  1. To be honest I'm not even sure. I always pop in every couple years, but I don't really count that as activity. I'd say before this year I was gone for probably 5-6 years based on my research.
  2. Thanks for posting those links, they really brought me back. Especially seeing the word Tohunga instead of Matoran.
  3. While I was never a big fan of the Bohrok, I always loved how their canisters.I can't say I ever had a least favorite since I more or less stopped buying after the Kal were released and never experienced the other canisters.
  4. I'm going to have to agree with some of the other posters in regards to the upper jaw. It just looks a bit strange on this otherwise great MOC. Green would look great, but black would make the arms look to bland. I would personally leave them white. One thing I really like about the hands is how you connected the thumb to the rest of the hand. It looks like it should allow for more movement than other similar designs I've seen. And I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to steal your thumb to replace the clunky thumb on a MOC I've been working on.
  5. ~Almost all my friends know I'm still into Lego.~3 of my friends may recall that I was once into Bionicle~Probably only one of my friends knows I still like to pop in once and a while.
  6. Back in the day it was GD, BBC, and CoT. Nowadays I'm more into SBC and I almost never visit CoT.
  7. The internet has always seemed a little bit like the wild west to me. Yet in this sea of chaos and lawlessness that has spawned so many websites that shouldn't be named we have BZPower which has somehow kept control over the content and remained child safe for so many years. Similarly I have always felt BZPower's organization of the staff has been ahead of its time in comparison to many discussion boards out there. That's what first drew me to BZP back when it was still BionicleZone. And while I am sad that the activity has gone down since the Golden Age of Bionicle I love that the small town feel has returned.
  8. They think I spend too much money on Lego, but otherwise ignore my hobby.
  9. I'm just absolutely blown away by this. Those trebuchets are wonderful. Are they capable of firing on their own weight or do they require human power? I might have to build one just to play with it.
  10. I never thought I'd see a Lego shoe, but it turned out very well. You ought to put up a picture of the real one next to it for comparison.
  11. My heyday was when "BZP" had <500 members. When I came back it felt strange to see this board so slow, but it reminds me of the old days and why I first came here. If you think things are too slow, find a couple topics you like and post. Or try a different segment of the site. You make BZP what it is to you.
  12. Apparently I was known as Vampire Barbie for a short while. That one was a big surprise for me.
  13. I'd really like to see anything ancient Roman or Greek, especially anything with a toga or a tunic.
  14. This is great, I can't wait to see what the sets look like.
  15. Wow.I remember July of 2001; playing the MNOLG, browsing xtian's bionicle corner and dreaming of a Mata-Nui made out of bricks. It sounded amazing, but my brick collection was far too small to even make a dent in a project of this size. "Oh well, it probably wouldn't be as cool as it is in my head anyway" I reasoned Well I sit here today and I see just how wrong I was. This is amazing. I didn't think anything could make me love it any more... ...Until I read this. The only thing I can think of as an improvement would be adding a little variety to the colors in some places. For example, mixing in some other greens to add a little more depth to Le-wahi and mixing in some other browns to add a little detail to Po-Wahi. As it stands right now these areas are little bland compared with Mangai and Mt Ihu.
  16. I LOVE the design. The color scheme seems a little drab for a butterfly. Very nice little Rahi, I may have to build one to put on my shelf.Where did that chest piece come from?
  17. I've always loved Fikou spiders or Bionicle arachnids in general and yours is just too cute, especially with the little scorpion tail. The TNGM really brings it all together..
  18. It was a little vehicle, with a trailor and a speedboat. Probably cost about $10. That's about all I remember.
  19. That's because you never retired, you just stopped showing up. Hey now, give me some credit, I'm not that big of a #####. I actually did step down once I realized my interest in Bionicle was gone. mfuss decided for whatever reason that he didn't want to remove me. That's where I got my lovely title [which I am happy to keep even if it is no longer accurate].
  20. A great idea that should have been implimented long ago. It should definately cut back on confusion as to who is an active staff member and who isn't. I know that even years after I retired I was getting signature reports and requests to start RPGs and such in CoT and I can only imagine it'd be the same for many others. This way nobody's messages go unanswered for long periods of time.Of course I wont pretend that I don't miss having my name show up in blue.
  21. This by far. I loved stacking the Bohrok canisters on their sides t look like the wall of the hive. Really helped with imersion as a kid.The origional Toa canisters were the most useful though. I used to save coins in them.
  22. I remember being in a post count race years and years ago with members who have mostly all been banned by this point. An old mentor of mine slapped me back into my place and I dropped the whole thing. After that I learned to make my posts more valuable and that I don't have to post just because I can.Oh and I used to post in all caps...all the time. It was like I was always shouting. I still can't believe nobody ever told me off for that.
  23. To me you've always been there, like a feature of BZP.
  24. Thanks. I'll probably pop in every now and again to talk about Lego or post something I made. I'm just glad BZP is still alive and kicking, I came back a couple times during the great downtime and was worried this site had finally closed down. I can see that a lot of changes have gone down over the years, but it just looks jumbled. The broader Lego focus looks like it's just been slapped over the old board layout. Not trying to be mean or start any arguments, just saying what I would do in the situation presented to me. That's a great feature, but a messageboard's default skin is the face it presents to the world. A professional skin makes a board look like its leadership is serious about providing a great community. This was one of the many strengths of BZP from my time and of Bionicle Zone way back in the day.The current skin looks like it could very well have come with the board software. It makes the board look cheap and simplistic. After thinking about it last night I did come up with another change I think would be of great benefit to BZP. CoT is and has been a mess since the days when I was active. All the RPGs and games have clogged the discussion up. I'd split the board into at least a CoT Discussion board and a CoT games & RPGs board if not even more boards. It'd look better, be easier to navigate and tt would be a great boon to those members who have long since lost interest in Lego but still stick around for the community
  25. Seems to me that the board needs a full blown makover. -I know BZP has been a Bionicle website for years. I spent many of my teenage years here and I enjoyed every minute of that time [even when dealing with the many Community Messages], but the simple fact is that Bionicle is gone and BZPower needs a new direction if it intends to stick around for another 10 years. I'm not saying get rid of the Bionicle aspect entirely, but set it aside in it's own catagory and focus on the new themes.-This skin is lacks the professional appearance of the BZP I remember and it strongly reminds me of the old BZP imitators. -The board index could stand to be slimmed down and rebuilt to be more intuitive.Of Course I've been innactive for years so what do I know?
