  1. IC: Day RunWasponax made the mech he was in shrug. "Why not?" he answered, following after the Hivena. "It'll keep me busy -- and help me gain more control over this machine."As they headed for the Waiting Room, the Dark Hunter tried fitting the Team Crest on the mech's torso. He wanted to make sure any officials in the Day Run saw it and allow him access inside the arena.
  2. IC: Northern VolcanoArketh watched in intrigue and amazement as Blacklight launched a blast of red energy at Jasrich. A new ability, with an effect not pausing to present itself. This, along with the power to expand elemental energies? It made him wonder what more this weapon could do. Perhaps he would discover all of the sword's capabilities through combat...But for now, Arketh focused on dealing with the Toa of Data. How much longer could he avoid the skeleton's shadowy attacks?
  3. IC: West District Squares Coming to that conclusion, Wasponax regathered his components at the spot that had separated at. Now whole again and concealed in the new mech, the Dark Hunter rolled off to Yultin's garage.Back inside, the insectoid vehicle transformed back into its normal form, and jogged up to Vailian. "Finished," he said. "Didn't take long at all. I'd go with the city square furthest from Central, where there's less police officers and machines crawling around." Then, pulling out the Team Crest, Wasponax continued. "So, what is this? And is it supposed to do this?" He pointed out the annoucement that had suddenly appeared.IC: Day Run Hexxon waited by the coliseum with Anar for his partner to arrive. Multiple times the Odinan had attempted to contact the Skakdi, but she never answered. Thoughts ran through his mind -- was she okay, or was she just busy? Had she got caught in the KNPD's or Ring's affairs? He signed. Sometimes having a friend -- especially a Skakdi -- like Kaytana was stressful. It was hard to tell when she'd return, but he did know that she would return. Missing a match was something she would never let happen. It was only a matter of time.Hexxon's concerns came to an end when the Skakdi's came into view. Letting out another sigh (this time of relief), he watched as Kaytana sped toward the arena at an inappropiate speed. The speeder came to an abrupt stop right before him, and Kaytana jumped off, a sick green on her face."Did I scare you there?" she asked. "Because you were looking a little down when I saw your face. Thought I might fix the problem."Eyes narrowed, the Team Comet leader peered down at her. "You know, if something important wasn't about to happen -- and if I still had the proper authority to do so -- I'd be scold and then reprehend you," he began, turn to and then opening the door for her. "Now, come. I have much to tell you after the match."The two proceeded to enter the coliseum, making their way to the crowded waiting room.IC: Day RunSeeing many others enter the coliseum, Greel headed in that direction, motioning for his comrades to follow. He pushed open the door, coming in right after a pair of other Day Run contestants, and followed them.
  4. IC: Day RunHmm, Greel wondered, his thoughts shared with Calik. He stepped in after the Toa, stroking his chin as he pondered the subject, followed closely by Rocky. I don't think I could travel across the Universe with only one. Metru Nui to the Southern Islands: no. From one side of a island to the other: yes. From one island to another or one side of a continent to the other: possibly. In addition, I don't think I could enter blocked off areas by special means using a gateway. Then there's the types of attacks I could store, which only deals with energy and energy-based assaults. There he stopped, aware that they were now standing at the Day Run. Ah, here we are! Greel said cheerfully, broadcasting his words into his teammates minds. Shall we head to the waiting room?IC: West District"Be back soon," Wasponax said, before transforming the mech into its spherical form and rolling out of the garage through the doors pointed out by Yultin. After driving to a point close to both squares in an alley, the Dark Hunter released roughly half of his swarm into the air. The uncontained cloud flew off in one direction while the mech folded up and drove in the other. At both locations, small portions of Wasponax separated from the larger group, and proceeded to buzz around the place, going mostly unnoticed by civilians due to the size of the scouts. They acquired a quality view of the squares by doing this, looking to see if one place was more appealing than the other. IC: BarrensKaytana zoomed through the wastes of snow between the Day Run and City. She didn't have to worry much about officers here, so the Skakdi took the liberty to speed up to the Day Run in time.
