Where can I play "Mask of Creation" mobile game?
Chronicler06 posted a topic in Bionicle DiscussionJust over a month ago, I got my very first smart phone. Once everything had been properly set up, one of the first things I wanted to do was play the two mobile games from Bionicle G2: Mask of Creation (from 2015) and Mask of Control (from 2016). I was able to find the latter and install it on my mobile device, but I couldn't find the former anywhere. Apparently, that game was removed from the app store at some point. Does anyone know where else I can go to play the Mask of Creation game? If so, would the other mobile game, Mask of Control, also be found there? (I ask the second question mostly for the sake of future access because if the first game was removed only a year after it came out, I fear the same might soon happen for the other one.)
Thoughts on Gen 2 Bionicle Mobile Games
Toa Smoke Monster posted a topic in Bionicle DiscussionSo the questions in this topic are simple: what did you think of the Bionicle: Mask of Creation and Bionicle: Mask of Control mobile games and would you recommend either of them to someone. I've personally never played them before, as I didn't have a device that could download them until about a month ago. I have thought about getting one or both of them since I do have an Iphone now though, but I haven't made up my mind yet. Maybe this poll will help me decide. So, what did you all think of these games?
What ever happened to that 14k gold Mask of Creation?
Jobber posted a topic in Bionicle DiscussionWhen Bionicle was first revealed at SDCC, they showed off all the solid gold masks including the Mask of Creation. After they gave away most the masks, the MoCr just vanished and was never mentioned since.
A young Artakha ready for battle
Foolery posted a topic in Bionicle-Based CreationsI tried to follow Greg's description, but it wasn't working so I did this instead - mostly inspired by the Mask of Creation itself. This is my first MOC since Bionicle's return, and it was fun trying to fuse multiple building systems and still have a coherent outcome. It's a fairly straight-forward build, formed around a shadow matoran torso - which I always felt had wasted potential. Feedback welcome, if you want a closer look at anything let me know and I can take some more pictures.
The Lost Masks Have Shrines?
aldero posted a topic in Bionicle Storyline & TheoriesI'm sure that someone has probably picked up on this already, but the fact that the Masks of Creation, Control, and Ultimate Power have little pedestals dedicated to them sparked my interest. Why do they have pedestals? Who built them? I have a theory. The Protectors Hid Them Away The Protectors are obviously Turaga figures in the Generation 2 story, and they seem like the kinds of elders that know pretty much everything. So, I propose that the Protectors found two masks in Ekimu and Makuta's abandoned forge, and found Ekimu's body and the Mask of Ultimate Power nearby. They later kept their location secret to protect the villagers. If the Protectors are so loyal to the Prophecy of Heroes (which details the threat of the Skull Spiders), they would have hidden the immensely powerful masks away from anyone who isn't a destined hero. I have potential evidence from the Prophecy of Heroes story episode: "On the mythical island of Okoto, ancient masks were hidden away, for only the strongest to find and claim." Notice how the sentence states that the masks were hidden away, not lost. Another thing of note would be that only the strongest are to claim them, which is definitely referring to the Toa. The Turaga of G1 even did this. They scattered the Toa Stones all over the island of Mata Nui for Takua to find and summon the Toa with. Let me know what you think of this. Sure, this isn't groundbreaking news, but it's a little something.
BIONICLE: Mask of Creation mobile game discussion
ARROW404 posted a topic in Bionicle DiscussionI don't know if there's enough interest in the game to warrant a thread, but here's to hoping. We can discuss records, tactics, advice, and anything else that comes to mind regarding this game. To begin with, here's my personal record, which is the highest I've seen to date: http://i.imgur.com/Pe9Xf96.jpg And for those less well versed in the game, I've also come up with a list of tips and tricks that have helped me get to this point. COMBOS ARE EVERYTHING! Have you ever swept your way through countless Skull Spiders and had no more than 500,000 points to show for it? If so, I bet you probably lost your mask a few times along the way, right? The thing is, with each addition to your combo meter, the amount of points you get from each hit goes up, so that by the time you’re at 500x (which I’ve only achieved once, so no worries if you don’t make it there) you’ll getting 5 thousand points for every Skull Spider you smash! USE YOU DOUBLE SPECIAL! You all know what your special is. That box in the bottom right that charges up as you lay down the hurt, allowing you to use an elemental AoE attack. Did you know you can charge it up twice? I didn’t until a week or so after I started playing. When double-charged, your special has increased range, and is immediately followed by a quick dash where your Toa destroys 5 Skull Spiders at random on the map. MIND YOU, you are not invincible while dashing, and sometimes you’ll end up just unlucky enough to get hit by a spider’s attack in the middle of it! FERAL ONUA IS GOD! I’ll admit, I haven’t tried any other Toa except for Onua after having beaten LOSS on each of them, but between regular and Feral Onua, Feral is clearly superior. At first glance they seem exactly the same, but in fact, regular Onua’s single special is slower than his double special, while Feral’s is the reverse. Just so you know, a slow special is a good thing. Why? Because during the brief period you’re invincible while using it, more Spiders can wander into its range while you’re bringing down the hammer, obviously increasing the number of Spiders you take down with it. Pair that up with the increased range, and