  1. Note: Knowledge of Kingdom Hearts helps Clavis is a mysterious Toa that arrived in Okoto soon after Tahu and his team. His origins are unknown, but he controls the element of lightning, wields a Keyblade, and wears a mysterious mask that is able to change shape and powers at will. He tends to keep to himself, however, Gali stumbled upon him one day... and he seemed to be having a conversation with his mask... His armor also seems to adapt to any new environment. Current Version: 1.5 Armor Composition: Adaptive Protosteel Operating System: Mata Nui ---------------------------------------------------------- Toa Element: Lightning Default Mask: Kanohi Ignika (shaped as glowing, golden Mask of Stone) Weaponry: Skull Shocker Keyblade v1.5, Electro Shield v1.5, Shoulder Cannon (formerly), Dual Electric Blades/Hoverboard Armor v1.0 (Adapted for Skull Spiders) Unequipped v1.0 Clavis Equipped v1.0 Clavis Skull Shocker Keyblade v1.0 Electro Shield v1.0 Dual Electric Blades/Hoverboard Upon entering the graveyard in Okoto, Clavis was infected by Kulta's evil energy. The Ignika ejected itself and Mata Nui fought with an infected Clavis. Infected Clavis with evil energy mask Armor v1.5 (Adapted for Skeleton Opponents) Equipped v1.5 Clavis

  3. Because I haven't been on here in ages. And I feel I've done some decent work, and improved a bunch into the biomech, since I have. I finished my HB Toa "Metru" last month (after a year!). Their costumes were inspired by steampunk-ish versions of their respective professions. In chronological order: My Non-Canonical Toa of Ice Bionicle Art Squad Challenges: Flora & Fauna of Okoto (Couldn't post a thumbnail for these next two) Video Game Characters in the MU Enjoy.
  4. I haven't yet seen a topic about this pop up yet, and I just bought the new skull series sets, and have been wondering if this color change is important or will in any way play into the story. this is also a theory forum, so I would love to hear some theories as well. personally, I think the masks are now"tainted ",and it affects their personalities when they get it back.
  5. Ponuvatron by Brickobotface, on Flickr Designed for strength, this MOC's blades are around the same weight as a Toa Nuva (2002). This is my entry to the July Flickr Contest. Gallery: https://www.flickr.com/photos/134131110@N07/sets/72157656107642768
  6. I'm trying to practice a bit with my graphic tablet, so I made a quick sketch of Kopaka and colored it. He's always been my favourite character. And he works alone. Note that lines are FAR from clean, might work on it in another moment but I kinda like as it is. I'm trying to reach a good balance between human proportions and those of the set. Click the thumbnail for the full image <-- Click me Like it? Don't like it? Have some tips? Leave a comment EDIT: Here's the original version with a longer neck, thanks for the tips!
  7. So I have a brand new, unboxed and unopened Toa Matoro Mahri, I found this in a box of christmas presents I had in my basement and how it got there I don't know as I am a huge Bionicle fan. The plastic box itself isn't damaged and seems to be mint, the cardboard on the back is also in great condition it still has the sellotape on it and doesn't seem to have ever been opened. But I am very curious as to how much this could actually be worth, I can't seem to find it on Ebay(I know I should probably try and check more places but I'm lazy). So I would appreciate it very much if someone could tell me how much this would be worth. Thanks. P.s Sorry if this is in the wrong Forum section I didn't know were elso to put it.
  8. An ancient Toa of Iron who watched over Nala Nui long ago. While he has not been seen in ages, the forges of time have not yet fully wrought this hero’s journey… Flickr This guy was originally an Inika build that I made several years ago. I decided to revamp him recently and added some bronze to his color scheme. He's also my entry into this month's Flickr contest. I'd love to hear your thoughts!
