  1. My school is selling/handing out these things called Valentinegrams, and I used the one I purchased to tell myself exactly what you have said in this entry. Hopefully future!me will listen to past!me's advice... ...Although I guess it is even sadder that I ended up sending something to myself...? Ah well. Anyway, well put, and I couldn't agree more.
  2. 16-III. Woo. Happy fun time.

Well, at the very least, Reapers might be a bit more interesting, right?

  3. 16-II. A week late, but it's out now.

      Can't wait for 16-III! A cliffhanger indeed.

  4. So, a dragon just dropped into Ko-Wahi. This is clearly going to end well.
  5. IC: Salamander Salamander stepped outside, not caring to stick around to find out what it was the Matoran wanted to say to Tuara. That was her business, and if she wanted his help for some strange reason, she.... Well, she didn't know where to find him, but that wasn't important. Tuara wouldn't ask for his help. To her, he was just another pyschopath wandering around the island, a weapon capable of only destruction. The only difference up until this pointwas that Salamander had been aimed at the villains instead of the innocents. Yeah, not my business... I do know what is, though... Tuara had last seen Utu in Ko-Wahi, fighting -- and apparently winning against -- some person whose name Salamander did not recognize. Joske Nimil... No, it definitely didn't ring any bells. Of course, that didn't really matter in the end, since Salamander only needed to recognize one name: Utu. Time to go to Ko-Wahi. Again. Joy. OOC: Salamander to Ko-Wahi.
  6. OOC: Eh... Thank you for the interest, but I'd prefer it if that didn't happen. You can feel free to take note of their presence, but this is a private conversation which not only the characters, but even the players (which is to say, Snipe and I), would rather not see interrupted. IC: Salamander "Excellent! Now, then, any recommendations? You are probably more familiar with the menu than I am, so you can tell me what dishes are the best... And feel free to get whatever you like. Money doesn't really matter much to me." Salamander sat down at an empty table and gestured towards the empty chair sitting across from him, a cheerful smile upon his face.
  7. IC: Salamander Salamander gestured at the nearby restaurant in response, his expression brightening visibly as the delicious aroma of food drifted across the street and reached his nostrils. "Well, right now I'm looking to get some food. You hungry? 'Cause I certainly am." She looks... less than thrilled to see me. Ah well.
  8. IC: Salamander Salamander walked through the busy streets of Ta-Koro, noting the new expressions of unease and grief that were worn by the Matoran residents. It was obvious that the village had endured some sort of hardship, but it didn't feel right to stop someone on the street and ask what was going on with all of the delicacy of an over-sized club. It would also be troublesome to explain why he was so locked out of the loop, and that was simply something Salamander did not want to deal with before getting a bite to eat. No... Guess I'll save my questions for later, or for someone I know. Just as he spotted a small restaurant, a slender and familiar figure at the edge of his vision caught his attention. Turning his head to better examine the Toa, Salamander found himself very thankful for his empty stomach and suddenly feeling nearly-but-still-not-quite cheerful. Instinctively, Salamander slipped into his more personable "mode" before calling out to the female Toa of Fire. "Tuara! Just the person I was hoping to find!"
  9. That's definitely something I will need to look into... I could really use a version of Photoshop, even if it is rather old...
  10. (Commander) Commander Shepard, Spacer, Ruthless, Infiltrator. This way, people will be addressing him by name.
  11. OOC: Salamander from Ga-Wahi. IC: Salamander Salamander landed in front of the gate to Ta-Koro, the rough, smoky air refreshing compared to the salt that he had been forced to breathe back in Ga-Wahi. It was common knowledge, but oceans and beaches just weren't fit for a Toa of Fire. No, the only place he truly felt comfortable and nearly felt as if he belonged in was Ta-Wahi. The heat, the smoke, the imposing fortress-like feel of the village, the volcano looming in the distance... To Salamander, all of it seemed fitting for a village of fire. Too bad I'm only here for a short visit... Entering through the main gate, Salamander looked around for a moment before walking towards the nearest member of the Guard. "Hey there, any idea where Tuara is? I need to speak with her as soon as possible." The answer he received did not exactly cause Salamander a great deal of joy: Tuara, along with Angelus, had left for Le-Wahi a few days prior. After making sure to thank the Matoran for the information, Salamander walked away, his mind already trying to process the information he had been given. Why Le-Wahi? It wasn't likely that Tuara would have resumed hunting Utu so soon after the Mark Bearer fiasco, so for what purpose had she gone to the jungle? But before I leave, I think I will get a bite to eat. I'm pretty hungry right now, and all this flying is not helping.
  12. IC: Salamander "Well, that's good to hear... Anyway, if that's all, I think I'll be going. I had no intentions of sticking around for so long, so I'm afraid I really do have to leave now. It was a pleasure meeting the both of you." Salamander turned away, his Mask power already activating and his destination in mind. OOC: Salamander to Ta-Koro.

