  1. That's actually what I was planning to do next. Either that, or Le-Koro Band. ^-^
  2. Depending on the complexity, I might end up doing that. I need to transcribe these by ear though, and other than this, I've never done that before. xD
  3. Neat, well thanks for the advice guys. I suppose I'll see some of you at Brickfair! ^-^
  4. Actually I'm taking a Megabus from Toronto. They only allow one piece of luggage no bigger than 62 inches overall, and one carry-on bag no bigger than a briefcase. Both of those are full, and neither are really big enough to hold the mask. ._.
  5. I'm actually kicking myself a bit now, since apparently I could have contacted the border information center basically anytime yesterday, but they're closed entirely on weekends, and I have to leave tomorrow evening. >-<
  6. So after years and years of making 8 bit remixes with premade midis, I finally took the plunge and transcribed something myself, by ear. I never really thought I was very good at this, so I'm actually kinda proud of the fact that it only took me a few hours from start to finish, even if it is relatively simplistic as my remixes go. (I did Through The Fire and Flames once. xD) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3wtcDU3A1M Hope you guys like it. Given how surprisingly easy it was, I may just end up doing more. If a few go well, I'll make another album for my Bandcamp! ^-^
  7. Alright, so a number of you may remember a few months ago when I posted about my custom forged life sized bronze Vahi. Well I'm planning to visit my boyfriend in the states this weekend, and we might be attending Brickfair (Virginia). As such, I would like to bring the Vahi with me, but I'm nervous that in crossing from Canada into the US, the border guards might give me trouble. I don't have room in my two allowed pieces of luggage to hold it, so I'd likely have to wear it as I usually do, like a pauldron: So I guess my question then is, do you think I'll be okay crossing the border with this, or would they try and say it is, or could be used as a weapon?
  8. This looks amazing! I'd actually really love to see this on Lewa G2 instead of his current totally-not Cyberman head. Good to see you back active on the forums too! ^-^
  9. Well considering the nature of the game, LEGO could always decide to push an update, but judging by the fact that the PC version removes the alt swap buttons entirely, I'm guessing they've just given up.
  10. Ah, don't forget that the Mask of Creation game has a combo model button on every Toa select screen (although most are greyed-out). It wouldn't impress fans if LEGO just removed some of those buttons later, so LEGO luckily seem to have committed to (eventually) revealing a combo model for each Toa. Actually, again, do it doesn't. Not unless LEGO decides to push an update anyways. However, judging by the fact that the PC version removes the alt swap buttons entirely, I'm guessing they've just given up.
  11. If they are planning to do more combo models, we have no insight into their design, as the game literally does not yet contain their files: http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/16704-onuas-alternate-form/?p=880643 So yeah, if I had to guess, I'd say my money is on Onua coming next since he's the only one left at this time.
  12. Well now that you've brought it up I do. Looks more like a half buried Fenrakk to me though.
  13. Perhaps the ice elemental from Lomn has come back for revenge, after all these years... Where did you guys see that? I assume they meant the half textured platform in my above post.
  14. Well I've been spending the evening sifting through the assets in Unity. I have good news, and bad. The good news is that Onua and Kopaka's alts are both in the PC version, (they appear to be using more Protector parts on their models than seem to render in game. >.>) I also found Tahu's alt, and though from what I can see, it is indeed the Club exclusive combiner, either my assets are very incomplete, or so is the model. That brings me to the BAD news. As far as the other three Toa are concerned, the game doesn't actually contain the alts at all. The models for the combiners are actually completely different assets within the game. Where the normal Toa just start with a folder tree labeled after their name, the combiners are categorized under (TOA NAME)_Exclusive, which simply do not exist for Lewa, Gali and Pohatu. I imagine at some point the game will be updated with those models, but for the moment, I think it's pretty safe to give up hope of unlocking them ourselves. Sorry to burst everyone's bubble, but for the most part, this mystery is now solved. EDIT: Screenshots. Again, pretty sure my asset bundles are somehow incomplete, but this is the best I have at the moment.
  15. Ohai! Thanks for the kind words! Good to hear from you again btw. I figured once it hit front page, it was only a matter of time until you stumbled on it.
