What would you have changed?
Doctor Makuta replied to Lorentz's topic in Bionicle Storyline & Theories
No the BoM creating matoran and giving them artificial elements then brainwashing them and setting them loose somewhere. -
What would you have changed?
Doctor Makuta replied to Lorentz's topic in Bionicle Storyline & Theories
I would have liked a Toa Team of "Evil" elements to have been the main villains for the year for one of the years. Think about it a Toa Team created by the BoM with fake elements such as Radiation, Plague (disease), Pollution, etc. Even better a light drained Ahkmou as their Toa of Shadow leader. -
Interested. PM'd.

Simplifying the Species List
Doctor Makuta replied to Click's topic in Bionicle Storyline & Theories
I think Amphibax being from the same species as Ehlek would be good, Nocturn and Sentrahk could come from the same species, considering they look similar as well.- 74 replies

Yep, and it bothers me greatly. I was so pleased with how the sets handled the characters' heights (especially since Pohatu and Onua have traditionally been the shortest), so to have the animations completely ignore the sets' relative heights and make Onua the tallest of the Toa is a bit of a disappointment. That's probably my biggest gripe with the animations, all things considered. I mean, is it really that bad though? Dr. Makuta made a good point of him looking like the incredible Hulk of the group, and if anything it makes more sense that he's the biggest since he is advertized as a "sleepy giant" and a large hulking figure. Height only makes this a little more prominent. I can't say I'm a fan of it, mostly because it leaves Onua overpowered in comparison to the other Toa. I mean, the guy can pick up two Toa with his bare hands. That does no good for team balance. I have no problem with that physical strength. It's typical of Onua and balanced by the fact that other Toa are faster or can attack with more range or finesse. I do think that he doesn't need to be taller than the other Toa to look strong, and conversely, that Toa like Tahu and Kopaka don't need to be made shorter in the interest of "balance". I'm not complaining about it. If anything I would have liked it if set Onua was that size.

BBC Contest #69 Final Poll!
Doctor Makuta replied to Tufi Piyufi's topic in Official BBC Contest #81 Voting
I voted number 5 for this one. However this has some great entries. Well done to all the finalists and good luck! -

It would be pretty cool if he turned out to lead them for atleast a bit, but knowing LEGO it will probably be Tahu leading them. If they get a leader.

So has anyone else brought up the fact that Onua is disproportionate to his set compared to the movies?

Doctor Makuta replied to ALVIS's topic in Bionicle Storyline & Theories
I see purity being fine and prosperity. However I the other two I dont agree with since Creation is a legendary power, and faith just doesnt really sound like a proper power.- 83 replies

Why wouldn't we? I mean it doesnt really make sense to do that, unless they want to encourage people to buy them online. I think Makuta of Oz is just jumping to conclusions. It's literally been less than a week since he posted about his first sighting of them. It's not at all that uncommon for sets to not show up all at once, particularly at physical retail locations. If they don't have the other sets by next month, then you might have reason to worry... but there's no point in hyperventilating about any region "not getting" the full range of winter sets seeing as the summer sets are still like five months away. Well considering we've already been waiting a month and a half longer than the rest of the world it's only natural I be concerned, especially after having to wait NINE months for Toa Ignika, the most sought-after set of 2008. Yeah honestly I don't blame you. I've never been a fan of the fact we get stuff later than the rest of the world. Bionicle is not exempt from this, I mean we're supposed to be a first world country.

How did you acquire your Tohunga sets?
Doctor Makuta replied to Rooster Nui's topic in Bionicle Discussion
Got em all from Mcdonalds. I even remember the commercial. -
Oh my goodness, they're finally here!

2006. ALthough 2007, 2001 and 2002 would have been good to.

Of note is that the Myer website now has Bionicle in the search "Suggested Keywords" even if there are no results. For example if you type "Bionicle" you'll get suggestions like "Bionicle protector of" or "Bionicle Gali". The Toa names appear too, for example typing "Onua" gets you "Onua master of". Hopefully atleast Myer gets them in.

Neither have I man. Haven't seen any sets in any stores yet <.< ...Hopefully they should start appearing next week... Hopefully... Australian over and out No, I have a date for when they'll be in store. 7th of Feb. Another week and a half of listening to the Americans and Europeans complaining about how their Kopaka's shield is too hard to pose. :anger: so they're not out till the 7th in Aus? >,>
