  1. IC - Decaia - Le-Koro: "Wha-!? AGH!" Decaia had only a split moment to react to the Gukko's attack, which he used to raise an arm to partially block the hit. It succeeded in knocking him back, closer to the edge of the platform, though it didn't knock him to his feet. Luckily, Snelly's gust of wind had also thrown off Zealokan's concentration (or at least taken it off of Decaia, freeing him of the kinetic influence.) The Toa of Water frowned, regaining his balance and glaring at the other Toa. "Looks like I underestimated your intelligence." He glanced around, a slight smirk creeping onto his face as he took another step back, glancing over the edge of the platform before looking at them again. "Which means that I might actually be in danger now..." Without warning he leaped backwards, off of the structure he was standing on. Wind whistled past his ears as he twisted his body, keeping a close eye on what he was aiming for. A nearby Matoran screamed as the Toa of Water grabbed hold of the rope bridge that he was walking across, roughly stopping Decaia's descent. Now at a more reasonable distance to the jungle floor, he swung forward, dropping to the ground and once again rolling onto his feet. Taking a moment to recover, he ran, heading into the jungle. OOC: Chase time? I guess that depends on who wants to go continuing bothering with Decaia.
  2. IC - Decaia - Le-Koro: Decaia took hold of the water block again. "Me? Your people are the ones who attacked me to begin with, back when I first broke into the freakin' hut! If you wanted to avoid a problem, that Toa of Air should have left me to my own business."
  3. IC - Decaia - Le-Koro: The Toa of Water glanced at Snelly. "Better make a decision quickly," he warned. "That mask may stop the water from hurting him, but it won't break his fall once I knock him loose." He was answered by Zealokan running over to help Snelly. Seeing this as a chance to escape, Sloth began to turn and walk away -- only to find himself slowing down. "What!?" He looked at his legs, then back at the two Toa, noticing Zealokan's outstretched hand. Decaia growled. "Oh no you don't -- you're not the only one who can play with movement." Focusing on the Toa of Kinetics with his mask, he began to instill a feeling of apathy into his target, as well as using the mask to slow Zealokan's own movements. At the same time, he let go of the block of water. OOC: Ninja'd. XP
  4. Hiya, Silvan. Welcome to the RPG! At the moment, there are a number of plots going on that are... relatively exclusive. However, as a way to just ease into the game, you could try having your character go to the arena to watch the match -- I can whip up a couple of NPCs for you to chat with, and I think there are a couple of someone's Matoran characters are already there that might interact with you. But yeah. Again, welcome to the game.
  5. We're playing things differently this time around. Needless to say it should be more interesting for everyone than the last incarnation was. Though that does beg the question -- when exactly are we expecting to get the group rolling, anyway?
  6. OOC: Don't worry about it; like I said, it's fine, just remember to consider those details in the future. IC - Decaia - Le-Koro: Decaia smiled upon seeing that Snelly had been temporarily dispatched. He stopped the jet of water, using it to create a large block of water above the dangling Toa. "This is how this is going to work," he told the others, a dangerous glint in his eyes as he stared them down. "I'm going to leave now. You attempt to stop me, this water falls like a brick and smashes poor Snelly into the jungle floor. You will not try to follow me, you will not try to stop me from leaving this Wahi. If I detect anyone following after me as I'm leaving, I'll start this all over again -- I don't mind stomping any senseless do-gooders into the ground for getting in my way." He took a few steps back to demonstrate his point, hiding the strain that was being put on his body by doing this. With any luck, they would opt to save their friend instead of chasing after him.
  7. OOC: No one in the warehouse at all. :3 IC - Lyxek - Ring HQ: Lyxek strode down the halls of the Ring base, strumming his guitar as he walked. His eyes stared straight forward, reflecting a deep level of thought. The loudspeakers clicked on, causing him to miss a string."Ringmaster, we have a problem!" a male voice called. Lyxek raised an eyebrow, looking up at the ceiling. "Hurry to the Throne Room!" A problem? Lyxek thought. As if. Whatever; I suppose I'd better see what this is about...
