  1. The build is coming along nicely, and I have finished the head, and started into the shoulders of the moc. I got to go to a radio station and do an interview about the brick museum, and Brickshow 2008 being held this weekend here in Ohio at the Toy and Plastic Brick Museum. There should be a good turnout. They are building a world record castle, and also hosting public building and coloring contests for the kids who attend. I should be able to get the front legs for the rahi built today, and end it in a long wormlike tail. I will post pictures upon my return to AK, as I cannot upload pictures with my current internet connection. I will take lots of pics and videos of the moving displays. Dan told me that he has a large scale Avak brick statue coming to the museum in a few weeks. I look forward to seeing the pictures! Several master builders have been invited to the museum to display their mocs, and I have been titled a master builder by the curator of the museum! I am happy that he sees my mocs as master work, and I'm looking forward to the public response. I have a feeling that kids will go nuts when they see my mocs on display in the space room. This museum is full of radical displays and would blow your mind! Well, I gotta go for now, I will post my day 3 entry later today.
  2. Dude, you and Kohaku could pass off as brothers! :o The resemblance is uncanny!

  3. I am being put up in a hotel for the duration of the week. It sounds like I will also be putting my brickfair mocs on display as well. I'll get to build a full on diorama for the mocs too. And if I get these rare prize goods, I would hope that I can give them away for contests I hope to be able to run. Future ones wont be at all like my first, as I didn't have internet access for that one..... :/ It was cool meeting you at Brickfair CF, and thanks again for those zamors. I want to use them in a moc.
  4. Hello all! Brickfair was fun, and I had a really good time for the most part. Now that the convention is over, my posse drove back to chicago, but we made a stop at the Ohio toy and plastic brick museum in Bellaire. They are hosting a public build at the end of the week, and I was asked if I could build a special model for the museum. My plane was due to leave today, but the curator of the museum was willing to pay for the cost to change my plane ticket. Soooo, I accepted. Getting the opportunity to build from the worlds largest privately owned Lego collection was too great to pass up. I am going to build a custom "non-TOTstoryline" version of a giant rahi with a Suvika rider. I started building around 3:00, and I am almost finished with the rahi's head. The absolute plethora of parts is absolutely mindboggling! I will take pictures during the course of the week, and I will be sure to post a video of the museums Lego robot rock band from FAO Schwarz. It is SO AWESOME that it's too awesome! I got to see the models up close, and yes, they are people sized robots! They house some really neat models, as well as a world record size mosaic. Tis rather awesome! This is going to be loads of fun, and I may be able to snag some really rare lego products and prototype stuff for use on BZPower as prize fodder. And when I say rare, I MEAN IT! This stuff doesn't exist anywhere else. I will keep you all posted!
  5. its a half love half hate moc. Too bad you couldn't properly finish it. Good luck! Oh, and I am more than willing to help you out at the convention getting this "rear end" thing figured out. Seems like this has happened on some other mocs of yours too.
  6. XD! Thats what I was told............ O.O I plan on making a family trip to the east coast sometime, maybe then

