  1. Every time I see my username next to the "last post by:" thing, I keep thinking it's someone else.
  2. I can't believe it. Colts winning in the first half, then Saints getting a comeback, it's like something from a movie.
  3. I do, but since I'm the only one you might not like getting the same kind of input again and again. Sure, why not?
  4. With Spink's permission, I have changed my username as a tribute to the one who dominated the broadcast.
  5. Really? Sweet. The only one I know of was when he was about to be frozen in Carbonite, Leia says "I love you", and he (Han) says "I know". What are the others?
  6. Harrison Ford doesn't show up in the news often, but when he does he always reminds me why he's so cool. If there is a fifth movie, I don't think I would mind how bad the script turns out as long as Ford is there to rescue the movie.
  7. That's a good idea, I find it's usually more fun to watch a bunch of episodes at once. I just don't have the self-control to wait a few weeks (xP) or the activities to keep me that busy. And sweet. I personally don't think the commissions are that complicated, it's pretty easy to understand. I'm fine with the layout. Question though, what do you mean by bust? As in head and top of chest and shoulders?
  8. Same! Especially the first three beats. IMO all the FMA Brotherhood intros are good, in music or animation or both. It's also nice that it's following the manga so faithfully...did you see the newest one (43)? =D [/fanboy] I never saw your first commission thing, so I can't provide an opinion (thanks for telling me about it in that last entry, btw, otherwise I'd have spent hours searching fruitlessly for it...how do you have 70 pages of blog entries!? I hardly see you in the SS forum!) Speaking of which, the poem. Is it your work or are you quoting it? If it's the former, I love it. Props.
  9. =O You're my hero(ine)! The shading on Gali's face (and everywhere else)...masterful. Shading hates me, I can never get it right...=\ Love Lewa's hand, it's so cool...Tahu's jacket...Kopaka's scarf thing, and his hair! Good work with the hair! I've never imagined human Kopaka with dark hair before, so thanks for introducing me to a different portrayal. My favorite part is definitely the expressions...loving it.
  10. Part of an "interview" by TIME with Harrison Ford from last Monday. Yeah, Shia, get your own hat!
  11. FYL bud. Sucks. =[ In the future, if you're allowed to, pick a partner and make sure you trust that person to be...well, trustworthy.
  12. Spink, AZ, that's fine, this isn't an obligation. Just feel free to pop in whenever you do find the time.
  13. Yep. IMO it would be harder to write a monologue into a poem without the poem itself becoming the monologue, but if you pull that off then massive props.
  14. Good for you. And since you haven't been assigned one yet...that means I can still bombard you with reports!
  15. Yes, you get points for reviewing any story that's been submitted for the Story Fit, since all advice/constructive criticism is helpful no matter when it's given.
  16. Yes, that counts, since it's still the same person talking the whole time. Yep, written words, thoughts, all of those count.
  17. 2/3/10 Story Fit Exercise For an explanation of what the Story Fit is, please go here. Each week I'll post an exercise. This is the entry for the exercise of the week of February 3 - February 9. Since we're into our third week, let's go for something different from our past two one-word prompts. When attempting to reveal a character's beliefs, writers often fall back on using a monologue: a prolonged talk or discourse by a single speaker. Many criticize monologues however, citing its length when compared to the rest of the story, arguing that because of that length monologues can end up dull or boring, disrupting the pace or monopolizing the dialogue, and in some cases even backfiring -- restricting the monologue's character and the directions the character can go. Regardless of your personal opinions, I feel like the monologue needs to be be defended -- so let's show these nonbelievers that an interesting monologue can be written! Your exercise this week is to incorporate a monologue into your story but at the same time make it interesting. I will be using different scoring criteria this week, judging your story not on its quality but on the effectiveness with which you defend or support the monologue. Be careful not to make the same mistakes as most monologue writers! There is no word limit or any other constraints -- the only requirement is that the story contain this theme. Once you write your story, post here with a link to it. Extra points will also be awarded to those members who review other Story Fit members' stories. This will not only give you practice with writing but also reviewing, as well as promote an exchange of ideas and styles within the BZP Writers Community. Happy writing! Note: As of now, there is no deadline by which you must turn in your story. This is an issue that is currently being discussed: see bottommost section and respond with your opinion. --- Each week we vote for the Writer of the Week, based on the popularity of the stories submitted during that week. Whoever gets the most votes wins the award. Without further ado, I present this week's Writer of the Week: Rassiter, for his Transformation-themed story Winds of Change! Below is a list of stories that have been submitted within the past week. Look over them, read through them if you want, then vote for your favorite story (send a PM with your vote to me). At the end of this week, I will count up the votes and give the Writer of the Week [of 1/27/10 - 2/3/10] award to the writer who gets the most votes. Last Week's Stories 1) Reunion by Akai Hana no Tenshi 2) Alternate Perspective by Grant-Sud 3) A Murder Of One by Rising Moon Vote away! --- Maybe not a deadline, but rather a two week period between tasks instead of one week? Not sure how others feel about this, or if they feel the same, but I know that I'll need at least that for a while as at the moment I'll only be able to write two days a week [possibly five days, but three of those would be for a very minimal amount of time, and probably won't be of good quality unless I'm feeling very inspired]. But I don't want that to influence other people's opinions. I want to honestly know if you'd rather have it one or two task a week. ~ Velox So far we still only have one vote (Rising Moon) for one task a week. Please put forth your opinion so we know what changes need to be made, if any.
  18. My post in the RPG topic nine minutes after your comment. EDIT: Also, raincheck: I am getting the Story Fit of the week of Feb. 3rd ready at this very moment, and will post it at midnight tonight, regardless of whether or not I finish awarding points to members' efforts this week (not for lack of trying). I will also put up the results for our first Writer of the Week soon.
  19. Upon reading through the Should Kinetics Be A Toa Element? poll, I saw fifteen pages worth of members' opinions on the subject. Many of them were strong, most of them were clear-cut, and some of them took up ten pages when pasted into Microsoft Word. Almost all of them provided a new opinion on the topic, looking at it from different angles. I saw dozens of opinions I had previously never thought of or even considered before. This is the first time during my four years at BZPower that I've been so humbled and honored. Humbled to be only one in hundreds of thousands, but honored at the same time -- honored to be part of the force of nature that is BZPower. I believe that if we set our minds to a different task, put our heads together, collaborated and contributed our skills and talents, we could make a difference in the world. It's not often that you can say you're part of a group that can legitimately achieve this. Thank you, BZPower. Thank you, fellow members. You are awesome in every sense of the word.
  20. I like the bracketed OGD around the topic title, but I prefer [OGD] as opposed to {OGD}. The first is more like BAM BAM BAM instead of the second, which is like WOOOEEEOOOCURVY.
  21. I'm taking my time. I'll get to it tomorrow ^^;

  22. I am proud to be the first to sign the petition to get EW's voice off the radio. You know this is all just part of his plot to hypnotize us over the airwaves into becoming his mindless minions.
  23. You only have to look as far as the first RPG Fit entry for an answer to your questions. A more detailed explanation can be found in the RPG Forum Rules topic.
  24. You're not fooling no one. You know you like us more than Mass Effect 2.
