Welcome once again to my pick of the week. This week we have an original and creative MoC, what a genius idea. It is fun and the concept is just plain clever. My pick was simple this week, the winner is.....

    The Kadin Spinner by Sisen!

Congratulations Sisen, you have won my pick of the week. You will be added to the content block with the other picks. Once again great idea Sisen, your ideas are always clever and fun.

I was reading our local paper today when I came across this article. I met this gentleman a couple weeks ago and left him a link to my brickshelf gallery. His studio is only a few miles away from here! Apparently he accepts MoCs to be showcased in his studio, if they are good enough. He also buys lego sets. If anyone from the Puget Sound area has the time you should really stop by his studio, it is amazing! I am hopeful that he will accept some of my work to showcase in his studio. If so, then I will have pictures for proof of the accomplishment. That would be the peak of my MoCing career, to have some of my stuff showcased there.

One day I also hope to become a certified lego designer like him, he has my dream job!

After a brief hiatus, I have revived the pick of the week! Argetlam inspired me to get off my tush and do it professional like. So what will this weeks pick be? After browsing BBC I have made my pick.....

    Craniopod NOD by Arpy!

Congrats Arpy, your MoC has won my pick of the week. What an amazing head design and a cute/unique mecha. I do not think I have ever seen anything else like it. You will be added to the content block of previous picks, you have earned it!

It seems that there are a huge amount of questions that have still not been answered. The contest has been official for several days now. This kind of worries me, as some of the current entrants could be disqualified as the rules were not very clear this time, which I fear might lead to flaming and more woes for BZP. Now do not get me wrong here, Kex, Roa and Shannara are all great forum assistants. However they are quite elusive, and that is okay as I assume they are very busy people, and I know for a fact that Roa is always busy. With Tufi being given admin duties now, her role in BBC has been much less active.

So I ask this, do any of you think that the BBC forum is in need of another assistant? Myself, I have to say yes. I am not sure who is the best person to nominate for the job, but I do think that it is needed.

Kohaku, you have been chosen! I hope it is up to your standards. I had planned to have 2 swords but then the sonic arm cannon thing worked out better. And yes this is for the Member MoCist blog contest hosted by ~Blue Diamond~.

On top of all that I got another Hydraxon set, I have been eyeing the Exo Force Aero Booster set for awhile now, I got this crazy idea for those large gray and blue parts. Santa must have known I had a rough year! Ill be putting some of those Terrain Crawler parts to use right away for a certain blog contest entry....

For the Member MoCist blog contest hosted by Blue Diamond. Can you guess which member it will be?

Not really sure which direction to take this MoC. The Sword and legs might be revamped, torso will stay though.
  8. CzaR
I accquired another set! Oh yea there is a new MoC over there also. ---->

Hydraxon is actually a better set than I first thought. Lots of tools and tubing, a good looking kanohi, plus there are 4 ball joints in the set, I only thought there were 2 so that was a plesant surprise. Good to see the forums back online!

No, I did not forget. Today is Friday, which means it is once again time for some lucky MoC from BBC to be highlighted!

    This week my pick is.....

    Kopakalaka by Draxon!

Congrats Draxon, you and your MoC will be added to the pick of the week history content block. I enjoyed the simplistic and custom build of it. Simplistic only in shape, the actual inner works look pretty complex. Good luck in that contest too!

Scored some new stuff today. TRU was all sold out of Karzahni though! So I had to settle for the following, which worked out good since Barraki are currently buy one get one at TRU. Now I have all 6 Barraki!

    Happy Meal Kongu!

    Carapar/Pridak!

Heh, I just realized that Carapar is spelled Karapar on the instruction manual. Pridak also seems to have red eyes on his instruction manual?

For the upcoming contest hosted by Argetlam.

