For now this is all I am able to do.IC: Several more exploration teams had been sent to the large landmass to the east. You can get some, but not enough to drink at the family meal or make butter out of. Maybe one but certainly not both. What, I live around horse people, you can't do that without picking a few things up.

OOCStans tended to have several in the olden days :PBut yeah, I know, we've had to take several centuries of specifically breeding cows just to get good milking cows. I figure that your average Stan horse owner probably won't own a specifically bred milking horse (I figure something similar to what happened to cows could happen to horses, if admittedly not as efficiently), seeing as a Stan horse owner will be more concerned about the horse being able to pull stuff around more than anything else. The horse milk/butter/other dairy products would probably come from farms specifically dedicated to farming milk and the like, much like we have today.

IC: Avalon"Well, on the matter of our barbaric traditions, marriage among royalty such as myself isn't simply a matter of love; it can have enormous political significance. For example, I am from the city of Acheron, as is my entire line. Thus, I am expected to marry someone prominent from another city, likely Avalon, this city, or the city the Stans landed in, Galitea." Ande paused. "Speaking of which, I'm considering opening Galitea as an international port city; your ships could dock there, and we could expand the airport to fit your airplanes. Do you like this idea?"OOC: To note, if it's not from a cow, the term "Dairy" is inaccurate. I guess "Equestrian" would be the horse's equivalent.

IC [Anitalia]"Ah, political marriages." The ambassador raised an eyebrow. "A bit of an alien concept; that hasn't happened in Standast since long before the formation of the United Republic. You have to excuse the priestess for her outburst, she's a Priestess of Fenera. They're not exceptionally known for their open-mindness about marriage and how to go about it. An international port city would be an interesting idea though; there would need to be capacities for supersonic aircraft, to facilitate travel from Standast to Astaria. Our air lines are rather generally used by the rich; the train network has been plenty sufficient for travel. Supersonic travel is the preferred option, as such."

OOCI doubt Astaria is going get a crusade launched at it. With the Order of the Starborn in power, the Empress is most likely going be accepted as at least partially an archangel, which means Stans will in general steer clear of Astaria (minus traders for 'dat pineapple) and leave it at that. Same will prolly go for Anitalia and Fillon.

IC [standast]The Stans weren't exactly sure what to do with the foreigners, so it was a week before the Fillons left their vessel, an escort of a dozen military personal letting three off. They would be escorted to a nearby building that had been prepared for talks. A couple linguists were present, and housing had been prepared for the three Fillons. OOC: I think we've mastered the art of the awkward first contact.IC: The crew of the patrol craft decided that, since the strangers had gone to one-word responses now, it was possible that they were no longer speaking in code. The gesture to the boat seemed to indicate that this new gibberish was, in fact, the name of the odd ship. Gesturing proudly to the patrol craft, the crew member tasked with speaking to the strangers replied with "Årvåkenhet," thinking this an appropriate reply. The crew member didn't stop to think why the strangers were naming their ship as their first useful bit of conversation, nor did she pause to consider that, with the patrol craft's name emblazoned across its bow, the introduction of the Årvåkenhet was a tad redundant.
