You didn't bring this up but oil/plastic prices affect everything too. One mistake I think Lego is making is making the sets bigger and bigger. The small sets are now the size of the Toa Mata. This is driving prices up and up. Also making the small set boxes part plastic must be expensive too. Oh and I dont really think the 1/2 villain 1/2 hero thing is that much of a good thing for sales. As I see it the roleplayer will buy villains and heroes and not come back for the summer because they already have both.

I like the Technicism THough it seems Lego may be moving slightly back to it just so they cna keep some of their older fan like with the 08 vehicules. Though I have too admit I liked the Rahi and Bahrag more because of how complicated they were too build. I cherish my Nui-Rama, they are my fav set and always will be aside from maybe Lewa Mata Anyway enough of my personal tastes. I agree that Lego will constantly have to change to keep with the market and to please kids. As for what you said about red it's already not the fav colour. If I'm not mistaken green has gone into the forefront.

I would go so far as to generalize that for many, many older fans, we could be just as pleased every year if we would simply unlock our brains to allow ourselves to be so.

Er you might wanna rethink that bones because if somebody liked 2001 type of situation it has not happened since therefore not possible to have the same pleasure. Sure they might like some new things but they could not experience the same emotion unless their tastes drastically changed.
