  1. The stub fin houses the shield-emitter for the shuttles main-body to boost the main-shield generated by the long wings and a heat-emitter to keep the temperature of the shield generators down.

The Lambda-shuttle from the OT was of course more advanced, so it had a bigger shield or something in that big wing.

You're right about the V-wing but the resemblance is there already, like the cockpit of the JSF as well as the cheaper-by-the-dozen approach with the V-Wing and it's stubby unfolded wing profile.

As for it's sound I've got a real-life example. Porsche and VW both have an SUV in their list of cars. The Porsche Cayenne and the VW Touareg. They look pretty much different, but as it turns out, the chassis is pretty much identical.

The fact remains though, PT still seems half-baked. I guess that is what happens if you're the biggest boss and nobody speaks against if something seems a bit fishy.

Such as Leia remembering her mother and Han who's never heard of Jedi despite being such a well-ventured man.

  2. What comic is this?

"So you're a Cartoonist?" by Andrew Dobson. Though his artist' name is Tom Preston. You can look it up online, he's got his own webpage. No linkage though, since it allows commenting.

It's quite awesome and I really like his humor and viewpoints.

  3. Aqua-Shark :3 Oh he was such a great Set! Great Now I wanna rebuild him, all because of you Jason XD

The sub looks really great. The retro-look is seriously awesome.

I think I may have an idea for the nose though. You say it's too bulky and like this it does look that way, but maybe if you elongated it, something like this, except on the bottom instead of the top?

If that's not what you are looking for it might be good to lower the cabin with the orange screen by one brick and add some slopes on top. From a designers point of view it's prolly best if you align the head with the tail so they'll line up with the centre-line of the sub.

  4. Agreeing with most of what you said except for one thing: The design of the Spacecraft.

While it may look "dumbed down" the more correct term would "reverse engineering". Since you already mentioned the EU: Fighters like the ARC170 from RotS are ancestors of the T65 X-Wing we all know and love. They're even built by the same company, before the went rogue and joined the Alliance.

Same goes for a lot of the other vehicles, like the AT-TE and also the Venator destroyers. Even the V-Wings appearing have the old TIE-fighter engine sound.

Back to writing though, I found that the stories they came up with for the 3d-animated series were quite enjoyable and they brought back a lot of the original humor from OT.

  5. That's cool, but you see, I have a fantastic team:

First, there's me, a certified Jedi Master who is just as great at leading as he is at making very obscure decisions. Codename: the Man.

Second, The Scarlet Witch is the Warper. Fear her powers to create mazes from thin air. She develops the layouts and is also really bad posterior.

Next, I have Robert Muldoon, the Warden. Not from the movie, from the book. Yeah, that's right, the pro dino hunter who shoots velociraptors to paste and tranqs T-rexes from a jeep. He can deal with your dinos.

Enter Jules Winnfield, the, uh, the BEEEEP. 'Nuff said. He also has a ULTIMATE MEGA AWESOME BLAST MODE that turns Jules Winnfield to MACE WINDU, THE BIGGER BEEEEP. Again, 'nuff said.

Axe Cop is the Cop. He can and will destroy anything, from aliens to robots to assassins to toa. And if Muldoon fails at tranquilizing the rex, Axe Cop will tame it like a ewe.

Also, I have Bruce Wayne as the Batman. Not from the comics or anything lame like that, I mean Christopher Nolan's Bruce Wayne. (Butler sidekick included, as the Philosopher.) He's along for the ride exclusively to kill the mutant teen pop icons and save Gotham City from their tyranny.

And finally, Conan the Barbarian as the Brute. Because every dream team has to have one.

So bring it on, Veef. Bring it on. We'll see who's dancing in Limbo tonight and tomorrow night and the night after that soon enough.

    ~EW~

You've only got 10 people? You musn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling. I'm talking hordes of demons. So yeah, I'll bring it and I'll take it home too! XD

On an unrelated note note, why would you bother to enter my mind, we're kinda on the same team here, y'know.

  6. Ack, how long did it take you to put all the links together oO

Oh but the sets you list in the 90's bring back so many good memories ^^

And one thing more: Steven Spielberg Movie Maker set rocked. SO HARD! Too bad the software won't work on newer systems...it would still be installed otherwise.

  7. Hazmat: Quad Erad Demonstrandum

EW. Your signoff stands out and also is instant-recognizeable.

I use something similar, though without squiggly hyphens (what do you call them again?).

I mention them because those really give it that extra bit of coolness.

  8. They're not bad mannered, they're just playing a never ending game of "chicken" walking down towards each other in hallways, trying to see who moves out of the others way first.

Elbows out, brows furrowed, and give them the "move or be moved" look. Problem solved ^^
