  1. Gorgeous! absolutely gorgeous! i love the black and gold, the boots look fantastic! the sword! the hands! the clothes! , it looks too amazing to adequately describe in short sentences!
  2. Hi, long time reader and bionicle fan here, from the good old days! What i think, is that the 'obvious' hints at the mask of time are a generalized hint that maybe this is an alternate timeline, or that the old bionicle universe was an alternate timeline, that someone, makuta, or even a good guy somewhere, went back in time, and changed the timeline in some way. I think that 'okoto' is just going to be a name for the island, a better name than 'mata nui' because it wont be as obvious that the island is covering mata nui's face! The island is enough like the old one, that i feel like its going to be either a reboot on an alternate timeline, or its going to be the far future, or the far past, something like this. I always said that after bionicle did the bara manga dinosaur planet line, they should do a space theme! traveling to other planets, discovering ancient artifacts! its a shame they didnt, but i suppose we got "hero factory" for that =\ And for that matter, i forget how the original toa mata got to mata nui, but this COULD very well be the far future, after the toa get sent back to the red star, and they are called back to this island to complete some other destiny, i dont know. Because i mean, send your prayers to the stars? that definitely sounds like foreshadowing of the old repair station, maybe this is after they fix it? they never finished telling the story of what happens up on the red star, in fact all the old serials ended abruptly for me! EDIT: the carving of the six toa standing in a circle with the golden masks is a callback to the original toa mata, they each have their original weapon, not the new ones! im feeling quite good about this being some sort of reboot.
  3. You know, Lego, the only reason i dont buy more of your products is because as an unemployed 17 year old from a family that doesnt own 5 pools, a mansion, and a ferrari, I DONT HAVE MONEY! Thank you, just wanted to say that the ONLY reason i dont buy more lego stuff is lack of money. Otherwise, yeah sure, hero factory and technic, technic is probably better than hero factory, but hero factory is at least giving me LOTS of cool pieces, even if they have no discernable story element.
  4. 10/10 bajeebus that is alot of detail, i would like to say that i for one would like pictures of the back for skeleton purposes if nothing else lol
  5. couple of things,1: the news article doesnt have a link to this actual topic, but luckily searching you came up with this topic lol2: its a great color scheme, and for those who say orange isnt stealthy, i would like to point out that tigers are, in fact, orange, they are that color to blend in with orange grasses, so the same general principle could apply here3: while it is extremely well put together, i think that it would pay off in the long run if you could redesign its knees and hips so it could actually move, because this would be great to do action scenes and RPG esque things with other bionicles (such as staging an attack between the S.A.D. and the Nektann)4: ??5: Profit.lol all in all good work broEDIT:: forgot to say that i really like the feet on this, look really well put together, but i again cite the movement issue lol
  6. Hey, saw you around and thought id say hi, so hi! lol, glad to see youre still active n stuff, and nice name change too lol. well, ill be around if you wanna poke me and say hi back lol, cya!

    1. Taka Nuvia

      Taka Nuvia

Heyuu! =D It's great to hear from you again and see you're around, too... ^^ oh, and because you asked for it: *poke*

      :3

    2. Taka Nuvia

      Taka Nuvia

Also, sorry, I should've seen this earlier. :/

  7. EPICCCCCCCC*mind-splosion*Yeah, thats all i can really say, you dont mind if i use this as my desktop wallpaper do you? lol
  8. Quite epic, its all very interesting and streamlined, and most of the connections are obvious, i just wish i had this myself in my hands so i could turn it upside down and all around lol. One of the more interesting (and cool) connections is the spinal column right above the pelvis, where its actually ball and hands stacked down into that bohrok arm, but i am interested into whats behind the bohrok arm as the hand doesnt seem to go directly into it but right behind it... oh well, very cool!