  9. Link: http://skygazer17.deviantart.com/art/Bionicle-Sketchdump-1-541710318 Arghhh I don't know how to thumbnail, if someone knows what to do please tell me. Other than that, here are some of my human designs of Bionicle characters. On the top left is Toa Gali, Lewa, and Kopaka. I deemed it necessary that Gali have center-parted hair and a regal look. Sorry if Kopaka looks a lot like Sokka. I was going to give him really long hair, but I wanted to give him a much edgier look. Top right: Toa Nokama and Turaga Nokama. I like the idea of her having cornrows. I don't know why. Anyways, she aged well. (I really want to draw the Toa Metru by the way. I think that would be fun.) Center top: Hahli and Macku. I imagine Hahli as being very petite but strong, whereas Macku is tall and lanky. But hey, somehow it works and they form a great Kohli team. Personality-wise, Macku is more impulsive and sassy, and Hahli is quiet and loyal. Center: Takua, Macku, and Hewkii. In my mind, Takua has always had a crush on Macku, but Macku falls for Hewkii. Who always makes it a point to be shirtless. So every Kohli game is a secretly a show-off battle between these guys. Hope you like Macku's flower and lei from the end of the Bionicle online game Bottom left: This takes place right after Takua and Jaller leave Ta-Koro riding on Pewku. Yeah. And about Takua's design: I really wanted to make him look young and youthful. I always imagined him as a boy because of his curious nature and adventurous spirit. He's a goofball, but deep down he has a very serious soul. I mean, who gets exiled from their own city? That's so sad.
  10. We know what the sets of 2015 are: the Toa, the Protectors, and the skull villains. But, what about 2016? What do you want for wave one, wave two, and the small sets? Personally,I want more villains in wave two. Makuta is a must, in my mind. We saw a glimpse of him in Episode 0 (that's what I like to call the episode titled "The Legend"), but I want to see more of him in the role of the supreme villain. As for wave one, The Toa again, but more in tune with their elements. Lewa has more jungle-esque pieces, Gali has a flowing water motif, Tahu has more flame, etc. As for small sets? Villagers. Make them small. Barebones, not much armor. Little to no tools. Why? So we can have 12. 12 little villagers with their 6 leaders. 2 per element. We've seen villagers in episodes 0 and 2, but what if we actually got a few of them? That'd be a whole lot of world building for what, 5 bucks per set? See, 2001 didn't have the same issue we do now. They had villagers (McToran) and leaders (Turaga), plus their heroes, the Toa. That gave the Toa extra incentive to save the island. Now, all we have is the Protectors, and that's less interesting. What do you guys think?
  11. If Generation 2 of Bionicle runs for a few more years, we will inevitably see another team of six elementally powered heroes guide us through another year. I mean, we only tagged along with the Toa Mata/Nuva for three years until we were thrown back one thousand years with the will-be Turaga in G1. But my question is: who's going to be in this Toa team? Idea #1: The Protectors I had a few ideas that rushed to my head when this topic came to mind and the first one was the Protectors. From an attachment and engagement standpoint, it would make the most sense as the Protectors have already been named and their characters have developed. Whether their story will be prequel-driven or not is up to you, the reader. Idea #2: Bingzak and Company So, we know about the character of Bingzak and that he will be some sort of lead for one of the books... and that's about it. Again, similar to G1, we might end up following a team of powered-up characters that we are familiar with and have grown an attachment to. Granted, we still have five or so more characters to develop, but just Bingzak would be fine, if not better. The story for the year could follow Toa Bingzak and five strangers, with the trials and tribulations bringing the six together. That could be the year that builds on the virtue of Unity. Idea #3: One Of The Toa Okoto Leading A New Team This one is pretty self-explanatory. Insert some tragic event that separates one Toa (I'll just use Kopaka as a placeholder) from the rest of his beloved team and we can have the Lesovikk-centric story we never had (I know about Dreams of Destruction, hold your Rahi). Kopaka would be in shambles after this tragedy, but would have to resurface to father a new team of Toa. Not only would we experience a dark twist in the story, we would watch Kopaka go through an arc of recovering from grief and learning how to guide and support people in lieu of shutting them out. If you ask me, this would be my preferred option. But those were just my suggestions. Tell me what you think!
