  1. A time-traveling role of this sort is not unheard of. There are mafia games I have read about that took place on other forums which had roles that did pretty much the same thing. I can't vouch for how well those games worked out since I didn't participate, but the idea itself has definitely been tried before.
  2. I may be a "coward," but at least I survived. It's been awhile since I survived a mafia game, I think.
  3. Hooray! I'm glad to hear of this change.
  4. The game is over and we are planning the next one. I think a six-element ring could work, though it would decrease the chances of running into the element that weakens your players/that your players weaken. You could always do five elements but give each element two elements that it weakens and two elements that weaken it, a la Rock-paper-scissors-lizard-spock, or invent a similar setup for a greater number of elements. EDIT: If you search "RPS - 7" you will find a Rock-paper-scissors variant that could be used for seven elements. Each has three strengths and three weaknesses. You could do the standard six plus light.
  5. Another possibility would be to give affinities a Rock, Paper, Scissors-like character, where instead of Fire and Water both decreasing the bonuses of each other, Fire might decrease Water, but Water might decrease Earth, and so on. That way you couldn't win just by grabbing all the characters of one element without fear that another team might exploit your weakness. The way it worked in this game, that weakness didn't really exist, since while those with Earth affinities hurt Ice players, those with Ice affinities also hurt Earth players, and the damage canceled itself out. That meant that affinities only really had an affect in a positive direction. There were a few players who were an exception to the rule, for example, Lhikan (which is why I picked him initially) and Lesovikk, but for the most part it held true.
  6. Congratulations, everyone, and especially to the chief rival of the Robotic Toa, the Ta-Metru Tahtoraks. One slightly different roll of the dice and that game could easily have gone the other way. And thanks be to Fighty, for being such a great host and thorough commentator! ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
  7. Hm . . . a Bionicle-themed Transformers game. Well, as Toa Robot No. 18, I feel especially qualified for this one. Please add me to the list!
  8. Ah. I was really confused for a second. Yes, Thok was ice and had some blue, though he was primarily white and gray, I would say. Certainly, the secondary color for ice is usually gray or blue or both.
  9. Well, I'm thinking Kopaka, Nuju, Matoro, and Kualas's color schemes, primarily. EDIT: Wait. What? Avak?
  10. But . . . wouldn't that be water vs. fire?
  11. Good game, Burnmad. And now for the final game. Some say it will end in fire. Some say in ice . . . EDIT: I just noticed that the team logo has mysteriously changed from the previous version: (I like the new logo, though. )
  12. Aye, good game, Burnmad! Our teams are pretty evenly matched and our fans will definitely be on the edge of their seats for this next game! EDIT: This probably doesn't affect anything, and it might turn out better for me anyway that he has to be rested next game instead, but Lhikan appears to have played four games in a row.
  13. Oh, burn! Get it? Burn? Anyway, I am sure he will show up eventually. In the mean time, I think we should strive toward game-related discussion. Such as . . . I hear a rumor there is no mafia group in this mafia game. Can anyone confirm or deny?
  14. Yeah, I just messed up the team names/players in my head. Alright. In that case, onward to the finals!
  15. What? The guy who killed the good guy wins? Let this be a lesson to you all, kids. Never play nice.
  16. Just so you know, your last post did say, "It's crunch time. Lineups for Game 3 are due by 12:00am EST on July 24th. The winners of Game 3 will go on to face one another in the BCL Finals." I sent mine in early just to be safe since you had mentioned 24-hour rounds previously, and I really should have asked you about it, which is my bad. In any case, that might be why Burnmad missed the round.
  17. Norik mined 10 ores. I mine for ores. Toarobot18 mined 5 ores.
  18. I think you can only trade one for one. So you still have Tuyet, I think, 'cause he said he'd take Naho to make it work. Nvm. One sec. . . If I understand what he did correctly, you now have Matau as the seventh guy.
  19. I've had a slight change in strategy since my offer, so I think I'll pass on that, despite the fact that it would be nice to say the Robotic Toa succeeded in getting every ice player available. Thanks, though!
  20. I have come to realize that for me, to be killed is only for the nightmare to end. A friend of the village lives on. Rises into the peace. Though the statue might kill us, and villains too, I don't mind. Sometimes the Pulse decided rather near by a weird, small village that can often be eliminated under water.
  21. OH NO! To be killed . . . by my own drink . . . All this kindness, for nothing!
  22. Mairanui mined 3 ores. ShadowVezon mined 5 ores. Norik mined 10 ores. Pupwa mined 5 ores. I mine for ores. I mined 10 ores.
  23. Pupa mined 4 ores. ShadowVezon mined 5 ores. Mairanui mined 2 ores. I mine for ores. I mined 9 ores.
