Hapori Tohu
Christian Faber has been updating his blog recently with some interesting teases about his next project. First he posted a teaser poster indicating the project name is 'Rebel Nature.' Then there was Escape RIG21, a teaser for the upcoming app. Finally, we got the Rebel Nature story manifest hinting at what the project is about. It all seems very interesting, and I can't wait to find out more! View the full article Quote News Forums Q&A
Akavakaku
Yes! Yes! Actual story and setting! And a shockingly dystopian setting by Lego's standards. I realllllllllly hope this is the new constraction. dotcom
Yes! Yes! Actual story and setting! And a shockingly dystopian setting by Lego's standards. I realllllllllly hope this is the new constraction.None of the things that have been put up on that blog have linked this project to Lego, I think. It seems to me like a personal project of his? Either way, certainly interesting. Edited May 8, 2014 by dotcom
Akavakaku
...oh...well then. Sorry, I got mixed up between this and the predicted new constraction theme. Matoro Zeliph
I could be stretching it. But could this be a reboot to Bionicle? Like if Bionicle was "modern-metrunui-ish-er"? The picture with the 'EasyLife' drink bottle design looks like it would come right out of Bionicle...[Edit]Wait a minute. They it's not in the matoran-alphabet! Darn! nvmOh well, I'll be looking forward to this! Xykros
I think it's going to be a present-day or a post apocolyptic reboot of Bionicle set on Earth. The metal canister is probably an old toa canister that some street punk sprayed some graffiti on.
fishers64
It looks like a personal project for Mr. Faber. One of his comment seemed to imply that it was entirely his own thing, since he didn't have to be secret about it, and the fact that he admits to being the founder of the company behind it would seem to be telling. I'm not sure what it is, though. Some sort of movie series, animation, comic stuff? It would seem to have an art component and a story component, but not sure how that fits together so far. 3 Quote Hero Factory RPG | Bionicle Mafia XXIX: Storyline & Theories

Cambion
you guys need to stop freaking out about the "possibility" of this being the new constraction line he hasn't mentioned lego even once it's not the new constraction line the question is, though, what is it
JAG18
Whatever this is, I'm quite intrigued by it and I can't wait to learn more about this new project from one of Bionicle's creators.
Sir Kohran
The new line isn't out until next year, right? The first half of this year seems a bit early to be making anything about it public.

Lenny7092
Hmm... Well, the pictures look cool, but they don't look Lego-ish, but I hope that this new thing be a new contraction theme or a new Bionicle thing that can bring our beloved Bionicle back. I can tell by looking at the picture where it seems to be a Toa Canister having some graffiti being drawn by someone, but I am just saying my theories. Quote I like Lego, Bionicle, and Hero Factory! Akavakaku
Guys please calm down. I realize now that I totally jumped to a crazy conclusion. There is a very, very low chance that this is connected to Lego or Bionicle in any way. Kopekemaster
Well, I reported it to BZP, but since they didn't post anything about it, I'll just say it here.Faber updated his blog with more Rebel Nature stuff a few days ago, including a new picture and a more in-depth description about RN.tl;dr: it's pretty much official that it isn't by LEGO. 2 Quote My Writing Blog (more writing coming soon!) fishers64
“Rebel Nature” is a powerful and intriguing story with direct reference to our current environmental situation on planet earth and especially in our oceans. The story gets its basic fuel from the conflict between balanced natural evolution and speeded technological progress. The aim is to create the first girl Eco superhero who acts on new and emphatic morals and ethics of the 21st century instead of the values of post 2WW that most other super-heroes pursue. The moral of Rebel Nature is “balance and evolution” instead of “victory” understanding that good and evil is relative sizes and that winning is not the goal. The lead character of Rebel Nature is a young girl called Res Waveborn and she is a very different superhero with an unusual childhood that sets her apart from every other human on earth. Res’ childhood teaches her to act when everybody else adapts and teaches her to pursue balance instead of victory in the conflicts she encounters. Rebel Nature is a personal story and journey of a girl who grows up in the most unusual of all places with the most unusual foster parent. The audience can travel together with her as she grows up. Rebel Nature will unfold as Res discovers the surrounding world, following her destiny. Her personal goal is to find the truth about her parents herself and their idealistic project. Her superhero goal becomes to unify humans with their own robotic creations and seek a new balance and understanding with nature. It is about time because nature is radically changing to answer the human effect. Rebel Nature doesn’t try to moralize. It delivers great action, big emotions mind-blowing locations and a peek into a possible near future. I'll reserve judgement until I see this "story" for myself, but right now this is starting to sound like Maximum Ride: The Final Warning *cough* *cough* and I have some problems with this moral idea structure (Eh, moral concept of balence, not "winning", etc, is a moral idea, which contradicts the idea that it is not about moralizing, to start), since it might not be good enough for a strong theme. It looks kind of anime too, not saying that's a bad thing. He might be good at creating story concepts, but I'd like to see the writer he's hired (did he hire one? ) talk about this before I make any further judgments. I'm impressed with the art I've seen so far for the most part. Quote Hero Factory RPG | Bionicle Mafia XXIX: Storyline & Theories