automatic rush of a Double Special, and you have the most devastating attack possible. DON’T BE AFRAID TO USE YOUR SINGLE SPECIAL, though! Sometimes, when you’re surrounded and haven’t fully charged up your second special, the first is still the way to go! This is particularly true if the Toa you play as has a slower single special. DON’T FORGET THE PROTECTOR! For the first week of using this game, I never even touched the Protector button. As it turns out, though, it’s a very useful defensive tool. If you’re enduring a volley of Skull Spider attacks and don’t think you’ll be able to jump out, hit that button! The spiders’ attacks will be interrupted, and sometimes they’ll even get stunned. Generally save this attack for when there are large crowds of Spiders nearby. This can also get through spiky shields. NEVER STAY IN ONE PLACE! This here is the biggest mistake you can make, and a sure-fire way to lose a combo! Aim for the farthest Skull Spider you can, jump around, and never linger for longer than a second! This will keep Spiders from bunching up to pelt you with an unstoppable volley, keeping them spread thin so you can jump around more, and more effectively avoid their stings. NEVER, EVER JUMP INTO A CROWD OF SPIDERS! You will be killed, period. ALWAYS JUMP INTO A CROWD OF SPIDERS IF YOU HAVE A SPECIAL READY TO DETONATE! If you hit that attack right after, you’ll be immune to their attacks and catch them all in your attack, racking up 10-20 more points to your combo! DON’T BE AFRAID TO JUST FOCUS ON ONE SPIDER! Full-ringed spiders take a couple of hits to take down. It’s alright to just wail on one until it dies every so often. The advantage of this is it keep your moving in a straight line, generally away from danger. PREDICT YOUR ENEMIES’ MOVEMENTS! For the most part, Skull Spiders have very predictable movement patterns. They run at you, and fire a bolt. Once you get the feel for how they act, you can use this to your advantage, ducking and weaving as you see fit. IF YOU LOSE A COMBO OF MORE THAN 60, RESTART. Once you get up to that level, spiders will be popping up too quickly for you to get back up to speed again. It’s possible to recover from near the beginning of the round, but past a certain point, you’re better off starting over. SPIKY SHIELDS = MORE SPREAD! You have to hate those spiky shields, but there IS one good thing about it. They can’t move. Once you get far enough into the round that the spiders start to create spikes, they’ll suddenly grow more dispersed, and are less likely to congregate around you. The downside to this is your Specials won’t be taking down as many of them, however, but you can at least use your Double Specials and Protector to take down some pesky shields now and them. STOP THE GAME AFTER A FEW LOSSES! Repeated failure will just make you fail worse. Take a 5-15 minute break after losing a few times, then pick it up again. The game will also lag less.
Takhamavahu posted a topic in Bionicle-Based CreationsAlthough there's no confirmation that the new Mask of Creation is necessarily any relation to the Artakha's established mask, it's good enough for me to use Breeze's helmet as a MOC facsimile. And now that the scarcity of Sand Green pieces is no match for my having finally figured how to make parts on Lego Digital Designer be whatever colour I want, I present, Artakha: In space with his hammer: Without his hammer: Close up of the foot for detail: The Hand of Artakha: (get it?) Aderia posted a topic in Short StoriesThere are two sides to every fight. The winning side, and the losing side. After a fateful clash of the titans for the control of Creation itself, two beings draw the conflict to a close once and for all. ₪҉₪ An anguished howl splits through the air like lightning. Curses rumble from the heart of a battle-torn titan like thunder. The great lord Karzahni lies immobilized and broken on the rugged field of battle. He is paralyzed by pain, betrayed by the weakness of his own flesh and armor. He can only watch. Watch as his prize is taken by the very being he had once considered his only friend. Even more than that, his brother. But no more. He no longer knows Arthaka. This revelation is solidified when that same traitor turns to face Karzahni. More curses are spat from Karzahni’s mouth as he almost literally does not recognize his brother. Arthaka now wears the Great Mask of Creation. Karzahni sees red. He does not know if this is his own imagining or the blood red sun setting over their barren battleground. Arthaka regards his fallen brother with something akin to pity. The last thing in the universe that Karzahni wants is pity. And least of all from Arthaka. With one last effort, a cry of absolute rage fills his lungs. Even though releasing that primal cry of fury sends agonizing lances of fiery pain through Karzahni’s very soul, it gives him some satisfaction that he has been heard. Finally, the wounds of the two-titan war catch up to Karzahni, and pull him sympathetically into oblivion. ₪҉₪ When Karzahni emerges from that merciful slumber, he is still lying on the same field. But now he can move, although not without pain. Beside him, a Great Kanohi Mask is resting. Instinctively, with a vitality almost reminiscent of the animal-like baying of his earlier defeat, Karzahni slams the mask on his face. His entire being drinks up the power seeping from the Kanohi. Karzahni revels in that power. Especially after his near fatal combat of so recently, he loves the sense of control the mask gives him. He is almost completely given to this newfound strength when he notices a stone tablet, almost the same color as the earth, that was lying beneath the mask. Groping for the tablet, Karzahni reads: If your fantasies came true Clashed with your reality Would you fall to fiction’s whims? Or be pawn to what is real? After you’ve traveled your chosen path Could you harvest no regrets of the past? Who knows how many forks we will face? Who knows our minds, now versus then? Would a simple change cause us to look Back on our lives with one different wish? Kanohi Olisi ₪҉₪