Probably, but it would only take a glance at the rest of my profile feed to figure it out.

  14. "In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit."

  15. Nah. Homestuck is made for the internet. It would just be weird to suddenly see it on television. I mean, just think about all of the dialogue. What would they do with all of that? We'd get hours upon hours of people just sitting at their computers and talking. That alone would probably get it cancelled. XD
  16. Utu. How can I not vote for Utu? He's Sal's bro-to-be.
  17. IC: Salamander"Yeah... So do I...He certainly deserves that much."Salamander, feeling the conversation was all but over, had begun to consider leaving when Savina spoke up. Despite the timidity in her voice - a trait which usually did nothing but irk him - Salamander felt as if leaving without at least answering her would be a bit too cruel. Restraining his urge to sigh in exasperation, Salamander turned towards Savina with a smile upon his face. "Hi there! Savina, right? How are you doing?" I hate doing this... Hate hate hate hate hate. Such a pain...
  18. IC: Salamander"Heh... just putting a friend to rest. It's not much, but it's all I can do for him at this point."Salamander pointed towards the blaze, and more specifically at the sword beginning to glow a bright red from within it. As if recalling an incident from the past, he stared at the scene in silence for nearly a full minute before seemingly remembering that there were other people nearby, and that said people were waiting for him to introduce himself at that. Salamander shook Malik's hand, his eyes quickly resuming their old habit of estimating the fighting capability of the young Toa who stood before him."Sorry... Anyway, my name is Sal. Sal Lacertus. Pleasure to meet you."The use of the same alias he had given Venator caused Salamander to feel a twinge of guilt, but he pushed it aside and out of sight as quickly as he could. It was just a name, no need to become so sentimental about everything.
  19. IC: Salamander"Hey there!"Salamander briefly considered ignoring the voice calling for him and instead taking to the skies in order to resume hunting for Utu as soon as possible, but he decided against it almost as quickly as the idea itself had occurred to him. His usual attitude towards social interaction would have to change or at least soften somewhat. If that meant stepping outside of his comfort zone from time to time, so be it.What mattered was the first step. The first acknowledgement that all those things he had said were indeed true, that he was indeed serious about becoming a hero.It all came down to whether or not he would respond to whoever it was that had called out to him.It was a very serious moral dilemma. No, wait. This is stupid."Hey, what's up? Can't say I expected to see anyone else all the way out here..."
  20. 15-I is finished. Yay.

White is a chick. I didn't see that coming at all, nope, totally didn't.

      I love Red's reaction though.

It was heavily hinted at towards the very end of 13-II, but never explicitly confirmed until now. It is possible to have figured out before this, so at this point the reveal was mostly intended for the rest of the characters.

      Ah yes... Red. XD

  21. They indicate whether or not that particular member is online. If it is gold they are online, and gray means they are offline.
  22. You guys are so mean to always be forgetting that Sal is an expy too.He has rights. And you're stepping all over them with your big smelly anti-expy feet. :cNow go give him a hug.
  23. OOC: Salamander from Le-Wahi.IC: SalamanderThe flames licked at the silver armor as smoke curled up into the sky, the dark plumes creating a rift in the otherwise bright blue sky. A weathered sword stood in the center of the blaze, its blade partially hidden by the chest it had impaled. It wasn't much, but Salamander had come to pay his respects to Venator and, more importantly, to apologize. He watched in silence as the flames continued to eat away at the Toa of Ice, a feeling of remorse permeating the air. To Salamander, it felt as if he was not the only one mourning the loss of Venator; the nearby Rahi, the trees, the ground, the island, and even the sword that had been forced to take the life of its owner all seemed to regret that he was no longer among the living, that he could no longer be around to help influence the island towards a brighter path. There was too much darkness on the island, from the corrupt Toa that wandered its surface to the malevolent presence rumored to lurk deep underground. The loss of even one staunchly good Toa was a heavy loss indeed, or so Salamander wanted to believe. He wanted to believe that Venator had been needed, that he would be missed somehow, someway. As it was... in the time since Salamander had abandoned Venator, not a single soul had come across the clearing in which their final battle had taken place. Nobody, be they Toa or Matoran or Turaga or Skakdi or Vortixx or some other manner of being, had realized that a Toa of Ice was missing from the world.Except for Salamander.I can't replace you and you can't be brought back, so there is no point in trying to accomplish what you set out to do or doing anything in your place. What I can do is help this island, albeit in my own way.I'm sorry Venator. I really am. But it's time for me to go.Salamander walked away, feeling as if a chapter of his life had just come to a close. However, he also felt as if a new chapter was waiting just around the corner, one that would be far better than the last and would give him the chance to be remembered for something other than mindless violence. It was time to go.Goodbye... Venator.
  24. There right now. Worth it. Totally worth it.