  12. From the icy peak: Toa Araun, Master of Ice So this is Araun, my self MOC. His story as a MOC is far from mundane. Originally, I had got a white Kanohi Hau in a mask pack when I was younger. I imagined this mask to belong to another Toa of Ice, who was originally called Aaron - yes, a human name. However, before I got the chance to build "Aaron", a school peer stole the mask. I was distraught. Flash forward to a year ago, when I was making a wage and had a debit card at my disposal. I suddenly remembered the plight of my white Hau, and what I had in store for it. I hit up Bricklink, and lo and behold, the mask was mine once more. Enamoured with the prospect of G2, I build the first version of Araun last year using the CCBS. It felt good to finally have him in the plastic, even if he wasn't as originally planned. I used a gearbox design pioneered by ToaLeewan (Which I like to call the LW1), and used blades from the second - and last - wave of Chima CHI figures to give his weapons a very ornamental look. When 2015 rolled around, Araun got a little upgrade. Introducing: Araun V1.5 Bulked up with broader shoulders, Araun's character was really starting to fill out. However, those 5M shells over the knees were only place-holders for the new armour addons that came along with the G2 sets. As soon as those came out, I could build Araun V2 - the current version. As you can see, this version's mask is painted white, so as to be in keeping with the current sets. However, he still uses the exact same LW1 gearbox as the first version had hooked up to his shoulders. To me, Araun feels really finalised, as if he were a set I bought in the store - and I wouldn't have him any other way. But, he wasn't quite the Toa I imagined when I was younger... This was. While now he's been decked out with period-appropriate sockets and has the Mata head and gears of old, the original "Aaron" that I imagined back in 2003 is finally here with me. I'll end this with a couple more photos of the current version of Araun. Enjoy! This is the first version of his G2 mask. I painted another MoF lately, which has a much slicker paintjob than this one. Here he is from the back. Here he is in his signature pose. Araun V1.5 wearing the Kanohi Vahi. A golden doppleganger of Araun V1 that I built for... No particular reason.
  13. Kurkar, Master of Stone Held in high regard by the villagers he protects, Kurkar is an incredibly presumptuous Toa, who holds a lot of self-pride. Kurkar’s unique swords can be used both traditionally, or thrown in a fashion which traps an enemy against a wall. Kurkar’s Mask of Illumination allows him to dazzle his foes during battle, and also illuminate dark places. Front Front, 3/4 Angle Back Skeleton, Front Skeleton, Back Shoulder plating structure Foot filling Casual Apologies for the lacklustre photography, I rushed taking this pictures.
  14. I've been staying inside because of the flu, so I built the Toa Nuva Kaita earlier, and also reverse-engineered Michael Ramberg's Toa Nui Rai-Engos. I still had another full set of Toa Mata left free to use (Minus Pohatu's arms), so I gathered the Nuva and Mata scraps I had laying around, as well as a few spare parts from extras of the same sets. Spent about half an hour each building these, and figured they were post-worthy. I see them as being sort of like a Bionicle equivalent to ancient mythic and tribal gods of the elements. I'm not good at writing much about things. So without further ado, these guys: Onua-Tahu (Volcano) http://imgur.com/6XvLsUi This guy used the most spare parts from my collection, but in keeping with the personal challenge I have myself, he didn't use anything not in the Nuva or Mata sets. Mostly meant to look like a brutish, destructive giant, if anything. Lewa-Gali (Gale) http://imgur.com/O3Vu0F2 I couldn't help but want to use both axes, as it just looked so cool. The overall design is meant to be somewhere between an axe-wielding maniac, a mech, and a multi-armed deity. Pohatu-Kopaka (Avalanche) http://imgur.com/jlGVEYs Probably my favourite, although I can't quite decide between him and Gale. Intended to look like a cross between Pohatu and Kopaka's basic concepts (A runner and a swordsman), and elements. Scrap-built self-MOC (Medic) http://imgur.com/wn8mxEH Gave him the Akaku, as I love steampunk (And Kopaka), as well as a walking stick, because I've had to use one for over a year, so it fit. The medic color scheme is just what I had it easiest throwing together without being too ugly. Nothing special, just something I made out of scraps and decided I liked.
