Makuta of Metru Nui. -
Imagine having sand seep into the openings in the armor and tearing it apart form the inside, or ripping the armor to shreds with diamond shards/Crystal Shards. Or even having small diamond fragments seep into the armor and tear it apart. I'm obviously being more creative than Lego would, but you see my point.

And perhaps it is, I was explaining what I thought they were thinking. Need 6 elements, split the two up. Wham bam thank you ma'am, six elements. It also seems to me like giving someone the power over sand and Stone at the same time would make them, if clever, a lot more...let's avoid the term powerful and use something else...It'd make them a lot more effective at their job. If they had both powers they could probably defeat Makuta themselves if they put some thought into it. Throw sand in his face, encase him in Diamond or something stronger we don't know exists perhaps, and the story's done right there. I just think a Toa of Earth with both control over sand, dirt and solids would be twice as dangerous. I think from a writing perspective, it would have been too efficient and they would have had to nerf it down to elongate the story. I know I've had to do it to characters to make sure the story progressed at the pace I wanted it to. Just because it's for kids doesn't mean it doesn't deserve the tending to story, writing style and pace that a full novel the likes of Upton Sinclair or Ernest Hemmingway gets.

Attack on Titan. -
If I remember correctly, each has unique setbacks. Such as Earth not being able to control anything other than dirt, sand, clay, etc. And Stone only being able to control solids like crystal, stone, etc. Combining them together without nerfing each to make them less powerful would essentially be making a super-soldier.

A new front page, security wise, is absolutely essential. It's basically a backdoor into the site at this point. Advertising wise, it needs to be updated to bring in new members and has to feel fresh to capture their attention. I think rejuvenate the forums as well, make them more Bionicle-centric like we did with Hero Factory and Lego in General. Actually put some effort into rejuvenating the gaming forums like RPGs. Revive the Comedies and Epics sections, rejuvenate the CoT RPGs. Generally variate the content we offer as a website. Perhaps more contests? Advertising on websites, or just having people spread the word around would do wonders for increasing the volume of the site and bringing attention to Bionicle's return. Other than that, FIX THE FRONT PAGE. That is absolutely necessary with Bionicle coming back.

The Revolving Door - Official I'm New! / I'm Back!
Franz Joseph Haydn replied to Makaru's topic in General Discussion
I think I remember you, you weren't as noobish as some and to be honest you should just leave that behind and try to move on, don't think about it. Thinking about things only manifests said things.- 207 replies

Whilst I agree with a LOT of what people are saying in this thread, I do not agree with changing the front page. Perhaps update the info at the side but I find the front page to be easy to navigate and use and I did when I first joined as well- everything was presented there for me to find easy as pie. I could take it in as I pleased and wasn't guided in a certain direction. I liked having the freedom of going where I wanted next and I do think that changing the front page will cause some confusion and perhaps a bit of difficulty for new members. If someone is curious about the franchise they should be able to come into it and explore it as they wish- like exploring the Wiki. I'm not sure how we would redue the front page but I wouldn't want it to change very much from it's original orientation. Perhaps update the visuals but leave the format as is- it's ripe for exploration and fueling of curiosity. Re EDIT: Recently I posted saying the opposite of this and it's worth saying that I have learned a lot about code over the last month and now realize exactly how much of a hazard the un-updated code is. It's a backdoor to the site and we need to update and maintain it if BIONICLE is coming back. We'll be an easy lunch for hackers if we don't.

How did you find/hear of BZP?
Franz Joseph Haydn replied to Underscore's topic in General Discussion
This topic has been done into the ground many times over but I like telling the story so I thank you for giving me the chance I was actually obsessed with BIONICLE months before joining BZP and was researching and reading my mind out. It was probably the most interesting time of my life, back then. And I came across and lurked on BZP. My parents at the time were net-wise and didn't want me to get into anything I couldn't handle but eventually I signed up. -

Franz Joseph Haydn replied to Makaru's topic in General Discussion
Hello darkness my old friend, I've come to talk with you again... I used to go by the name Tahu Nuva Mistika, TNM and Tuvok and may be going back to one of those soon. I came back due to all the buzz around Bionicle and I've decided to at least try and stay for a while and see if anything turns up, get involved with the community again etcetera. It should be interesting. I used to maintain a blog on here and would like to bring that back and see if I can get some readers. Let's see what the next generation holds, eh?- 207 replies

I wouldnt go so far as to say it was mad, but I saw a lot of familiar faces all the time. Now I barely see anyone I know besides staff, and I've been too far down the Reddit rabbit hole now for too long to even know for sure if they remember me. Everything's slow and painful now and I'm hoping to Gods that the return of Bionicle we think is going to happen will bring back the actrivity that I knew and loved. I can go down the forum list and mark every forum as read now and I never could back then., except rarely.