  9. OMGOMGSo delicious!Im glad ive lived long enough to see this!Minor discrepancies aside, its just completely amazing! If it werent expressly illegal to make money selling bionicle based merchandise while Lego still owns the trademark (and without their express permission and contract) i would give you positively oodles and oodles of money to have this for my collection!Or probably just to buy the model and print it myself teeheeAnyway, Glad to see this finally!Yay!Oh, also, upon posting this i saw that my signature pic was actually of the mask at hand! What irony! (or is it irognika? igorny? nevermind, not the reason for this edit lol)
  10. Marvelous! Just Marvelous!my highest congratulations, for this is a singularly epic piece of writing!in the way of criticism, i personally found it too short, but thats because i prefer long epics, like makuta island by galivee back in the day, and any idea not fully followed through is an opportunity lost...but this does raise some questions, if we presume that they started out all made and assembled in their proper place, and then we presume that everyone was logical up to this point, then does it mean they remember their entire existence?if so, when did they forget the beginning? when did they forget the first moment they woke up?or, at this point, can we presume that the matoran we know and love today are actually the second or third generation, after most of the originals died from such things as "falls" and whatever they called rahi in those days?and then this would explain how, with the decline of the population, mata nui became more and more decrepit and run down, with less matoran to fix him due to a fixed number of matoranbut then, if we presume we have newer matoran, with the oldest being toa and turaga, or some sort of third thing, then that would require some sort of matoran creation facilities inside mata nui.... and to my knowledge i never rememberd an answer to this problem being addressed...unless, of course, we presume they always had several million more matoran than they ever needed, and when they died they just promoted the best matoran for the job lolanyway, i hope i wrote all the above comprehensively and correctly, but in any case, my whole point in this is to congratulate you on your making it to the front page, and of course to admire your exquisite short story
  11. information pertaining to the precise set up of this experiment:Known by Me: None (stipend; it is assumed due to logical analysis of earlier posts that the neutrino was "shot through the earth" )Known by Others: Unknownstupid lag, i expected to get a double post from the lag, and instead got double message, lol
  12. hmmm.... my main thing is that, technically speaking, if neutrinos can shoot through the earth(BTW, to the dude that was asking about the neutrino, it is my understanding they shot it through the earth from one side to the other, though i could be wrong)with no hindrance whatsoever, then who is to say that they know whether they are on a planet and supposed to spin with it or not?just sayin, if you can ignore mass, why still be bound to its gravity?
  13. However, you're forgetting the fundamental aspect of light.Light speed is not relative, and by extension, the light speed barrier is non-relative.Light is the same speed to you no matter how fast you are traveling, due to it's wave nature. It's frequency changes, but it's actual speed never doesn't.Also, since neutrinos hardly interact with matter, your second explanation is unlikely.Even the equipment at CERN is on;y able to detect about 2-3% of the neutrinos they launch. You are probably right and i am almost certainly wrong, but i do like to make sure i cover all bases before running off into random tangents 1: did not know that2: i was referring to not only the actual speed, but the amount of intrinsic velocity and inertia required to keep an entirely galaxy, not only revolving, but moving together as a cohesive mass,. because as you pointed out, 552 km/s isnt that fast, but the galaxy is quite large :3P.S; Thanks for agreeing with me lol
  14. Well, on the subject of credentials. I'm a college student pursuing a degree in Physics, focusing in Quantum Optics. The main problem I have with your "cone theory", (which is a viable option for FTL travel), is that it doesn't relate to the recent neutrino experiment. In order for your idea to make sense, the particles would vanish from one place, and then appear suddenly in another. Due to the fact that it made the journey through a higher spatial dimension. But the neutrinos took the straight line path through the earth. No random jumps occurred. Not to mention the incredible amount of energy that would be required to jump an object to a higher spatial dimension, something the neutrinos weren't even close to producing.Like i said, i could be wrong, but i also said that the speed of light has been slowing down, and also, you act as if you know for a fact that the neutrino behaved exactly like that, 2 things:1: can you link me the articles involved? i will study it in depth myself.2: if it DID go faster