  16. So a few years ago, I came up with a pretty solid method of adapting the Toa Nuva to move much like they do in Mask of Light, while retaining most or all of their original parts, and leaving very little out of place to the casual observer. Now I have begun to apply that same concept to the Mata. Due to their differing construction, Pohatu, Onua, Lewa, and Kopaka had to be adapted in more noticeable ways, and were a lot more difficult to do so. Any suggestions on how to better that would be appreciated. Also uh.. don't mind the yellow Hau. I still need to order my red one off Bricklink or something. xD
  17. Due to unfortunate back problems that I have been dealing with since about 2008, I don't build near as much as I used to. However lately, I have begun to streamline my creative process into things that I can use around the house or other places. Things that I otherwise would have to spend money on to purchase in a much less interesting, and less adaptable form. That being said, I present to you some of my recent creations. Microphone stand: http://i.imgur.com/X3t2u0H.jpg Double Wii sensor bar holder: http://i.imgur.com/yrYzHVI.jpg My current, but now outdated magnum opus; the DS3 to smartphone adapter: http://i.imgur.com/1jVds2U.jpg http://i.imgur.com/b43m6Jl.jpg And since I went out for a bit of an upgrade since that last build, the DS4 to smartphone adapter: http://i.imgur.com/tQmAoRZ.jpg http://i.imgur.com/ysdVCoq.jpg This unfortunately is all I have so far. Any creative criticism and further ideas for more such items would be greatly appreciated however! ^-^ Edit: Please link to images over 100 kB in BBC. -Wind-
  18. Heh, well I actually have been tempted to try out the plastic one as a windbreaker. It's a cold, cold winter up here, and I'll take what protection I can get. Besides, it gives me sort of a Winter Soldier look if worn correctly. xD MNOLG: CE is for the moment, shelved, yes, however we're still exploring possibilities for continuing the project in the future. We have already hired a new composer who, while also quite busy right now, is.. shall we say, very well known within the community. EDIT: Just noticed this has made front page news! Awesome! ^-^
  19. Prior to making this, he did actually make a really large pauldron for himself. I'll get you some pictures of that if he agrees. He doesn't have an account here unfortunately. Well yes, and no. The PLASTIC version can be worn, (as seen in my display picture prior to painting) and in fact was specifically modeled to fit my face based on a profile shot I sent 00dude00. The bronze one can also be worn, but because of how it was thickened from the inside for casting, it is significantly more difficult, (and less comfortable) to do so. Neither currently have any straps to hold them on, though the plastic one can be held in place with a good set of headphones or a tightened hood. The bronze one, due to its weight, I currently wear over my shoulder at nearly all times as sort of a pauldron. It's so heavy, and combined with my spinal issues sending my right shoulder out of whack, it actually just sits there with little to no adjustment. xD
  20. Like... cutscenes? There's no reason it wouldn't. Since this is more of a mod of the original game than it is an entirely new one, there's no reason there would not be. That being said, due to many unforeseen circumstances, myself and the rest of the team haven't really had time to work on this in some time. We have however hired a new composer, so a remastered/remixed soundtrack is seeming more likely than initially planned.
  21. I'd have to ask him about that one. The only reason this was so cheap is because the Vahi doesn't really have a lot of material. In fact, it probably has the least overall volume of any mask in the franchise. 00dude00 modeled another custom mask at the same time for another friend of mine, (QSKSw) and the Shapeways print alone on that would run me about $200. I unfortunately, do not have that kind of money, so unless your guy is willing to pay for it in full, it's probably not going to happen. xD
  22. The model commision cost me $20, the Shapeways print cost me $50, (+$15 for gold spraypaint) the second print, (used to make the mold for molten bronze) cost another $50, the bronze itself cost $50, and the various materials used in the forging process rounded out to I THINK about $120, but the mask maker was nice enough not to charge me for that.
  23. This was hand forged by a friend in Toronto who is currently taking a metalworks course in university. It's a one of a kind piece created from a 3D model commissioned from 00dude00, (former Bionicle Next Gen modeller) later produced into the Shapeways 3D print also pictured, which was then used as a base for this, which is entirely composed of approximately 4lbs of bronze. The entire process from one person to the next, took about two and a half years to reach completion. The full image gallery, including an infected version, created simultaneously as part of our arrangement, can be viewed below, including concept artwork from 00dude00, modelling progress, photos of the forging process, and information on the pictured scenes from the mask maker himself. https://www.facebook.com/Vahkiti/media_set?set=a.10205127286167494.1404564277&type=3 On a side note: I... THINK this is in the right forum? The description didn't really cover anything like this, but I don't think it belongs in Bionicle based creations so... yeah. Also of more personal interest, is that this was forged almost exactly as G2 animations began circulating. Fitting, considering how much LEGO seems to want us to remember it now. xD
  24. Well here are my long overdue submissions I guess. Sorry some of the images are a bit small, but I kinda screwed up with my camera when I took these. Main Entry Name: Karzahk, (And Zygon? Idk if I can do that even if they're both in one image) Karzahk: http://imgur.com/a/vFoXk Zygon: http://imgur.com/a/ohh2k Zivaka The Destroyer, (A Kaita merging of the first two): http://imgur.com/a/9LZYP And one extra for good measure.. Tahu Hordika: http://imgur.com/a/PfbVR
  25. Not really an agreement so much as an unspoken truce I guess. We changed the logos and everything and that seemed not to be an issue. Or at least the lawyers did not protest further.