This is actually the second version of myself. The first can be found Here. The color scheme and size will be true to the original, this time though I have added a blunt shooter, since I always did want a projectile for a self MoC. The head might also be a cyclops but I am not sure yet. Articulation will be full, except for the waist, which the original did have.

Well it is Friday again, time to sift through the most recent MoCs of the last week and pick one for a bit of limelight. This weeks pick is.....

    Unown H by Synthesis!

Congrats, your MoC is a very well done representation of the actual Pokemon. I enjoyed the rear design of it and the use of the hip sockets for the shape. How did you come up with that rear design anyway?
  13. CzaR
Wow, obviously I cannot say much more about how it looks for now. I will say that it was a bit of a let down, there are not very many new parts on it. It has a few good spots but man, this is supposed to be Makuta! Super awesome bad guy extrodanaire! Reminds me more of Ultimate Dume than the real Makuta. I wonder what the price will be for the set. As of now, Toa Ignika is the set I want the most, that kanohi looks to be one of the best.

Allright, I have decided to make Lairon. It is most likely gonna be rushed, since it is freezing outside and I have to build out there (its a long story).

I might just scrap the hockey torso and go for a gunmetal custom torso, but time is running out and it is just plain cold outside! I have had sucess in making the armored spine, weaving the fenrakk heads together with the mahri tubing, but getting it to attach to the torso, while remaining slightly curved is getting tough. I would like to retain an overall smooth build, somehow.

So who has decorated and who has not? We have still got to get our lights and tree up, it has been pouring rain here the last 2 days so I have been discouraged. We usually leave our tree and lights until the new year, just to enjoy them for that much longer. We got a real tree this year which is no doubt going to be messy, the aroma is well worth it though. I love the smell of pine in the house, it always means Christmas is near.

What is your favorite type of decoration? The missletoe? The lights? The wreath? I have to say the tree is my favorite, it indulges more of the senses than other decor.

I decided to join the club and dedicate each Friday blog entry to highlight a MoC from Bionicle Based Creations. The only guideline being that the MoC has been made public within the same week, to keep things fresh. So without further ado, the first ever MoC to be put under the spotlight is......(Cue Fanfare)

    Lerahk by Distorted!

Lots of good stuff going on there, a well done tribute to Lerahk. Congrats Distorted, you are my first ever pick of the week. No special images or anything, just a nod from me and a little piece of history here.

So I am running out of time to enter Ballom's Contest. I need ideas for which pokemon to make? Ive been looking over countless sprites and other pokemon pictures, I just cannot decide. I tried Venusaur, then Gengar, both failed. Please help! Im no good at this pokemon stuff.

I thought about a Voltorb too, but I do not have a Nuju metru canister lid to go with the Vakama one.

Star Fox 64, it has become an obsession of mine again. I was rather proud of these, I have still got to unlock Expert mode by obtaining all the medals. Some are very hard to get.

Update, 1500+ baby! On Expert mode at that, the last pic there is the proof. That screen only appears when you beat the game on expert mode.

The voting has begun! It looks like I have landed in poll St. John's. I see Seranikai is also there, we have quite a rivalry don't we? *Remembers BBC 41*

If you deem my entry worthy I ask for your votes. Good luck to all of the BBC entrants! This was a great contest.

Quite an eventful day so far. Indy nearly lost another game and the Browns won in overtime after a crazy field goal that is sure to make highlights on ESPN and the evening news. It is looking like Dallas is going to squeak out another win, Pittsburgh too, GO PITT! Green Bay picked up another win and Seattle is ahead of Chicago. The Vikings won too so if things go well all 3 of my teams will have won!

Ill be watching the New England/Buffalo game closely. Pittsburgh is the only team that can beat the Pats if you ask me.

Ive been eyeing this set for a long time now, K-Mart had it on clearance for 30 bucks, a steal.

This should help me out on a few ideas I have had. Extended lime tentacles, orange mahri tubing, loads of good trans green stuff and I am sure I can find a good use for that air powered rocket launcher!