  8. OOC: Will edit this with OOC answers to OOC questions, if there are any I need to answer, in a little bit. Quick question to Konuju, though: Where's the prison your group is in? Cause I have an interesting mission crossover idea if you're in Lilycove. IC - Ethan - Lilycove: "Hello to you, too," Ethan said as Karin and Eric both arrived. "Right; thanks for reminding me. Archie is still in the Lilycove prison after his attempts to take over the region around 20 years ago; to my understanding Maxie was released on bail a few years back and isn't a problem anymore. So, since we're investigating Team Aqua's return, we should go and see Archie himself -- he might know something about it. Anyone know where the jail is?"
  9. OOC: iBrow: They won't detect anything, at least for now. There aren't any enemies there at the moment. IC - Crest: Once again, there was no response from Zanth or Suya. Wherever they were, it appeared that transmission signals could not reach them.
  10. OOC: Back. Sorry for the wait; school kept me busy. One thing I have to ask about, though... This post confuses me for a couple of reasons. The biggest one is that there is absolutely no reason for Snelly to have just assumed -- correctly -- that the only thing Sloth took were widgets. That seems like a bit of metagaming there. The other thing is just a continuity error -- the only version of Sloth's story that anyone but Rivera and Jeni heard was the condensed version that Jeni told Snelly and Zeal, so there really isn't much base for that to be used against him. I'm cool with this for plot purposes, but it's something to consider in the future. IC - Decaia - Le-Koro: Decaia crossed his arms, resting his chin on his fist. Undetected, he began to focus on the water in the air. "Well, since you've put me into a position where I can't deny it... I have to congratulate you, Toa, on your deductive skills." A large torrent of water suddenly burst through the floor of the platform, separating Sloth from his opponents. Contrary to his name, he drew his tomahawks in a flash, before willing the torrent to bend and shoot at Snelly and the others. "Sadly," the Toa of Water called. "This ends here; I don't intend on letting you capture me, forcibly or otherwise."
  11. IC - Decaia - Le-Koro: "I beg to differ," the Toa of Water said to Jeni. Then, to Ariga, "Kid, you don't know the half of it; life makes you cynical. Topic closed, move along."
  12. IC - Decaia - Le-Koro: "It is if you never verbally agreed to join up with the person. Frankly, I think this group is too big."
  13. IC - Decaia - Le-Koro: Decaia gave Snelly an evil, expressionless look, ignoring the random scream from Zealokan. "I dare you to finish that sentence." Every word dripped with a completely unhidden meaning -- Finish that sentence and I'll drown you on land.
  14. OOC: Blade: If it's in the character list, then you're good. IC - Ethan - Lilycove: "Ceris, nice job; return," Ethan said, smiling as he pulled the Scizor back into his Pokeball. "And good job to you, as well, Jamie. I'd say that was pretty good for both of us -- you got a Metagross and I got a Beedrill." IC - Kyle/Sonja - Route to Eckruteak: "Whichever; teleporting would be faster," Kyle said, shrugging.
  15. IC - Decaia - Le-Koro: Decaia arrived just after the others, dispelling his water jet; a soft rain began to fall upon the platforms underneath him as a result. "So... I suppose I should introduce myself," he said to the other two Toa. "Name's Decaia, or Sloth, depending on whether or not you prefer nicknames. I don't suppose either of you've heard anything else about suspicious activities or groups around here?"
