  1. Okay, I realize that my comments are starting to sound more and more like writing critiques...but I have to say that I really liked the dialogue between Titan and Voyager in this chapter. It adds a lot of depth to Titan's character in that even when he agrees with someone, Titan still refuses to show interest out of a fear of appearing weak. As obnoxious and prideful as he may be, I get the impression that Titan really believes what he's saying about the importance of being strong, showing confidence, etc.
  2. Ah, thanks for moving this discussion to this topic, I kinda forgot this topic existed. ;I won't be able to post for a while, so that's why I considered just ditching the character. I guess I can just edit the post but leave Dradak's whereabouts open-ended for the time being...
  3. OOC: Okay, I guess my character's dead then.
  4. Good to know. Wow, I guess that shows how green I am at this whole RPG business.
  5. Huh, I just realized that I'm not listed under "approved players" in the profile topic. I've been posting in the RPG for a couple days now...is this an oversight or did I miss something? Also, attention all players with characters in Ko-Metru, a knowledge tower just came down a couple pages ago. I guess we can just assume that nobody was in earshot...
  6. Well, the previous two-parter episodes have already utilized magical-girl-style transformations, a reality warper, and doppelgangers, so I'm not sure what they'll try next...maybe a betrayal by one of the Mane 6? Or would that be too shocking for younger viewers?
  7. I'm vaguely reminded of Gatomon, even though the only real similarities are the proportions of the face.
  8. Well, someone seems to have a whole lot of bling. I guess it could actually be armor, but then he'd be too heavy to use those wings...I kid.
  9. IC: Ko-MetruJust as Dradak was getting ready to move out of the path of the tower, he felt his body suddenly tense up. His breathing grew more haggard, he could physically feel his heart beating, and his limbs tightened and locked up.Move! He screamed at himself internally as he began to shudder. I don't want to die! While in the shadow of the enormous building, Dradak suddenly felt the intense fear lessen. He quickly opened a sizable rift in the earth under him and dived in. After resting for a while, he used his elemental powers again to submerge himself underground.
  10. OOC: Wait, when did I say Dradak was invisible? Since he's a rookie Toa, I figured he wouldn't have the experience to cast an illusion and disguise himself at the same time.IC: Ko-MetruOne of the punches connected with Dradak's shoulder, sending him spinning through the air and into the pavement. He gasped, both from the pain of his fall and in surprise at the Rahi's speed and strength.I don't have the energy or the elemental power to dodge these things for long. Dradak used his control over earth to cause a series of spikes to rise around him to hold off the beetles. In a desperate gamble, he shot a weaken Kanoka into one of the towers, then began to shake the earth under it in an attempt to bring it down on the rahi.
  11. OOC: Whoops, sorry, I assumed it was "control" in the sense of a puppet, rather than an thrall or familiar. :(IC: Ko-MetruDradak had barely had a chance to revel in his success when he realized that the beetles had formed a circle, and that they were about to close in on his hiding spot. He quickly tilted one of the pillars over, than willed it to slam into one of the beetles as he tried to make a break through the gap.OOC: The bed must also claim me soon, I'm afraid.
  12. IC: Dradak pulled out his spear as he watched one of the beetles slice a claw through his illusion. He pointed the spear at the ground and channeled his earth powers again, causing the ground to crack around the gigantic rahi.OOC: That...doesn't count as misusing illusion powers, right? Gotta get a feeling for what flies and what doesn't around here...
  13. IC: Ko-MetruDradak was surprised to see a swarm of giant rahi charging toward him. He panicked and fired his kanoka, but it ended up flying over the rahi. Then he tapped into his elemental powers, causing pillars of earth to rise up around him.
  14. IC: Ko-MetruDradak tried to keep up his pace, but the combination of his labored breathing and the numbness in his organic parts was making the task difficult. He stopped to rest in the shadow of one of the towers, and for the first time he looked around and took in the city. Odd...I guessed this was Metru-Nui from the buildings, but why aren't there any Matoran?Suddenly, Dradak remembered: Hadn't the older Toa been talking about a Dark Hunter invasion of Metru-Nui? How most of the population had gone into hiding?Dradak shuddered, then he pulled out his disk launcher and loaded a Kanoka, turning at the slightest rumble or rahi call.