than light, how can you observe it to know that it DID go faster than light? light being the fastest possible measurement, how do you record a car going at 70 miles an hour past you with a camera that takes one frame of recording every five minutes?just point in case and hold neither your argument nor your facts against youPost Script: if gravity can escape our dimension freely as M theory would dictate, then we could easily develop a gravity generator (possibly monopole based) that could suck us into a higher dimension by useage of sailing on gravityI believe most of the articles I read, I can't link to.But most major news outlets wrote on the subject.Anyways, my answer to your your questions:We don't know for certain how the neutrinos behaved. But because they didn't do anything else out of the ordinary, other than arriving 30-60 nanoseconds to soon, assuming they traveled the intended straight line, while staying in this dimension, makes the most sense. The way they measured the speed is a little different from your camera analogy. If that were the case, there would be no way to measure high speed particles.Think of it more like shooting a rocket into a wall. The launch is an easily measurable event. When you pushed the red button is when the launch started.Similarly, the crash is an easily measurable event. Put enough sensors in the wall to tell us when it was destroyed. So, by measuring indirectly, you can obtain very accurate results.Hope that made sense, and also keep in mind that most of this is still hypothetical. The scientists who ran the experiment still don't have a clear idea of what they did. Ah, i see, then here is an obvious answer which they may have thought of, but i will state anyway...The earth is a moving object, it is not only moving around its axis, moving around its sun, and its sun moving around the galaxy, but our galaxy itself is indeed moving in a direction we have yet to understand at speeds incomprehensible to the human mind...it is entirely feasible the neutrinos got there sooner because the earth moved the target closer. Easy is as easy does....The best way to prove this for sure would be to, of course, repeat it at different hours of the day, and from both ends of the earth, as to provide a baseline average of what direction the earth is moving so that you would know whether it got there because the target got moved, or because of FTL transmissionBut there is also the simple explanation that there is something in the core of our earth that is more slippery to neutrinos and so it just had less problems getting here, or some such analogy
  15. Well, on the subject of credentials. 16. SO.MUCH.NERD-SPEAK.(P.S: I prefix my life with "I could be wrong")But, thats okay, because i skimmed the last page anyway, I think it would be well if everyone involved (since they have listed their are of interest) should indeed list their credentials. now as i expect few to none college graduates, and more "i watched a nova on it" than "i studied at a library for a month" i will not bug you about your credentials. The reason, however, of why i bring credentials up, is that i would indeed like to make a lasting contribution to your questions and efforts. I believe i can do this, but you may not, so i will list my credentials.I say this now, however, i do not keep up with the modern times due to my work in electronics, so by all means, if i say something glaring wrong due to new information, feel free to correct me. I only claim as much being right as what was taught to me, and beyond that i can only make hypotheses as to the nature of anything...1: credentials, a: my father was a mechanic for 20 years and has taught me much about the internal combustion engine. the reason i list this first is because someone was talking about the way a car creates energy for itself, and i will be addressing this topic later. b: i have watched the entire nova series on M theory, and will say many things about it when i get a chance to. That said, this falls under the "rendered irrelevant by recent developments" clause because it was filmed before the CERN supercollider was made, so obviously it could be wrong. c: i have studied on my own electromagnetic theory, gravitic theory, various theories on space travel, by rocket and other means, and various other areas of intellectual curiosity such as psychology, semantics, animal behavior, and counseling.now that my creds are out of the way, let us begin with my area of intrest: Well, particle physics is quite entertaining, but i lack the math for it, i just know the absolute knowledge of the material at hand, and it could be proven wrong by recent development. So my primary field of research and entertainment has been electronic arts, such as circuitry, logical operations, coding lanugage, the worksNow onto topic 1!gravitic theory, as taka nuvia started the discussion with!M theory would like to describe gravitic force as being a weak force in small amount with it being large in large amount, they still do not know what CAUSES gravity, but they have mathematically worked out the reason why it is so