  1. It's quite an ambitious project by Square with this one. The only downside is I'm not too encouraged to get a PS3 just yet. If the prices start dropping and Rock Band rocks as hard as they say it will...then maybe we'll talk.

Interesting name change by the way. May I ask what inspired the shift to an X-2 name?

  2. Getting thrown out at 2nd's no biggy(o). Just Craig making sure you remember #3000. Congrats to him. Especially for doing it all with the same team. That's something you don't see much these days. Minnesota just had Brad Radke retire as a career Twin. It's a cool feeling, one which I agree we'll start seeing die in the next few years.

  3. Remind me, what do you do again? Something with computers I think.

Is this a 9-5 job, as they say? (I guess maybe it's earlier...)

Software Engineer, working on the backend of a search engine type thing. And yeah, it's your traditional 9-5 (in this case 8-4) cubicle job.

  4. Revenge is sweet.......

    And I didn't do a thing. :D

    -Omi

    Best revenge there is.

The kind where it just happens.

Ah, but it's better than revenge. It's irony. Revenge implies you had a hand in the events, at which time you'd feel at least a hint of guilt. With irony, you get to enjoy the results without any of that nasty guilt.

  5. That's too bad. I wish people thought about things like this more.

(Maybe you should email the MoA Game Stop?)

Well, did you check out the Lego Store?

    -CF

I did. Unfortunately, no Mahri. I was stunned to find that their Bionicle section is no longer the very first thing you see when you walk in. That's now Batman. In fact, Bionicle is further back in the store than Knight's Kingdom and ExoForce. It's like the last LEGO thing you see before you get into Duplo and the building area.

  6. I got the chance to play Guitar Hero yesterday!

Didn't do too well, most likley because of five buttons and four fingers.

No kidding! It's taken me a few weeks of about an hour a day (I really don't have anything else to do) to get used to having to slide the pinky down to hit the orange button. But after awhile you start getting used to it. Sorta like how you can eventually learn to type without looking at the keyboard.

  7. Meh, I'm lookin' for my third badge right now. XD I can't figure out which town I'm supposed to go to, so I went to the one with all the marshes. That right? :P

The third gym I is Maylene in Veilstone. Take the east exit out of Hearthome and head north through Solaceon Town. Take a right when you get to the path blocked by Psyducks and keep following that Route to et there.

  8. Your lucky I have to wait for the 21st.Anyway what team did you use to beat the elite four.

Empoleon, Torterra, Typhlosion, Staraptor, Luxray, Gengar. My starter was Piplup, with Turtwig and Cyndaquil coming from the GTS and a Trade respectively. The whole team was Lvl 50 when I started, but Staraptor, Torterra, and Typhlosion were all 52 by the time I was done (The rest didn't gain one level). Staraptor actually DID do that much work (I'd call him the MVP), while the other two benefitted from the x2 exp boost. I have a feeling the team will change considerably once I start prepping for PvP.

I believe that this was the only gen besides the original to include Lv. 60+ in the E4.

That would be correct. It's also the first time since R/B that the champion wasn't a type-theme.

Do you not wish that you could visit other regions after the game, like in Gold/Silver? *sigh*

I'm 100 hours into this game now and there's still a TON of things I've got left to do. Mostly involving Battle Tower, Pokedex, and numerous Legendary sidequests. I'll be here for a while..let alone going back to an old area.

  9. Usually the response to this is something like "It'll be alright" or "Well, that stinks." But it sounds like you're got a pretty positive outlook on what's going on, so that doesn't seem neccesary at this point.

All I can say then is "Good luck and may you find that person you're looking for."

  10. $90 for a PSU? What size supply you got in there?

I dunno. But my dad took in his old machine when it broke down and an identical power supply only a few months ago I believe was $40. And odds are if it's jsut the power supply I will just buy it for $40 and have somebody help me through it.

I've already got a few people offering to help me out. Not to mention a guy at work who's already offered his services to build a whole new machine.
