I did once have an idea of slizers or robo-riders being introduced to bionicle as antagonists who mistake the toa for enemies in an act of over-zealous-jingoistic defence of their home world, which was the true moon of Spherus Magna. But other than that not much. You could do the slizers as some sort of racing based story, but I don't think that would do much to help them sell.

I don't remember any mention of machines that made new people, although I know Artakha can make Matoran if given the right resources by the Great Beings. The Red Star was supposed to keep the population stable by ensuring nobody dies, so that counters that idea. In fact, this does lead to the point that the Great Beings were possibly the most foolish creators in any setting, with their plan to fix a broken planet being a giant robot that would take 100000 years, was inhabited only my mechanical races that had no way to repopulate themselves and having the most laborious emergency reboot system imaginable encase the central intelligence got broken.

But on a larger scale the whole Vortixx race for making people climb a lethal omnicidal mountain for political influence, when there is only a limited population that can only decrease and the red star just isn't working any more, so any death is effectively perma-death.

Not sure if this counts as a reboot or new theme idea, but I've always wanted to see a castle theme where each set was the part of a larger castle. There was no set design, just that every set could link up to build what ever castle you wants. You want an academy of magic? - Buy wizard towers and guard houses. Want a fortified town? - Fortified Houses and walls. Palace fit for a king? - Throne room and Grand Hall.

I don't think adventures would be rebooted any time soon, Lego has the rights to produce Indiana Jones sets, which adventures was always based off of. I'm all for rebooting all the others you suggested however. I would also like to see Slizers, but Bionicle kinda puts them out of the market, unless the Slizers are included into the Bionicle mythos or become the hero factory like replacement when G2 finishes.

I thought the six original rahi that existed in set form where were regular creatures like crabs, tigers, flies, etc, that Makuta had gathered up and thrown into what amounted to a large cauldron and used black magic to create horrible robo-monsters to attack the matoran. And the whole island of Mata Nui was on some strange lego world, thousands of miles across the ocean from all the other lego series of the time. .............. And then Metru Nui came out and I realised when I was wrong.

That's basically the logic I had when I started this thread, I have a feeling that Bionicle would become to Lego what Transformers is for Hasbro, so I think that a 3rd generation is very possible.

I can understand the rest of your points, but I think there is some confusion with the turaga. My idea is that there is a shared sub-conscience between all matoran, toa and turaga. If there is not enough turaga for a particular matoran population, this sub-conscience presence chooses a matoran, who is the wisest and best leader amongst that population, and upgrades the matoran into a turaga, increasing their size and physical capabilities ( the not as much as a matoran does by become a toa), allow them to absorb their native element, use their mask powers, repair golden masks, build new armour and weapons for toa in dire need, and most importantly, massively increase their base of knowledge and wisdom, both by accessing the shared sub-conscience through meditation and by improve the capabilities of their minds.

Fine, but it lasts for a 100 years and bionicle never gets a reboot. I wish for the power of weather control.