weak in small amount: Gravity particles are escaping out of our membrane and into others.Good luck with that lolNow onto the perpetual motion engine of the automobile....The point was raised that an underwater train could generate electricity to power itself by forcing a turbine to turn.... Yeah......No, ROFLThe point was raised that a car does the same thing, but successfully.... YeahhhhhhNo LOLThe alternator in the car is powered by the drive belt off the engine as to create electricity by use of a magnetic generator. Its purpose is to do 2 things;1: Charge the battery2: Fuel the spark plugsIf you notice, the working of an internal combustion engine is electronic sparks controlled by computer igniting gasoline and air under high pressure to turn a piston. The amount of energy created is far and above anything we could possibly use, but its sheer brunt force makes enough horse power to turn the drive train, and, by consequence, the alternator. once you start the car with a charge from the battery, it will run on its own until it runs out of gas, the reason for this is the excess energy from the explosion can be converted into enough electronic energy to run all the electronics in your car, your cell phone charger, and a laptop with no problem. Now onto the topic of FTL.... this is where it gets hairy.....FTL is impossible..... BUT the speed of light has been shown to slow down as it bounces off of objects, so it is entirely possible that light can go FASTER if its not impeded... or at least thats what my logic determines, i could be wrong by the "RIbRD" clause, as i know not the FTL neutrino experiment everyone is talking about.BUT if you were to exit our current 3 dimensional space and into 5 dimensional space, you could go 10 feet in the 5th dimension and have gone 1000 light years in our three, the reason for this is because space is weird, and for demonstration i will provide the illustration of a cone...Take a piece of paper, roll it up into a cone, a point at one end, open at the other, easy, right? Yes very. Now take your writing implement of choice and place 2 dots, one on one side of the cone, and one on the side opposite it.(both, for the record, in case anyone misunderstands my directions, on the OUTSIDE of the paper, not one on the inside and one on the outisde)Now attempt to reach the second dot from the first dot without taking your pencil off the paper.....you make a line around the cone, of course, and it would seem to be the shortest possible distance.... but its not! the shortest possible distance is not around the cone at all, it is THROUGH the cone, and that is how we would achieve FTL drive, by exiting into another space and coming out where we like....Or, as may be equally possible, but i do not know the physics, and will quote the "RIbRD" clause here again...If one were to reduce the inertial mass of an object to zero, one could accelerate it faster than light, because the whole limit of lightspeed is that the more you approach lightspeed, the heavier your object gets, the more energy required to push it, and so on and so forth... But with an object weighing nothing, you cannot multiply it by any number to get any increase at all for the basic principle that nothing is nothing, and any number multiplied by 0 IS 0.So a lightspeed limit would be irrelevant because even a photon has mass, little that it is, and it therefore can only go so fast before it reaches infinite density, hence, lightspeed. Also, perpetual motion machines are impossible, a machine that moves the energy around in a closed loop, however, is entirely possible, and feasible to do.... you just cant get any energy OUT of it, and thats where the problem is...Any other discussions i have forgotten due to my fervor over writing my current ten paragraph essay on M theory, particle physics, and the internal combustion engine, and will gladly address at a later lime lol.I hope i have confused no one, as I cannot make it any simpler without going to basic "things go boom" and no one wants that.(P.S: And i suffix my words with "Or something")
  17. Taka! its been so long, every time i think about you i come and watch your work for a few days and then get busy with life, and now youve exceeded everyones expectations and made it to the front page!Grats!now onto the comics.....yeah, they are great, id be [lying] if i said i could see anything wrong with them... though i would like it if you made them in color lol (and yes, i know thats harder to do, im just saying id LIKE it not you HAVE to)well, i think ill run by your profile page and read the last months work while i have the time today, and Grats again on making it to front page! you certainly deserve it!
  18. 2 things, 1: as obviously stated the base is a tad blah, and it would have been (IMO) much cooler if you had put some of those transport tubes in the background, or maybe a broken one the morbuzahk was breaking2: as i obviously do not come anywhere close to being able to paint that bordahk near anything other than black spray paint i will not critique it, but i will say it looks totally awsome.Good day!
