  1. Since when was brown not an appealing color? Is that why they removed it in late 2006? Brown sets consistently sold the worst out of every wave. My point is that you can still have a good brown set, you just need to use it right. OP proves this with this MOC. The tan and Mata brown, normally dull colors on their own, are used here with metallic highlights and arranged such that they generate a warm color scheme despite having no red or yellow and just a teeny bit or orange. Brown is a neutral color, so brown and tan aren't technically analogous colors because they're not on the color wheel; but the effect produced is the same here. The darker parts pop really nicely, though I feel like there should be something around this guy's abs to balance him out more around his middle. By contrast, Onua Metru looks like a poop golem. I know we have a "no potty humor" rule, but...come on, how else can I describe it? Pohatu Mata's better about it, but the orientation of his torso coupled with the somewhat restrictive color schemes of the Mata still leaves him looking similarly fecal, if not nearly as ugly. Metallic armor remedies this, but it can't truly make it go away. The best way to handle it is to use multiple, well-balanced shades of brown, ideally coupled with some other color to break it up. Though he could have more brown on him, Master Pohatu handles this pretty nicely, and I'd say he's the most visually appealing brown set to date (Vorox probs comes in second). By contrast, though not nearly as turd-like, Uniter Pohatu looks the most boring hallucination ever because he's just 14 million poorly-arranged shades of brown with some silver. Lego finally had it, and then they lost it for reasons I cannot begin to comprehend. Four things: 1. By Onua Metru, don't you mean Onewa Metru? 2. Why does he look like a "poop golem" to you? 3. Uniter Pohatu looks fine, but maybe I just have different color scheme preferences. 4. The only time I think that Uniter Pohatu looks strange is when he's wearing his Gold Mask of Unity.
  2. IC: Akkitu-Tesara Market, Talking with Tekmo and Zerial Akkitu shot Tekmo an annoyed expression, and picked the piece up from the ground. "Yes, it's only the shell. Next time, don't swipe things from me like that!"
  3. IC: Akkitu- Tesara Market, talking with Tekmo and Zerial "It was just a normal day at the market. People were hanging out together, and shopping. I was at this very board when we were attacked. It started with several large explosions, and everybody who had a weapon or a ship walked or flew to the scene of the battle. There were three Maxilos robots- wearing cloaks for some reason- firing Electro-Rockets at the market stalls. One of them seemed to be looking for something. I was in my Jetrax firing at them. I hit one, and it blew a large crater into the ground. After that, I landed my ship and confronted the robots face-to-face with the Tesaran Guard and a couple of Ga-Matoran. One of the remaining Maxilos started dueling a guardsman named Mirror. I helped him fight it, while the Ga-Matoran attacked the other, one of whom ended up ramming the robot with her own head! We were eventually able to defeat them, but not before a good deal of the marketplace was destroyed. While cleaning up the remains of the battle, I found a piece of an Electro-Rocket. It might be a clue to whoever sent the robots in the first place," said Akkitu, recounting the battle. He also held out the rocket shell to Tekmo and Zerial.
  4. I don’t know. It’s like Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, where Raphael is the leader of the Turtles instead of Leonardo. It doesn’t feel right. Kopaka just has a bad temper. I mean, he is a bit strict. Sometimes snotty. At least he's more intelligent than Tahu.
  5. IC: Akkitu- Tesara Marketplace Message Board, Talking with Zerial "Oh, hi. We were attacked just yesterday by three Maxilos robots armed with Electro-Rockets. I was helping the clean-up crews, but I'm currently on break."
  6. Would it be permissible for the device Akkitu uses to open the Sight's cockpit (the "keys") to have a screen that displays live feed from the Sight's camera systems?
  7. Maybe we will have a Ko-Toa leading the team this time.
  8. An animated series would suit Bionicle much better than anything else that could be done for it. Even the G1 movies have flaws, like leaving out key parts of the story for the sake of time constraints. TV episodes could fill those holes in quite well.
  9. IC: Akkitu- Tesara Market Akkitu walked up to the bulletin board after seeing being scrutinized by an Agori, who looked espicially concerned with some bit of information on it. He looked it over, and then noticed the map. "Iron never dies?" he read. "I suspected as much. Fe seems to be back."
  10. Sorry. I will go and fix that now.
  11. IC: Akkitu- Tesara Market As he regarded the piece of rocket shell, he wondered if it could be a potential clue to whoever was behind the attacks.
  12. IC: Akkitu- Market Aftermath As Akkitu moved the dirt that was ejected by the blasts back into place, his shovel hit something hard. Picking it up, he saw that it was a piece of an Electro-Rocket.
  13. IC: Explota- Refectory The lunch line was short that day, so Explota had an easy time getting the food- more like gruel- from the counter. Sitting down at the table with Draco, he realized that he would have to drink the slop directly out of the bowl, as no utensils were provided. The armor covering Explota's head peeled back, revealing the face of the kraata beneath. Not sure of any other way to go about drinking it, he stuck his face directly into the thick liquid. With a loud slurp, the Panrahk drew some of the gruel into his mouth. "Yuck! It doesn't taste like anything except stale air!" complained Explota.
  14. The art is quite detailed, isn't it?
  15. Tarix and Vastus: Why is Raanu staring blankly at a guy with a camera?
  16. Out comes Artahka, holding a blueprint for the SpaceX Crew Dragon. In goes a Noble Rau.
  17. Taking the mask from Downfall and Ignika, you temporarily forget that you are still on a boat, with a liferaft tied behind it. I am in the raft, and jump on to the main motorboat. After a short struggle, I take the mask and put all three of you on the raft. Using a katana, I cut the rope connecting the two watercraft, and then gun the motor, leaving you floating in the water far behind me. My mask!
  18. I never got that, even as a kid. Always 6 villains, always with colors corresponding to the good guys. The '09 arc at least tried to mix it up by messing with the good guy:bad guy ratio. We haven't gotten any sets since 2016, and we haven't gotten any good sets since 2009.Speak for yourself. G2 had superior set design to G1 in every technical sense, and the sets looked mighty fine too, thank you very much. G2’s poseability was inferior to late G1, honestly, which is important to me. I can hardly move a G2 Toa’s head without removing their mask. I don't know how anyone has this problem. I just squeeze the head from the front and the back or hold it by the "skull" part, and I can move it just fine. Besides that, there's more articulation in the Uniters than any standard G1 set, with the only issues being pretty easy to mod out. EDIT: BTW, look at the latest image Faber posted. At the top of the canister, there's a Matoran letter--either E or M, depending on the orientation. Could stand for the occupant's name, which would mean new characters. I don't have that problem with G2 heads. As long as I hold on to more than just the mask, it's perfectly fine.
  19. Uganu EDIT: Sorry if that takes up too much space.
  20. The top looks like it has a Life-Counter gear in the middle. Torran is right. That symbol in the gear does look like the Matoran "m" or "e".
  21. One for Bionicle, and Bionicle for all? Anyway, "B is a mindset" tells me he's not literally doing anything named "Bionicle" or anything which is literally an adaptation of it. It may be Bionicle in everything but name, it may be thematically the same with different characters, or whatever. I'm just happy that Lego's not going to force it to have to coincide with a toyline, freeing up Faber and co. to do what they want. Hopefully, they're the right hands for this project; if so, I'll gladly accept this as G3 if it's a big enough project.Even so, Lego sets for it would be welcome.