    Brick Badge

Heh, yours may be big, but mine is both big, and disturbing as it has reaaaaly old pre minifigure people on it burning some guy
  8. I'm getting ready to go on my Brickfair Adventure! I am about 90% packed, and am flying out tomorrow night! I even picked up some grippy foam for helping in the setup of large models on smooth tables. Things tend to slip, and the smoothness of the tables limits poseability. My mocs are built for outdoor use, and tend not to grip onto tables too well. The foam should help any models that need a little extra grip. I'm arriving in Chicago wednesday morning at a bright and early 5 am, and we are hitting the road from there. Were going to make a stop at the Toy and Plastic Brick museum, which houses the worlds largest privately owned lego collection! I am eager to see it! If I'm really lucky, I will have time to visit the Smithsonian Institution! I've never seen it before, and I am told that its now 9 buildings big of massive artifacts and displays! I must gooooo..... dinosaurs woot! Anywhoo, I am nervous about the whole thing. Especially the BBCC. I always make the drastic mistake of taking bad pictures of my entries, giving BZP a "not so good" view of my amazing moc. I know it got a lot of hype, but I am still nervous..... I guess that goes hand in hand with getting ready for a trip *_* Wish me luck!
  9. I'm the theme coordinator, not cajun... and I say please attend! the person you need to talk to about attending the full convention (not just the public part) is Wayne Hussey at the Brickcon website (google it). by doing this, you are showing him that you are mature enough to attend with a parent for the full convention. he is one of the organizers, and tell him that the bionicle lady from Alaska, Roa McToa sent you! I can walk you through the moc card part after you are registered.
  10. dang, did you fedex"next day air" it or something? That seems like a lot unless you packed it in some overly huge box.... edit: You included shipitback money too right? If not, I can help you out
  11. I know for a fact that Cajun will be there. Arpy said hes going to show up, and I know there will be others. I hope to see Kopakanui and his bro again with their awesome mocs! If Tufi can show up, I'd be thrilled! especially if Hahli Husky came again. BZPgalz all in one place! It will be awesomesauce! I'm the theme coordinator this year, and I have a fairly large table, 5x16 to be exact. If overflow space is needed, I am sure I can get it. If you wish to attend, you have my recommendation. Brickcon Site Send an email to Wayne and let him know that you would like to attend. Bionicle is geared toward a younger age group, and you seem to be mature judging on how you post. Hang with the BZ crowd and you wont be bored like that quote suggests! And if you need help with moc cards, catch me on my instant messenger,
  12. Letagi, if you are under the age of 18 you have to be accompanied by an adult to attend Brickcon for the entire convention. I look forward to seeing you at Brickcon! Bring some cool mocs, and be sure to register at www.brickcon.com Fill out your moc cards. I have a big table to fill, so don't be afraid to bring some really cool stuff! and Bunda, I figured my luggage will cost me a grand total of $60 all trips. So dont feel bad about spending $15-$20 for shipping a moc all the way from Hawaii. I'm looking forward to seeing your completed entry!
  13. I am soooo busy getting my display ready for Brickfair. I have until sunday night to get everything done and packed up. I will have to get my entry done, as I will have minimal pieces in anchorage to use. All my mocs need teeny tweaks before I pack them up, and I am going to cram as many mocs as I can into these tubs. All the big ones for sure.... Some assembly required....... I'm going to work in the violin shop for a week before the fest, so I will have some time to relax beforehand. It'll be cool.... I am flying into Chicago on the 26th, and am meeting up with my friends who are housing me for the fest. Were going to start driving to Brickfair from the airport. I've never seen that side of the country, so it should be pretty cool! I'm really looking forward to it. Maybe I can get my family to drive up from Allentown to attend the public expo! Either way, I must get back to bustin it!
  14. One thing that many bipedal mocs have in common is hip dysplasia..... XD usually the hips aren't strong enough. Be sure that it is well supported, because if the moc is heavy (which a good lot of titans are) it will fall over easily. Find a way to use pistons in the leg joints, but hide them, or simply use more than one socket in the joints. Try to go for rubberized ones, or the new style from this years sets instead of the old style. Just try things. You'll be suprised at what you can come up with when you mess around with parts.
  15. Hey Kopakanui. I saw you commented on my profile, so I am commenting on yours. I hope to see you and your bro at Brcikcon this year with some awesome mocs! Be sure to bring plenty, as I will have plenty myself, and there will be great new ones. See you there Bioni-bro!

  16. You may have gotten the trophy DV, but in my opinion, I won.... Mwahahhaaaaa
  17. Well, looks like we had a fun duel DV. I would consider us tied for this one if ya don't make anything, although, I would like to see what you can build with 20 pieces not including connectors..... GBG, I think you should make your duels only one round, and if there is a tie, then use a sudden death match. When you have to build several mocs in short periods of time, it kindof burns one out. Give them an extra day to build, and only one dueling round. THAT would make an awesome "mocists duels" contest. More time, better mocs!
  18. Ties happen, then SUDDEN DEATH MATCH! Bwahahaaaahaaaaa!
  19. But then would that not defeat the purpose of having a duel? and GBG, I think there shall be no vote bonuses, like DV said. Votes are counted as one, as always.
  20. Well, whatever it was that I got, I kicked it! I'm feeling great now, but the ankle still hurts..... That my take months to heal.... Oh well, all I can do is work it.
  21. Fine then Nwhokeepschanginghisname..... Here is Kopakas exposed chest, and him not holding his big gun.... Kopakas front view full Front detail view Tee hee!
  22. Another question, if I were to remake Kopaka, would the eye laser have to be red like the original, or can that be changed?
  23. Toa only, or do we have to make their respective matoran too?
  24. Arg, I feel like I am coming down with something really bad. My throat hurts so bad its hard to eat and drink. I hope that it won't inhibit my ability to work and interact with customers. Healing from a sprained ankle two weeks ago, and then this..... Yeargh. I hope it goes away, cause pain is a pain......
  25. there are NO SOCKETS on my moc, so please stop saying I cheated by using sockets. There are some pieces that fit a ball, like throwbot heads. (thanks for noticing that Arpy aka P.P.S.G.) Its safe to say, that dv may just have this round. Onto round 3!