  19. i love how everyone else says this is entirely chaos and incomprehensible until Vezon shows up, which is funny because it seemed to me that Vezon said little to nothing about anything, and it was lewa who did all the work lolBut my point in mentioning the chaos is that i understood it from the beginningKrom said mask of time, lewa had nightmares - Infinite universes!and technically speaking a point previously raised is that in canon the vahi could only speed up and slow down time. This is because we as beings only conceive time flowing forwards from where we stand, and can only slow it down or speed it up because we do not see any other direction. We as beings, and henceforth the bionicles made in our image can normally only perceive time forwards and backwards. For the longest time, time was the 4th dimension [of space], not the 3 dimensions [of time] it is now currently understood to be by major humans in the business.time looks linear to a linear being, a bridge looks flat to those crossing it. therefore to a being that is entirely outside our perception, both being tren krom, the first creation of the great beings, a weird tentacle monster with senses outside perception and all that jazz and DEAD barely holding himself together, time would clearly have the 3 current dimensions of time, and then probably the full 14 [dont quote me on that number] dimensions of M theory as well in addition to the few meager spacious dimensions we and the bionicles in our image live in. posessing a vahi at that point would grant full transmute-ability of the universe and all time space continua. The result, however, as correctly predicted, would be utter chaos and destruction of everything. This because once you start splicing time together not just erasing and changing, the quantum particles of the different time lines would not agree with each other at the basic level, you would be chopping strings up and tie-ing them together into a monkey knot, unleashing dimensional chaos.confused yet? consider me the inspiration of Vezon, only with actual knowledge of the matters at hand.also, in other news, Congrats! you won some jazz and made it onto the front page!another topic, which is entirely unrelated other than being bionicle and referred to in this story, is the great beings.as far as my knowledge extends they never really explained the great beings as anything other than giant shipbuilders, that is to say; builders of giant ships, though i have a strong suspicion that they actually did and i missed it at some point and am forever biased because i dont see it lolthey ran around the universe, made tren krom, made mata nui 1.0, that one esploded, they made mata nui 2.0, equipped with nano bots for infinite preservation! and then blew up a planet to launch him into life.also that brings to mind the issue of the matoran, if they are nano bots, are they nano bots in relation to human size? or are they just nano bots because they are so much smaller than mata nui? the second of course would make a tremendous amount of sense as opposed to the first, because at some point you have to confirm the size and gravity of the planet they visited, and also put gravitic generators in mata nui for preservation of the idea of "down" to the matoran, which otherwise would not like the trip and would function little to not at all.this also brings to mind the point that Metru Nui was actually mata nui's braincase and brainparts, in addition to being a giant city.....are the transport tubes neurons? veins? some other third thing? infinite possibilities! ALL of them canon except the one where the giant monster comes and goomba stomps the town. This has been...... i forget!REMEMBER, WE ARE _G.R.I.D_ AND OUR TIME HAS COME
  20. Hey look! its Megatron!XDThough in all reality it does look like that, but its not your fault. It is hard to get original ideas nowadays and it really doesnt look specificalllike megatron, but the white/silver metal sticking out everywhere make it look familiar to anyone who has watched the new transformers series. It looks really great, i mean, its slightly small, and it could be a little more central to the picture area, but the only real complain i have is that the spear seems to be not connected to anything (upon looking at it again i see he is holding the end of the handle, but for now let us assume it looks like hes not holding it lol) but the spear itself is quite well made, of a japanese ancestry, and suited to the piece.its a solid 8/10, and it could be an easy 10/10 if it was more central to the picture and the spear was held in less awkward pose.REMEMBER, WE ARE _G.R.I.D_ AND OUR TIME HAS COME.
  21. yes, i know that, i actually know that (as per the one who told me, and she is in the production so i think she would know) they are 100% done with all the set building, recording, and voice acting, and as far as I know the only thing they are doing now is working on their second script, but this is entirely unofficial and im sure they have editing to do if they are going to put it on the ubertubes
  22. it would be entirely possible, the only impossible part is making metru nui under it, because while you can make a mata nui face at bedrock you cant have anything under bedrock, but thats not the point of this post! hi guys, its me, the man you all love to hate, catching up on the news and things and thought id run by here! since this something extremely interesting to me theres no harm in saying KUTGW because i still want to see the finished product that said, its a bummer i cant help out, though i would love to if you would give me a chance
  23. hey finally got around to checking on all the forums things i follow/ish so here i am! ready and willing for any and everything also, im voicing the mystery man right? or am i hallucinating?
