  1. Social experiment gone wrong gone BIONICLE
  2. Hey man I just wanted you to know I loved the little story you have up there, maybe you should take a stab at creative writing!
  3. Looks like the photos are just stills from the Turaga Files video uploaded by Christian Faber Edit: Found the vid (0:21)
  4. ABS (the material that most LEGO parts are made of) is milky white in nature so that's why the prototype looks like that before any color was applied and it probly has no connection to the story. That's still an interesting thought though. What would the Makuta need Tridax pods for in the Meldong Universe? To drop presents on Naming Day?
  5. The Rahkshi rock music video was foreshadowing for Makuta's 2 times defeat by rock - first it's Mangaia's gate, second by space rock
  6. Seeing as Greg described the consciousness of MU life as "programming", I don't think it's that strange a thing as it's not unlike transferring your old, defunct phone's data to a new one The curious thing to me has always been how Vakama revived Takanuva from the mask with the Three Virtures ritual thing. If he could do that, why did he not revive Jaller himself...
  7. I believe Tuyet actually wears the mask of intangibility, which does one half of what density control does. It can make her intangible, but cannot increase her density to become impervious to damage. I believe the Kraata's version of Density Control also allows the user to control the density of other objects within touch (hence that scence in BA3), but that is nitpicking at this point What scene in BA3 are you referring to? IIRC, the Rahkshi of Density Control was able to modify its own density to float and phase through things. Helyrx actually wears a Mask of Psychometry, which has a similar if not identitical ability.I would have loved to see the rest of Makuta's powers made into Mask Powers. We already have Accuracy and Hunger (and the elemental ones), but masks like Density Control or Limited Vulnerability would be cool. Actually, the Mask of Hunger doesn't have exactly the same power as the Rahkshi of Hunger. The Kanohi Avsa drains inner light, creating a being of shadow if the drain is complete, while Vorahk's power is to feed off of an opponent's physical strength. If there were a mask power based on Vorahk's power, it would probably be called a Mask of Absorption to avoid confusion. Unless of course a Mask of Confusion was being used, in which case confusion would not be avoided.Yeah I thought the Rahkshi phased the wall with the Toa Metru at some point, but apparently not... And yeah, the Masks probably doesn't have to do the exact same thing as the Rahkshi power does. The Avsa can drain energy as well, so it has extensions to the power of hunger. It's just like how Mask of Illusion creates optical illusions while Rahkshi of Illusion creates mental illusions... but also the Mahiki user can shapeshift just like a Rahkshi shapeshifts? Oh gosh, maybe Greg wrote all these powers with a Mask of Confusion after all...

  9. I love this! Gives off a steampunk vibe to me, especially with the face and the top hat.

  11. This just keeps getting better. I hope Makuta gets to rematch Takanuva in Kohlii now that he is on the righteous side
  12. But the Kanoka Matoran were jealous because of the Toa Metru because they were more successful, not because of their masks. And if they got these great masks for achieving certain things, then surely they would know more about those masks? This seems backwards, because the Toa Metru were more-or-less regular Matoran. Vakama was the only one who spoke to Dume, and that was because he was a mask maker - a job that doesn't appear to have a very high social standing. Despite being probably the best mask maker in Metru Nui (hence Dume asking him to make the Mask of Time), the other Toa Metru look down upon Vakama for being a lowly mask maker. So why would a lowly mask maker have a Great Huna, *and* not know the power of a Great Huna? It seems more likely to me, that the twelve masks we see on Mata Nui were most likely the regular masks made on Metru Nui. I imagine that Vakama would know what those mask powers were, or at least the Great ones. I imagine Vakama received his Great Huna as a gift of sorts, perhaps a trade from a land to the South many years ago, and took it because it was an interesting mask that was unlike the ones he made. But he never got the chance to learn what power it had, and when the traders left and Metru Nui was sealed off from the lands to the South, he could never find out. Similar tales of the other Toa Metru receiving masks from another land or as a gift, that Vakama didn't make or know how to make, would make sense. It's still a little suspicious that everyone else on Mata Nui seems to have a different mask, but I can't explain that away. Well I was trying to say that the Toa Metru were given special masks due to their success in their field, so that other Matoran can recognize it. Those Matoran would be *extra* jealous because of their special treatmemt. Sorry if I worded it poorly I think it is likely that he knows Huna is a Mask of Concealment, but he simply never saw it in action to know the full extent of its power. It's one thing to have knowledge on a subject and another to personally experience it. You could know all about the Higgs Boson particle but still be in awe of a particle accelerator in operation.
  13. Out comes my BZPower display name In goes the Star Wars CCBS series...
  14. I've always imagined that in Metru Nui the shapes of Matoran Kanohi are a symbolism of their status/occupation (e.g. Vakama was granted a Great Huna for recognition of his outstanding Mask-Making abilities, Nuju was given a Great Matatu for the scope attachment to better serve his Scholar duties. Same goes to the other Toa Metru for various reasons.), while the 12 types of mask are for the common people like Ehyre. That would also explain why the Great Kanoka Matoran were so envious of the Toa of their respective Metru. As to why Vakama was surprised by their mask powers, I think it has more to do with that he has never seen the Kanohi in action than that he doesn't know their powers. Lihkan/Jaller's Noble Hau might be altered by Vakama off-screen to honor Toa Lihkan, or because stylized Kanohi reverts back to their original shape when worn by others. As for Matoran in Voya Nui, since they came from Karzahni and their original masks were replaced, I guess they just wear whatever was given to them lol. Perhaps those masks were Karzahni's failed attempts of re-creating the Mask of Creation, who knows?
  15. Well, weathering and erosion are kinda accounted for by disintegration. Kamen even refers to disintegration as the weathering of their statues in MNOG 2. Yeah I was just trying to make them slightly more pertinent to the respective element Nice catch though.
  16. Would be funny if they just used the antitheses of the elements. They already have Heat/Cold Resistance and Vacuum for Fire/Ice/Air, they would only need Desiccation, Weathering, and Erosion for Water/Stone/Earth
  17. AFOL who spends too much on LEGO

  18. "Bet you never noticed that I was the last female character to be included in small sets. Psst." Berix
  19. I've always imagined that there're air pockets within the chutes (would also tie into the invention of Air Launchers in Mahri Nui, which was originally meant to be a means of transportation). Also explains why Chute Stations exist because Matoran can safely enter the chute through an air bubble. As a sidenote, the way I see chutes is kinda like drinking soda through a straw
  20. "Underground sucks. I'd rather stay treetops like Lewa!" Lewa
  21. My squid launchers are functional Kalmah's squids
