accept each other for their faults and help each other overcome them. I find it a bit ridiculous that some people consider the ninja of LEGO Ninjago childish when in fact they work better as teammates than the Toa Mata, and they didn't need to learn the importance of teamwork three or four times to get to that point. Outside of LEGO brands, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (another franchise which is just as merchandise-driven) is going into its fifth season and hasn't yet had to replace a single member of its main cast. Sure, there are a few gripes about how they're characterized in particular episodes (as there are in any franchise), but in general fans still love the characters even though they've been able to learn from their mistakes and grow past them. Do you think really think Tahu and his team will get "boring" quicker than a nerdy purple unicorn or a timid yellow pegasus? I'd like to think that if written right they could have just as much staying power, if not more. If they get boring after three years, it means the writers have not done the characters justice. And that's not something fresh faces will fix, because without good writing the new characters will turn out to be just as shallow. Well, it sounds to me like Ninjago has done a mucho better job developing the main characters than Bionicle did. They made Tahu become generic leader 5,000 and he seemed to lose all of his hot-headedness randomly. I also feel like Bionicle LOVED to manufacture teamwork problems in the first couple of years to help develop the characters, which had its pros and cons. The thing about Ninjago which sounds cool is characters that still have traits, which from 2006 onwards I say Bionicle had trouble doing. However, I still dislike too many versions of the same character because I dislike the basic idea: That the main character needs to be updated so many times. Also, more new heroes contributes to the chronicle-y part of them. The history aspect of Bionicle was really cool, and multiple teams really help this imo.

  23. I bought one off eBay last month for $30?
  24. Holy ! That's brilliant! I love the color scheme and the design. I wish my MOCs looked that cool
  25. I never like the Turaga Nuju's Matatu at all. It looked to big and ugly for me. Also, it didn't look good in the color gray.
