  1. Yes, they have their own version of the zamor launcher. The zamor launcher is far better, as I have had the "hyraxx energy spheres" fall apart after shooting them at a hard surface, letting out the styrofoam beads. Although, the weapons that the templars have is really a cool concept. Its a bolo launcher. The projectile looks like a strap with a ball on either end. It slips into the front of the launcher, and stretches back to the flipper in the back, and when you articulate the flipper and release it, the ammunition flies out and spins through the air as it goes forward. Pretty spiffy projectile.
  2. I used to breed guppies, so I know all about this. Platy's are cool, but I got out of raising live-bearers because the tank gets full pretty quick if you don't have a predator in the tank to clear out the weak. Bettas are good for this, and females are a little less aggressive than the males, so they are more likely to to go after the babies rather than the adults. Now I have an expensive male betta with a half moon tail, large tetras, two plecos (ones a bristlenose), 2 albino red fin sharks and a myriad of loaches. Loaches are so awesome, they have cute little personalities! Don't name the babies, as many of em won't make it. Wait till they are a little older, and if possible, you may want to separate the males and females later on so you don't end up with a bunch of inbred fishies with bent spines and ugliness.
  3. Huh. In my opinion, this is because MB is trying to be better than Lego. Which IMO is not possible. But of course I'm extremely anti-MB . So is Arpy, if you hadn't noticed. - Mega Blocks takes pride in their products, just like Lego does. A company that gives bad service obviously doesn't take pride in their product. Mega Blocks isn't trying to be better than Lego, they are simply out there to supply a building toy thats a little more affordable. And I say, Mega Blocks are better than Best-Lock..........

    Sick

When I am feeling like this, I take colloidal silver hydrosol (available in your local health food store) as a supplement along side with my cold medicine. The suffocates virus cells and helps you heal faster. It's also great for helping an infected cut heal faster too.

  10. I have em all now, and two of the new ones I got had mistakes. One set was missing the light up head, but came with 2 neo's, and the other had the wrong head. They are replacing the parts, and I also told them about some sets I had gotten that were faulty from new. Their joints were all loose, and they are going to replace them! I'll have a blog entry detailing every Neo shifters set so anyone who is curious can see if they are worth buying. Mega Blocks customer service is as good as Lego, but I find it more personable, as you are talking to an actual person over email or phone rather than just filling out a form for parts replacement. Either way, I love Bionicle, and I love Neo shifters too. And seeing that Neo shifters are on the cheaper spectrum, I can afford to buy both. I cannot WAIT to get my 2009 Bionicle sets.

    Nostalgia

OMG! I think I have every one of these, and some of the other big sets, like the giant bug! Granted, they are all strewn about my lego bins, but there none the less.
  12. Is Jarjar valuable or something? I have like, 8 of him....... Cool set though, I like how they replicated the propulsion system, very accurate.
  13. ZOMG! My brother and sis'n law are coming up here from Oregon this Thursday with their son Eli! I am SO HAPPY! I haven't gotten to see my nephew in so long! None of our family up here in AK has gotten to see Eli, so everyone is ecstatic! They were going to come up for thanksgiving, but couldn't make it, so everyone was bummed. But now, its like... BOOYAH! I can't wait! *jumps around with glee* :smeag: :br:

    Manas Power!

I see yumyums in there! What is that blue thing in the parts bag you see by the two brown rahkshi backs? It looks like some tube assembly? Is it Lego?
  16. Drew Carey doesn't have the Price is Right Pizzazz that Bob Barker had, but hopefully he will be less boring as time goes on.
  17. Sore from dodgeball eh? That a minortee, as getting shook up and tossed around in the cab of a front end loader will make you LOTS more sore LOL Operating equipment is fuuuun I can't throw well either.......
  18. May thanksgiving go super schwell for y'all KIE. I am going to my friends place down the highway, cause my bro and sis'nlaw couldn't come up with my lil nephew. They were gonna stay for over a week, but Evan had to take the Ecuador contract to secure his job (the are laying people off). So he is off fighting fires in Ecuador till after x-mas May the tryptophane make ye sleep well!

    Old Ghosts

I definitely haveto agree with you there. All of these boats are wood hull ships. They were in service before the 64 quake. It's interesting to see whats out there, as there are quake pics out there, and one is of a boat called the Celtic thats been beached by the tsunami wave, and I was told that it is still in service to this day. This location is less than a ten minute walk from my house..... Now theres a harbor there......

    Old Ghosts

Yeah, dusk really stinks for pics. Although, it does capture a rather ghostly appeal. I plan on making a detailed entry about the boat yard and all the old ships there, with good crisp daylight pics taken on a tripod. Just waiting for that bluebird day that happens to be on a day off....... There's even WW2 trooper ships, yanno the kind that can go up to a beach and drop off troops and tanks jeeps etc. Very cool stuff. Lots of old fishers and crabbers, as well as sailers and more modern boats that are there for work. The boats pictured here will probably never be seaworthy unless some rich dude comes along and decides to restore. Its really a cool place to visit, and is just a short drive across the bay from my home.

    Old Ghosts

I drove across the bay to check out the Drydock the other day. I was checking up on a boat that I was helping paint (I will take pics of it in the day to show you all) Anyway, there are a good lot of derelict ships that were sent to drydock after the 1964 earthquake. I took pics of a few of them at dusk. Pics are clickable to make em bigger. Enjoy!

    I'm Depressed...

*O_O* Thats awful! I had a math teacher basically call me stupid right to my face in high school...... talk about a mindbender there........ You are getting a new teacher who is probably a lot cooler than that one. Whoopeee!
  23. They use good plastic on these sets. You can use them for bowling games when they are rolled up too. They hold up well to being dropped, and to moderately rough play. You can build mocs with this stuff, but anything that you can build is more or less on the lame side. They are more meant to be stand alone figures. The Split Shifter set shows some of what you can do with these, as the set is two shifters with some extra parts that can be formed into a two pilot vehicle with another robot. I'll have to take pics of it built in both versions with the moc I made out of the spare parts. Tradakk, I think the set you are talking about is Scar & Dorn. The shifter is grey and green, and was one of the first ones released.
  24. Ya! The video on their website is really cool, and shows that the Neo Shifter universe is way different than the bionicle universe. The lore, the land and the purpose is totally different than bionicle. The figures are said to be "bionicle-esque", but do not share the same style of connection system. Where bionicle is based on ball sockets, neo shifters have a peg to socket setup for all the limbs. All neo shifters can fly in their story, and they can go into outer space too. I don't think there are any special powers behind their masks. I think that the mask is their face. and bunda, wait till I get the others. I saw pictures of the web shifters, and they look way too awesome! But don't get me wrong, Bionicle owns this toyline as far great sets with quality, as well as being able to build anything you want!
  25. I have so much Lego CF, that it doesn't really matter to spend some on a few cool action figure robots. I really need to sort out my mass hoarde of Lego before I buy anymore, plus they only come out with one batch of these per year, unlike Bionicle sets which have two big releases in a year. I am a toy lover, and just because it aint lego doesn't mean it isn't allowed. I think there is an official Neo Shifters topic in COT too....
