Hapori Tohu Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 It's that time again, and The Lego Group has released their annual financial report for the first half of 2012, and the stats are quite impressive. Their share in the global toy market has increased to 8%, which is roughly 1% more than the first half of last year. Growth has increased worldwide with the largest area in Asia and the smallest in Europe. Oh, and apparently Ninjago sold better than expected. kalhiki Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Makes me wonder if they're going to maybe squeeze a bit more of Ninjago in before it ends. Probably not, but one can hope.Good to see the successfulness. Especially of Friends. Even though I'm not a fan of it (those colors hurt my eyes), it's cool to see succsessful ideas.Kalhiki Quote You're Doomed, Rayman!Boy! I just love it when my computer doesn't tell me when my battery is getting low!(that's sarcasm, by the way)
WeatherDragon Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Hopefully LEGO will do great things with the increased money. Quote "Remember the Heart of NINJAGO."I might eat you if you get too close >:3
FrozenFlash Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 It's awesome to see how successful some of those themes can be. Good job, Lego! Quote
Obsessionist Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 I love hearing this kind of stuff, it makes sure that Lego will be around for a long, long time. Quote
xccj Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Really, mention Ninjago in the headline but not Lego Friends?Anyway, interesting to read. I'm sure Lego is happy that they have all these obsessive fans who'll buy their products even in bad economic times. :music: Quote My BZPower Stories Dark Core--Kulagi's Kanoka--A Shadow's Contrivance--Mystery on Keli-Nui--BZ-Koro: To Bring Back Bionicle
Tenebrae Invictus Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Wow, that was an interesting report. I'm surprised that they are going up in sales despite the harder times. Fantastic for Lego. Quote Up, down, turn around, please don't let me hit the ground
Gatanui Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 (edited) Source: Mentos Fruit. Lol, never thought I'd see that one day. :PThese numbers are highly impressive. I hope this successful trend will continue long enough! I'm particularly glad about Ninjago's success which, while not necessarily meaning Ninjago will be carried on for longer than originally planned, will surely encourage LEGO to try extensive story themes more often. ~Mentos Fruit Edited September 5, 2012 by Mentos Fruit Quote - Gata Please don't use my avatar or signature without permission, thanks!
Toa Smoke Monster Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 It's great that Lego is doing so well with their themes. Hopefully they can keep it up in the coming years. Quote Everyone is one choice away from being the bad guy in another person's story.
fishers64 Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Well, good to know Lego isn't going out of business. That would be bad on quite a few levels. Quote Hero Factory RPG | Bionicle Mafia XXIX: Storyline & Theories
