Yeah. You know what I mean. Just look at, say, the English Fire Emblem site. Then look at the Japanese one (assuming you can find it). You don't need to be able to read it. But if you're that desparate, use Google Languages for a shoddy translation.
See the difference? You don't need to be a whiz at Japanese to know that there's so much more on the Japanese site. On the English site for Radiant Dawn (the game, I stress again, is EPIC WIN), they just stuck shallow character briefs (ripped directly from the game), useless short films and wallpapers, expecting us to be happy. Yet over on the Japanese site, there's so much more information: a museum, lengthy profiles for each game, an official website per game, important details regarding the soon-to-be eleventh title in the series... there's even this little Fire Emblem slot machine. Heeheehee, pegasi...
And it's not just Fire Emblem, either. I've taken a look at the Japanese Pokémon site, and in comparison, the English one is a complete failure. On the other hand, it was a complete failure in my eyes BEFORE I saw the Japanese site. It takes too long to load; when it finally does, there's practically nothing there. Plus, the Flash seems dodgy; some time ago, I tried clicking on something and it kept reloading the homepage. But at least I've found an excellent fansite for it. I won't link; it has forums.
On the other hand, I STILL haven't found a halfway-decent Fire Emblem fansite. I've found two reasonable ones, but both are severely lacking all around. It's getting to the stage where I'm almost considering making my own.
