  1. My, my, it certainly is a lot easier to read in English, now isn't it? :PGood work translating it, although it would have been more impressive without google translate! Just kidding though, good work.In the space comic, on page 3, the guy mentions there being little oxygen on Mars, while his helmet is up. Huh. And why would you take a 12 year old boy to Mars anyway?EDIT: Read the rest of the comic, the oxygen thing gets explained. But the 12 year old boy still...Those wacky Russians :PMTLThanks! I agree that it would've been more impressive if I hadn't used Google Translate, but unfortunately Google Translate knows more Russian than I do at the moment. :PThe whole 12-year-old-boy-going-to-Mars thing was actually part of the Life on Mars story worldwide. It's still pretty strange, though.
  2. Some of you may recall this Brickshelf folder, which surfaced a while ago last year. It contains scans of the Russian version of Adventures magazine, titled Homemade. Since Adventures magazine is somewhat hard to find, this seemed like a good alternative for enjoying all of the comics inside, although it would require translation. By luck I chanced upon translations of the "Legend of Lewa" comics, resulting in a topic I posted for them before the downtime. However, my attempts to translate the other comics were met with failure- strangely, Google Translate's Russian keyboard did not include several of the characters used in the magazine.Recently I began thinking about the magazine again, and decided to give it another try. Soon enough, I had cracked the code.It began when I noticed that Ogel's name was spelled two different ways in different places. Upon closer examination I saw this applied to all of the names, and that the different spellings were inconsistent only between two different fonts. From this, I began substituting characters in the font Google couldn't translate for characters that were used in the same place in the character's names in the other font.   3. I spelled flyer incorrectly, didn't I?During the downtime, I put a lot of time into MOCing and building with my collection. I already posted Lego Racers, but I thought I'd post these two more creations, both Space themed.First Is this Spyrius Flier:FrontSideBackThe landing gear is retractable.It occurred to me after finishing this that Spyrius has no use for a fighter like this- all of their sets centered around observing with flying saucers and then moving in to steal the satellites with giant robots. I did my best to remedy this fact by adding a satellite grabbing arm. It hides underneath the flier and folds out.Here's a shot of the whole thing with the landing gear up.Next is this Space Police outpost:The idea behind this one is a modern Space Police officer discovering this long forgotten outpost. Inside, an old officer is still at work.This was one of my first attempts to make a larger model. I was browsing the internet when, to my complete surprise, I found this website for the Canadian animation company "theskonkworks."What's most interesting is this page, which includes a pitch for a Johnny Thunder TV show! The main picture and description link to a PDF file, while the smaller "Johnny Thunder" print below links to the actual pitch.It seems old enough that I doubt anything ever came of it (especially with the Ninjago TV show starting up), but its quite interesting just the same.So, what do you think? And if this is old news or anything, my apologies.

  7. Depending on what version of the game you're playing, you may be able to skip Kohlii matches. Go to zoom in the toolbar above the window the game is in and set it to 100%, then see if you can see the words "win match" and "lose match" (or something like that) along the bottom of the screen. If they are there, all you have to do is wait for the other team to make a goal, then click "win match."I know not everyone thinks this method is fair, but my goal in playing Mnolg II was not to win it fairly, but to get to see all of the really cool principles and virtues the Matoran follow, and how they describe them.
  8. Wow, that's quite a large project. Still, it's good to know someone is doing it- It recently occurred to me that a lot of LU would be lost if something like this didn't happen, but I had absolutely no idea where to begin with doing it myself.
  9. I find myself reading these just to find the references to past themes. :PAs always, most of the bios were interesting and fun to read. The Sleepyhead must be psychic, how else could he know about Time Cruisers and Knights' Kingdom?
  10. Very impressive work! For me, LoMN has always been easily the best of the four films, but you've shed a new light on it that makes it seem that much cooler. :PSeriously though, there's plenty of little details that connect the film in otherwise undetectable ways that you have found. It makes me want to go watch the movie again, even if I just did last night. :PThanks for sharing.
  11. Mind telling us where you saw this if it starts airing in December in the US? EDIT: Just found out that the first two episodes may have already aired on 21st and 22nd November. Still, unless you prove me otherwise, I am not sure if I should believe~Gata. Typing in "Lego Ninjago Rise of the Snakes" or something to that effect in the search bar on a popular video sharing website should reveal the clips unknown_user2596 is talking about. Strangely enough, they would appear to be from the fourth episode of the series. No idea how they got that...
  12. Rock Raiders is one of my favorite themes. Along with Lego Racers, I used to play the Playstation version of the game all the time, although to be honest I don't think I got further than the fifth level for a very long time. :PAside from the game, I initially only had the Hover Scout. At some point (2004? But could I really have been buying things online when I was seven?) I bought 3347 and 3348 on Ebay. Soon after, however, I gave them to a friend. And of course, now they sell for around twenty dollars online. :/I really should try to get a hold of the DK books about the theme sometime soon, the theme had a unique and interesting story and hearing about the books mainly from the summaries of other people isn't as cool as being able to read them myself.
  13. Could someone explain to me what is going on with the mythrans distributing unreleased items? I've seen a couple of people wearing dragon costumes, and I heard they will be giving out jetpacks at some point. Does anyone know more about this?
  14. If memory serves, there are five or so large golden levers with a green glow in the center. Along the way you have to lean to the side and hit all of them for the door to open when you return to the beginning.I remember having trouble with this as well when I first played the game. One of the fundamental flaws of the game was the poor explanations of what you need to do to progress- the only hint you get in this case is the Matoran quickly saying at the end of the cutscene: "We need to open the six locks lets go"