  16. IC - Elithes - Arena: "Vroger zhat," Elithes said. "I'm coming your vay." The Matoran struggled to his feet, gasping in pain, though it was still bearable. He hobbled off in Swerv's direction. IC - Dalmia - South District: A soft, otherworldly hiss seemed to sound as Dalmia appeared a few blocks away from where he had teleported from, appearing on top of yet another building. A hand was pressed to his left temple, allowing him to shift through displays on his helmet. A soft chuckle escaped his lips as he thought about the encounter he had just had. "I feel as if I could make use of that being in the future," he said to no one. "Still, I have a search to continue -- and the sooner I find the Sword, the sooner I..." He stopped as his helmet detected... something. An energy reading of sorts. It was located all the way in the North District... but that didn't bother him. Perhaps... "Hm... an interesting idea... Certainly worth investigation..." He opened his palm, stepping into yet another portal -- one, he suspected, that would lead him to the Sword of Ybrus. IC - Lurinost/Sanshou/Syn/?/? - The Garden: Sanshou didn't look back as she, Lurinost and Syn ran for their lives, the crowd of... things... and the crowd's two targets mere yards behind them. She hadn't bothered to question why they should run -- if Lurinost said that they needed to, then they needed to; that was something she had learned over the years. Still, that didn't answer-"What are those things!?" the Artanian called. "Fehrshak! Fehrshak!" Syn called back, his voice absolutely dripping with fear. He stumbled over a rock that he seemed to have missed; without missing a beat, Lurinost grabbed his arm, picking him up and carrying the Matoran on his back. "Fehrshak?" Sanshou responded. "What are...?" "Those things behind us!" Lurinost answered. Sanshou narrowed her eyes. "Just shut up and run! We need to get to an exit point!" "Why can't we just go through where we came!?" "It doesn't work that way," Lurinost answered, irritation blatant in her voice. Behind them, the shouts from the two targets were becoming clearer -- they seemed to be giving each other orders, telling one another when to dodge or about incoming threats. Either way, it was hard to tell with the sounds of the monsters mixed in. * * * "Don't use elemental attacks!" the taller of the two beings called, jumping back as the beast he was fighting swung a club-like arm at him, cutting a deep indent into the soil. His partner dodged around the multiple tentacles of his attack, managing to slice off a number of them with his sickle; the beast screeched in pain, falling back. He used this as an opportunity to teleport next to the bigger beast, managing to slice off its sensory tentacles before kicking it in its midsection, knocking it back momentarily. "Good pointer, for anyone else," he answered. Another of the tentacled beasts suddenly caught up to him, latching onto his boot; he snarled, teleporting several feet away, out of its grip. His partner nodded in approval, at least until- "Look out!" The teleporting being turned, eyes widening in surprise as a gigantic, worm-like monster erupted from the ground to his right, opening its mouth wide; he could tell that there was plenty of room in there for it to swallow him whole. Regaining his composure, he willed a massive, metal spike to erupt from underneath it, skewering the worm and trapping it, before waving his hand behind him and launching a flurry of thorns at the sensory bulbs of the beasts; he didn't stop to see how many fell. "Hey, Rode!" he called. "You notice the three up ahead?" The taller being -- Rode -- nodded. "You know what that means, right?" "We're running out of time," Rode answered. "Which means we'll need to bring the rest of the team next time we come here..."
  17. IC - Nostala - Stony Leap: Nostala nodded, though didn't say anything. "Right," she said to the group of beings. "Sorry; just trying to get my bearings together. My name is Nostala; I come on behalf of my group of allies. Just as you are, we're trapped on this island, and as such have been forced to ally ourselves with beings that we wouldn't be associated with in any other situation." She paused. "To get straight to the point, we couldn't help but notice that your fortress currently blocks the only path we know of that we can use to get from this half of the island to that one. Suffice to say, that poses a problem for us, as we're trying to head that way, primarily due to the monsters that we've had to fend off in this forest for the past few weeks." She let that sink in. "So; I guess the question is, would you be willing to let us through peacefully, and possibly further, would you be willing to establish a temporary alliance of sorts to lengthen both of our groups' survival? Needless to say, I'm sure both groups are capable of handling their own -- our mere, continued existence is evidence of that -- but as they say, there is strength in numbers."