  15. Intro So, lately I've been getting back into MOCing, and I've decided I'm actually going to post pictures of them now! This one, unlike my previous MOC is a made up character and utilizes a more complex and custom design. I actually like him so much, I might write a Short Story, or perhaps Epic detailing his adventures. I also provided a small history of his life which you guys are welcome to read! Kyraan of Ta - Builder, Mask Maker, Soldier, Chronicler, Civil War Leader, Criminal, Mercenary, Redeemed Hero - (~100,000 + Years Ago) Kyraan was created during the early stages of the universe as a Ta-Matoran laborer on the Northern tip of the Southern Continent. He was tasked as a builder and mask-maker, originally slacking off and would often break focus while working, but over time has excelled at his crafting skills to the point where he could craft and build double the amount compared to his comrades. He is eventually selected to be one of the Matoran to go to Artakha and labours there happily for several thousands of years. (100,000 Years Ago) Kyraan labours in Artakha and excels well in his profession, and is part of the team that builds the first Toa Canisters in Artakha. As the project nears completion, he becomes intrigued with Toa and their adventures, wondering if maybe one day he can become an adventurer himself? (95,000 Years Ago) Kyraan leaves Artakhato become an adventurer and sets out to explore the world, visiting his former Koro, and eventually landing on Stelt, where he was recruited into Pridak's army of Matoran. (95,000 Years Ago) Kyraan moves up the ranks of Barraki Pridak's Legion and witnesses the creation of the League of Six Kingdoms. (~87,000 Years Ago) Kyraan is mentored by Pridak in militant strategies which make him feel uneasy regarding the entire operation and he deserts Pridak's legions. Due to this, he is punished and is only severely maimed by Pridak. Kyraan wanders and makes his way to Zakaz, home of the peaceful Skakdi species, where he meets an inventor, Avak, who helps the Matoran and rebuilds him into a stronger form. He makes way to the Northern continent where he accompanies, and becomes a Chronicler to a group of Toa on their journey to Metru Nui. He goes back to his life of being an expert craftsmen, and serves as becomes a writer due to his experience as a Chronicler. He eventually writes a book, titled Barraki: Rise of the Kingdoms, reflecting on his time with the Barraki. Due to this, he became a popular figure in Ta-Metru, becoming very close with all Ta-Matoran and holding them to a higher regard than others. (79,500 Years Ago) Kyraan becomes involved in the Matoran Civil War and due to his former experience as a soldier and military commander, and becomes one of the Matoran of Fire who lead one side of the war. Due to his new-found belief in Ta-Matoran supremacy, he becomes ruthless and adopts much of Pridak's old tactics. (79,100 Years Ago) Kyraan is sentenced to the Pit along the other leaders. The Matoran Civil War ends. He spends the next 78,000 years in the Pit, reflecting and regretting his past decisions and actions. (1,001 Years Ago) Voya Nui skyrockets to Aqua Magna, the pit is flooded and Kyraan is released from his prison, however he is moderately mutated by the waters into a much larger form than most Matoran. The process caused him to grow spikes out his armor and to become a water breather. He witnesses the Barraki's degradation and manages to avoid them. He steals a waraxe and shield from Hydraxon's weapon cache, and flees as far as possible from the Pit. For the next 100 years he wanders and explores the underwater regions of Aqua Magna and brings judgment to former Pit prisoners in the far reaches of the planet. He befriends a small herd of Hydruka who assist him in his quest for redemption and justice. (300 Years Ago) Kyraan gets ready to launch an assault on the Barraki Fortress, but is prevented by the descent of Mahri Nui. Instead, he works on rescuing the Matoran that descended and employs his Hydruka to provide air for the Matoran. Eventually, he finds an apparatus that would enable him to breathe on land, as well as a motorized vehicle with gliding capabilities. He takes both with him and goes to the giant hole in the chest of the Great Spirit, where he makes a desperate attempt down the waterfall and makes it to the Southern Continent. Here, he makes way to a small city where he serves as a mercenary, specializing in underwater operations. (Present) Kyraan witnesses Teridax's takeover and decides to join the resistance forces, eventually fighting alongside Gali during many of the battles, making his way onto Spherus Magna where he would lead a platoon of Matoran in fighting Skrall. After the defeat of Teridax he became amphibious. (Close Future) Kyraan's records have been discovered by Vakama and the Order of Mata Nui, and he has been selected to become one of many Matoran that would be transformed into Toa Cordak, Heroes of Desolation, tasked with hunting down various criminals and threats to the Universe that escaped after Makuta crashed. He was tasked with hunting down and bringing justice to Pridak and his rising armies, partially due to the fact that Kyraan had crossed paths with the Barraki before, and is familiar with him. When he was transformed, he kept his menacing Pit appearance, partially due to being exposed to the Mutagen, partially due to the rebuilding Avak did on him, and partially because he wanted to to be reminded of his cloudy past. Shortly after his creation, he was stationed on an Island Fortress with Toa Krakua, who trained him, before he went off to find and bring Pridak to Justice. Shortly after his departure, the Fortress was attacked by a band of Spherus Magna criminals, and Krakua delivered his message from the future to Toa Vakama. Thanks for reading. Onto the Pictures! Pit Matoran Pose Prisoner Armorless Back Body Detail Waraxe Arm/Shield Zoom In Leg Zoom In Toa Cordak Main Front Front Zoom In FaceOff *cracks knuckles* Back Arm Zoom In Leg Zoom In WarAxe (flail mode) Note: When designing the Toa, I started taking apart the Matoran, reinforced the body to represent that he quite literally grew into a Toa. Same with the arms and legs, and axe. I honestly see the Toa as one of the better MOCs I've created. Please let me know what you think, and if you would like to see any other angles for either models!