  15. IC: Ko-MetruA Ghekula frog climbed up out of the silver sea, wheezing and gasping for breath as its appearance shifted to that of a short Toa of earth. Dradak had just learned how frigid the waters around Ko-Metru could be and he had also discovered for the first time why Onu-Matoran were not known for their swimming. Regardless, he was surprised at his good fortune. He had escaped with most of his equipment intact and his former owners had not yet deployed any of the rowboats to pursue him.Suddenly, he heard the alarm horn sound from the slave ship. Oh Krarzahni...better catch your breath later, Dradak. With that thought, he turned and ran towards the relative safety of the knowledge towers.OOC: Yay, cosmic irony! Open for interaction, interception, and attacks of all kinds!
  16. Name: DradakGender: MaleSpecies: ToaFaction: NeutralKanohi: Mahiki, Great Mask of IllusionElement: EarthAppearance: Dradax stands a head shorter than most Toa, with thick black and dull gray armor. His lower leg and and lower arm armor is segmented into interlocking black rings, while his chest, shoulder, and upper leg armor is smooth and shell-like.Powers: Elemental control over EarthAbilities: Moderate ability with stealth and marksmanship, natural night visionWeapons: Dradak's preferred weapon is a standard black Kanoka launcher. He also carries a spear, the head of which can be opened and closed like a pincer via a switch on the shaft.Other Equipment: Kanoka disksPersonality: Being a rookie Toa, Dradak is habitually very nervous. He is afraid of making mistakes or even upsetting allies. For this reason he has a tendency to follow whoever he believes to be the strongest or most trustworthy.History: Dradak was part of a team of rookie Toa that was deployed from a large fortress to protect a Matoran village that had suffered a series of terrible rahi attacks. However, he was separated from the group during a fight with a group of Skakdi, who traded him to a group of slave traders. When the ship neared Metru-Nui, he managed to snap his bonds and use his Mahiki to escape.
  17. True...I think there's also at least one technique that negates status boosts (power up, defense, etc.), although I can't recall any specific examples...
  18. I kinda guessed that "Waves of the South" would have an early lead based on the preliminary polls, so I voted for "Transformation", "Strike from the Shadows", and "Surrender Unto the Hive" despite really liking the concept of "Waves."They're all so good, I don't want to discourage anyone!
  19. I cannot describe the sheer level of fanboy "squee" I felt while reading Gambler. As usual, CTK's stuff is really impressive, particularly Gambler's various card-game based attacks and Meutrière's hit-and-run-facilitating modes. On the subject of Kain, I have no idea how anyone could hope to beat it, barring some kind of incredibly powerful attack or status spamming (Togekiss' Air Slash comes to mind. *shudder*).
  20. Wow, these slots are filling up fast. While I like the regular naming scheme, it's interesting to see what my fellow fans are coming up with. Anyway, better hurry and post choice #2: Steel. Array, female, 25, very short white hair, grey eyes, chainmail shirt, black armor covers much of her body and legs, black boots, 6'2". Speaks in an overly precise way that sounds almost robotic, adheres strictly to her principles. Orbs: #377. Weapons Specialist, #1440. Voidwielder, #602. Darth Vader, #1377. Frenzied Swordsman, #1365. Untouchable Queen, Signature Orb: Untouchable Queen I can't quite tell whether I'm overdoing it on the orbs or not...go ahead and cut/replace whatever you don't like.
  21. I really like how you incorporated terms from gambling into Gambler's dialogue; it gives the character "flavor", so to speak. Also, it's refreshing to see someone recognize that historians have the biggest reason to support breaking the status quo.
  22. Oh please, don't let the caramelldansen fans find this.
  23. Well, I guess I'll be predictable and take the Water-lord. Strider, male, 16, bluish-gray hair that covers his eyes, red headband, blue shirt, grey vest, grey pants, necklace with a red three-pointed charm (think of the shuriken from Ninjago), 4'7". Combative, excitable, easily distracted, always looking for an excuse to fight. Behaves more like a rookie than an experienced Bioni-Lord. Orbs: #50 Tarakava, #1386 Jawblade, #457 Bubbling Crab Signature Orb: Bubbling Crab EDIT: If you can't tell, I'm intentionally avoiding the "mature adult" type.
