  1. Ooh these are quite nice actually. Congrats to the creator for getting this selected and made, because they look great.
  2. People don't do this normally? I was a terrible writer back in the day, but at least I did stuff like this. This is basic ease-of-access stuff! Welp, didn't expect to appear so early on...like, character #2. Intrigued to see how this progresses, and I do mean beyond satisfying my inflated ego. It's an interesting idea and I'm impressed with the response you were able to get in your blog entry for characters. The difficulty with member participation I've found in the past is with how much the members try to wrest some control of their characters, influencing the author's plan late in the piece. Like, with the rules you imposed, it's greatly limited the influence of the participating member's on your story, which I think is correct. I think you've probably set the right balance from the get go and I know you're one of the writers on here that is probably best suited for tackling the logistics of such a project. Not sure why I went on this tangent, maybe just musing on how I would have done things differently with my own work. Anyway, I'll be reading to see what happens as things go on.
  3. Why not...my as well just use the character I've had for basically my whole time here...with some changes due to your rules. Name: PhyoohriiArea of Expertise: Disk forger (though "expert" is too kind a descriptor...a low-level disk forger). Also a passion for Matoran society/culture.Mask: Since Avohkii is out, then...oh let's just say Kaukau, since I can't think of any masks close to the powers I'm after (memory).Weapon / Element: Two staves that channel elemental power (Sonics). Shaped like Bordakh's.Side: Good at heart...which leads to the fatal flaw.Motivation: Finding a purpose, while also doing what he believes to be right...which leads to the fatal flaw.Fatal Flaw: Impressionable, this is what I mean by good at heart. Can be made to do bad if he is convinced it is the right thing, which can be done rather easily. Other Details: Dry sense of humour. Quite hard on himself, less so on others. Respect of others important.

    MNOGII Completed!

I was able to beat it 2 or 3 years ago using a download version of it. I was also able to do it "legitimately" without upping the skills in code, but that was only because I was (purposely) using a slow computer, making the skill games much easier, especially stamina and strength. It was strangely rewarding completing, though I always loved this game because of the added Matoran culture and so on.

    New iTunes

Not being able to access the store without closing the program is the best new feature. But yeah it looks and feels really slick, which is great. Also loop does still exist, but only if you go Controls>Repeat>All/Once. Which is stupid, but it's not something I ever use so I don't care.
  6. Nice, I've always been a fan of that colour.

I've been out of the whole LEGO game for so long now, it would be a big jump to go back into it after seven years. The story itself sounds alright, and will probably follow that in the background for nostalgia reasons, but yeah. Not for me any more. Some of the sets do look pretty great though, I'll be curious about how the functions work, and in case anyone wants my two cents, I don't really have any issue with the masks or anything, I think they're all pretty nice re-imaginings. I'm somewhat amused that Guurahk's staff is in a couple of sets after all these years.

Rebooting probably was the best idea, but I think I'll sit this out this time. That animation was pretty great though, I hope they do more of those. Have fun peeps new and old!
  10. For the record, first one of these since 2008.
  11. It has to be Click due to it being the most manipulative character. Or one of the Sand Stalkers from Riddle of the Great Beings? It's definitely the latter because it came from the story with Great Beings in the name. Rock solid reasoning.

    If it's true

All I hope is that it causes a resurgence in parody comics like TRAFOTT. And/or more BAC comics...
  16. Absolutely, particularly the movements of the Kohrak, some really fun ideas. Also I'm impressed with the amount of knowledge there was in this, as like Pohatu I hadn't memorised the Krana. But also the little callbacks to MNOLG animations as well as MOL I believe, plus the TLR music as well. Always enjoyed Vrahno's work in whatever he's done, but this just about tops all of that.
  17. Hm? Even sets that aren't going to be sold at retail have to be shipped to distribution facilities to await sale. Beyond that, there's a very good excuse—offering a "fairer" price (as opposed to one that's in line with the prices of other Lego sets in Australia) would consequently devalue the more expensive retail sets. Lego prices are not based solely on production and distribution costs, but on perception of value and on what individual markets can bear. In the case of Australia, the country has a higher average income than the U.S., and the cost of non-Lego goods is generally higher as well. So Lego adjusts the prices accordingly. It's unfortunate for people who live there, but that's basic economics for you. Yeah, figured it had something to do with this (forgot the term for this, used to know). Checks out with inflation figures. Ah well.