  16. Hello everyone! I was wondering if any of the people who went on the LEGO Inside Tour would be willing to post some pictures of the exclusive Gali mask that was handed out on the tour. That would be awesome! I'm sure other members would like to see pictures of this as well. Thanks, ~KopakaFan116~
  17. So basically I have bought toa norik and iruini and have only found out now that neither come with a black rhotuka rip cord, and I cannot find these for a decent price as I would have to pay lots of money to get some as all that are being sold seem to be from America and I am in the UK. The second thing is Iruini does not come with his signiture rhotuka the gold and green rhotuka spinner is what I'm talking about and they are being replaced with two regular silver rhotuka, I cannot find either the gold or green rhotuka on the internet anywhere and I am really hoping don't have to another iruini just for these parts as they usually go for about £15 to £30.00. If someone could help me that would be great. Thanks
  18. Cetro, Master of Acid A young, rookie of a Toa, Cetro controls the element of Acid with much care. Armed with two acidic cleavers and the Mask of Acid, Cetro is eager to help those in need, at least with some direction. (This guy totally isn’t a proxy of Hero Factory’s Evo in a Bionicle setting. Nope, totally not.) Front Back Head and shoulder pauldron detail Skeleton, Front (Please be mature) Skeleton, Back Modified LW2 Gearbox Relaxed Thoughts?
  19. Which version of the Toa Mata is your favorite? Mata, Nuva, adaptive armor, or 2015?
  20. I have been looking into the personalities of the different toa and I've found some of their personalities. (These are just from my perspective, and if you don't agree, comment below. I will add more now and then. Toa Mata/Nuva/Okoto Tahu: ESTP/ENFJ Kopaka: ISTJ/INTJ Gali: INFP/ESTJ Lewa: ESFP/ENFP Onua: ISFJ Pohatu: ESFJ/ISTP
  21. They can have a toa of ice and water; the same element in different forms. Then couldn't they have made a toa of mud, snow, etc.? So why didn't they do it? Possibly the answer to this inquiry is how many kids would want a toa of mud? (Maybe some would like a toa of mud; I don't really know.) Also no need for 2 paragraph long banausic responses; you can keep it short and still be able to answer in detail.
  22. Picture says it all. What exactly is up with things like that? Are they doomed to remain moral plot holes or are there explanations for them? Please note that that's just an example. There are a lot of other strange contradictions like that in the Toa and Mata Nui's Moral Code.

  25. Hey! I'm not on my phone! It's going to be much prettier now. Kohnoh, Toa of the Trees "I am the shadow of the trees! A death that shall rage upon your soul! Fear me, like your pitiful slaves do!!" ~Direct story quote Line art Borked Coloured Bio: Kohnoh is a member of the King's royal guard. Before he was recruited, he was a master thief, and a major criminal. He is the quickest of his party, and is always equipped with his bow, and sometimes a dagger. He makes the finest arrows for his bow, grown directly from his powers. Mainly oak, with leaf feathers, making them strong and light. He is extremely loyal, and would do anything for the King, or his party. So this is my new persona, and he will be for the summer most likely. I enjoy playing this character, he's witty, smart, quick with his hands, and absolutely terrifying when he needs to be. He wears a Noble Avsa, my second favorite mask in the BIONICLE series. He wears it because he thinks it looks really scary, but not enough to be legitimately warding off people. He cares about his friends, and he would do anything to protect them. He loves the gore and bloodiness of a battle, and he carries around a bag of seeds, just so he can blow up people with melons. "Grubskal explodes, as guts fly all around the tent. A large melon sitting where he used to be." Yeah. When you're facing a Toa of Plantlife, seeds are a threat. Roots are a threat. Vines are a threat. Flowers are a threat. There is practically nowhere but snow drifts that don't have plants in them. He is a fearsome character, and that's why I like him.
