  1. Totally gonna parody one of my favorite books right now. (Background info: an old guy left an undeciphered parchment in this city, and it has taken 100 years for it to be deciphered)

"Before reaching the final line, however, he had already understood that he would never leave that room, for it was foreseen that the brain of Sumiki (or Sumikubes) would be wiped out by the wind and exiled from the memory of men at the precise moment when Brickeens would finish deciphering the parchments, and that everything written on them was unrepeatable since time immemorial and forever more, because BZPers condemned to one hundred years of madness did not have a second opportunity on the Interwebs.”

And THAT'S what'll happen when his statuses (statii, statuses?) are deciphered.

  2. I need to read this before I see it. Good science fiction must be read book-before-movie.

I strongly agree with the statement, but for a different reason. As you read the book, you'll no doubt be aware the movie will be different. Treat the movie as a Cloud Atlas 2.0. It isn't the book, but it accomplishes much the book can't do. I wouldn't say one is better than the other; rather, they complement one another. However, a lot of background info from the book will help to explain parts of the movie.

  3. Brickeens, I think you need a dose of BrickFair to help you with this.

In all seriousness, though, hang in there (unless you have nothing literal to hang in or onto, in which case why do people say hang in there if you're outside I mean it's not like there's some tornado and there's some pole and that's what's gonna save you but the pole is inside you which is why you hang IN THERE and oh look I've gone off topic again) and try to keep on looking at the bright side of stuff.

Dude, any girl that would turn you down would be absolutely nuts.

But then, if she's that blind that she turns you down, you clearly don't want her.

    This.

    What these two said.

    What these three said.

    Gave me hope.

    So thanks, guise!

seeing as I built this cute little TECHNIC contraption with a rose attached to it.

Consider yourself luck that this isn't frowned upon. Almost everyone I know seems to consider LEGO "childish".

Do you know what I call them? Muggles.

    (I actually don't)

In any other case it would most definitely be branded "childish" as well (I still get that from my parents), but hopefully it'll have more of a "cute and funny" effect here.

    Here's hoping...

  6. There's moments when you see all of the hate, all of the violence, all of the horrors still present even in what we call our "advanced" and "civilized" society and it makes one angry.

And then seeing posts like these remind me that there's still hope, and that change is still brewing.

And that makes me excited to see the future.