Adn sorry, no, that's all I remember. - 55555I wasn't on BZP at the time, but I'm pretty sure it had nothing to do with the Maori lawsuit- that was in 2001, and this was in 2002. If what I've heard is true, then the people who composed the tracks simply didn't want them shared on the internet, for whatever reason. I could very easily be wrong, though, so don't hold me to that. :PAs for the CDs, I don't have any info to share but I am intrigued. Seeing as The Bionicle Music was a track composed initially for Mnolg, there is a possibility that the tracks on the CDs could have been the rest of the soundtrack. But then again, The Bionicle Music seemed to get special treatment as Bionicle's own theme song of sorts, not just as a Mnolg track. At least, it was put in the Powerpack and used as background music for the Toa commercials in France. Like Sumiki said, it could just be they were random Universal CDs.

When I first read your post, I was really excited because the white Noble Huna from 2001 is extremely rare. :PThese masks were created as interchangeable accessories for Bionicle shoes and backpacks produced by a company called Qubic (or something like that) back in 2004. I didn't know they produced Kanohi in colors not in sets, though. Strange.I saw the VMKK too, and was tempted to go for it but I really don't have the money right now.

  18. I agree, the cutscenes run too fast now. The dramatic effect is, in some cases, ruined as a result(like the cutscene where Tahu looks back at Takua through the smoke) and in other places, the music doesn't line up quite right(I'm thinking more specifically here of the Bohrok-Kal story updates, the timing in those is completely butchered now). It makes me wish there was some way to slow the frame rate....Other than that, I didn't like waiting for each individual scene to load, but I ended up getting used to it, because the game was fun anyways.

  20. I am suddenly regretting stocking up on game time...Well, I guess it was bound to happen. LU was, to be completely honest, a commercial failure from the start. Maybe if they had lowered the subscriptions costs, they could've stood a chance...Overall, I wish that the game had taken a different direction, and been more like it was before the redesign. Come to think of it the major reason I was playing was simply because there was Lego storyline involved, I never really liked fighting various stromlings continually. :PSo in the end I guess this is a good thing for me, more money to spend on real Lego.
  21. IC: Matakite "May you find Peace," Matakite mumbled to the Toa, though she was obviously too far away to hear. The rest of the journey to Ko-Koro was uneventful. They followed the flags easily enough, and soon found themselves at the gates of the village. The Matoran guards nodded to them as they entered. The village was much like he remembered. Aside from it being slightly louder, and more of the many strange beings that had appeared around the island, things seemed unchanged. After a short walk to the center of the village, The Sanctum was clearly visible. Inside would be Turaga Nuju. OOC: Should I contact Friar Tuck now?
  22. OOC: Thanks. I wasn't sure how we would be able to make more walking around lost in an empty snowfield interesting. IC: Matakite "HEY! UP HERE!" Matakite heard the shout coming from behind him. He turned around and, struggling to see through the blistering snow, spotted Tuanuku just up the slope. Relief washed over him. Waving to indicate he had heard the call, he began to climb up the slope to Tuanuku. After briefly explaining about the red flag trail, they slid back down the hill to find the boulder. Although Matakite had dug it out only minutes ago, the boulder was already almost completely covered. Luckily, the snow on it was still thin and came off easily. Doing as the Toa had instructed, they were about to set off when something strange became visible out of the corner of his eye. Turning, he saw it was a stone tablet embedded into the hut that served as an entrance to the Toa's home. The angle at which it was placed protected it from wind and snow, and it was clearly visible. "Just a moment, I would like to know what this is," Mataktie said before making the small journey over to the hut. He looked at the tablet.
  23. A DVD? Didn't see that coming. Does anyone know what is in it, specifically? Some episodes of The Lego Club Show? Those shorts they've been putting up on the Ninjago website? Something new entirely? Either way, I look forward to getting my copy.
  24. IC: Matakite As rapidly as he could, Matakite dug the boulder out of the snow. He wouldn't follow it's path now, but it could still serve as a landmark in this endless land of white. At least, until the snow engulfed it again. And so he set off into the snow, not sure what to do or where he was going. "Tuanuku?" he called out, though it seemed as if the wind would muffle his cry.