  18. IC - Decaia - Le-Koro: Decaia blinked. That was... a lot to take in in such a short amount of time. He could tell that basically no one in the group actually believed his story, though that didn't surprise him considering it was all a lie, anyway. What was surprising was that, despite the fact that they didn't believe him, they were still insisting on going after his fake Toa and not just confronting him directly -- he was, after all, outnumbered at this point, three Toa plus a Matoran to one. Eh, whatever; do-gooders aren't that bright, I suppose. "Yeah, yeah, I'm coming." He moved forward, summoning another jet of water to ride up onto the main village platform.
  19. See, you I don't recognize, so I take it you're new. :PApproved. Welcome to the game! EDIT: It also seems you're a new member; in that case, welcome to BZPower, as well!
  20. IC - Decaia - Le-Koro: "That is a good question..." Decaia said, looking around. He turned his gaze upward once more, and then looked behind him. "That way is my best bet; it was the direction I saw them going before I was... interrupted."
  21. IC - Nostala - Stony Leap?: Nostala eased out of Orssa's grip, walking forward a couple of steps. She gripped her staff tightly as she walked, observing the group. She stopped after moving forward a few feet."Whose fortress is this?" she called.
  22. OOC: *Considers Elithes's injuries* Hm...Eh, he's got some fight left in him. IC - Elithes/Ehjoras - Arena: Elithes was damaged quite a bit -- a broken rib or three, an injured leg, quite a large burn on his back, crushed armor from being landed on by Alan... However, he was equipped to handle the damage for a few more minutes. For one, his bodily augmentations were proving very helpful in assisting him to handle the pain; for another, the fact that Elithes was almost always one of the first to get knocked out of the Arena was beginning to become a point of mild sadness for his overworld user, and as such he was willing to put him through a bit more harm than usual. Elithes pressed his Crest, contacting his team. "Alan is taken care of," he said. "Vhat about zhe ozhers?" "And Alan goes down after a fierce battle!" Ehjoras boomed over the speakers. "Looks like Elithes is still in the game, but for how long? Not that it matters, though; at this rate Team Vigil has a two person lead over Team Wing. Are we in for another landslide victory?"
  23. IC - Decaia - Le-Koro: ............ Shoot."All right," Decaia said against his better judgment, smirking. "I can't see why we shouldn't; we are, after all, pursuing a common criminal, and judging form how you were fighting earlier... you could use some pointers." This was an interesting pickle. Decaia supposed it didn't matter; for the moment, at least, he had diverted the blame away from himself and onto an imaginary target. However, there was also the fact that he had just diverted blame away from himself by shifting it onto and imaginary target.I'll just wait until we find a nice, big chasm; then I'll throw the Toa and Matoran in, he decided. Or, at least, I can wait until I get an opportunity to ditch them. Maybe I'll stage my own death... Whatever. "Say, what's your name, anyway?" he asked. "My name is Decaia; it's a pleasure to meet you." He bowed.
  24. IC - Decaia - Le-Koro: "Looked like a Toa of Ice or Sonics to me," Decaia said, thinking quickly. "Acted like one of each, too; he was awfully quiet, and didn't even try to fight back -- probably figured it'd attract too much attention." If he was lying -- which he was -- then he was making sure to cover all of his bases at least fairly well.
  25. IC - Nostala - Shadowtangle: They were nearing the edge of the forest now; Nostala could see the fortress through the trees. A slight nervousness was beginning to form, though she ignored it. The Artanian looked at Orssa and paused before continuing into the open. She scanned his face and then nodded, mostly to assure herself that she was ready. Together, they pushed through the bushes and stepped out into the open area, in the field of vision of the group of beings who had created the fortress (she assumed.) To her slight disappointment, they were no longer fighting, though she did not show the emotion. They continued forward again and then stopped a short distance away, waiting to be noticed."If anything starts to go wrong, turn us both intangible," she whispered to her partner. "But do it discreetly."