  5. IC: Northern VolcanoArketh shredded the rest of the parachute with his scythe and Blacklight, watching the remains of heavy cloth fell back to the ground below. He moved to pursue the fleeing Edubard, though the sudden noise of an explosion reached him. That spell-casting Toa must have made his own escape route with his powers.Realizing the strain of keeping up with two fleeing enemies, Arketh hurled a shower of Shadow shards down on the flying Toa of Air to damage both him and his jetpack. They fell like rain towards him, their tips razor-sharp.Then he summoned a gateway to transport himself to Jasrich, following the sound of the explosion. Once there, he intended to finish off the Toa of Data with Blacklight's blade.
  6. IC: West District GarageHmm... The insects examined the two city squares Vailian selected. It seemed easy and quick to do. He could split off a portion of his components to scan one of the areas, while the others residing in the mech searched the other one. "Shouldn't take long," the Dark Hunter answered, stowing his possessions in the mech. "I'll separate to cover more ground, see if it's a good spot or not. Where should we meet back up?"IC: East DistrictCertainly, Greel replied, snapping his fingers for show. At mental command, the dimensional gateway opened before them. IC: West DistrictKaytana passed Central and made her way into West District. She almost sneered when she passed the KNPD HQ, imagining the expressions on the officers' faces when the time came to detonate her explosives.
  7. IC: Northern VolcanoArketh, when he glanced away from the slashing to see the outcome of his attack on Jasrich, was iritated to see the Toa maneuver his way out of the explosions and into an opening in the mountain. It was not acceptable for him to escape without much difficulty!Reaching out with his heightened powers, the specter of Shadows caused the darkness in the tunnel to stir, making it sprout wicked spikes to impale the "Necromancer" and his Manta Ray. Some of the barbs smashed into the passage's ceiling, rubble falling and rocks collapsing as a result. Now Jasrich would have to steer around the dark without getting stabbed to death, and make it out before the whole tunnel sealed or crushed him.Content, Arketh turned back to Edubard and his parachute, waiting to see if he retaliated, or if there were enough holes in the cloth to make him plummet to the ground.
  8. IC: West District GarageThe Mech nodded, while the insects inside pulled out the payment card and slid it through the hatch. Flipping a few switches caused the machine's arm to reach up and grab the money, then to hold it out. They also lifted up the Team Crest found in the chamber below for Yultin and Vailian to see. "Either of you know what this is?" Wasponax asked. IC: East DistrictGreel finished the rest of his meal, placing the untensils on the plate and wiping his mouth with a soft, white cloth. With his boot, he nudged the napping Rocky, and placed his kas on the table to pay for the dinner, which was included his own, Calik's, and Traxin's. He reached out to a waiter inside the restaurant with his telepathy, letting him known they were finished, so he could clean and collect the money. Then, standing up from his chair, Greel said, We should get going, he told his partners. The Capture the Flag match will begin soon. IC: East DistrictKaytana drove through the streets of East District at a moderate speed, meant to hide her excitement of the upcoming match and explosives, instead of her normal, almost careless speeding.
  9. IC: Northern VolcanoArketh caused the swords of Shadow around him -- the same ones that cut his shoulders as they passed -- to explode in a burst, similar to the feat he performed on Mror and Edubard. As the damaged hovercraft came soaring at him, the shadowy creature stepped into a gateway he opened before him with his mind, evading a collision with the vehicle. The passage reappeared near the Toa of Air, with Arketh drifting out. From overhead, he slashed with Blacklight and his scythe (suspended in the grasp of several strips) at the parachute and lines connected to it.
  10. IC: West District Garage Wasponax, like the dummies, paused for a moment. There was at least one more feature to this Mech he had yet to test out, but what he saw now was enough to satisfy him for now -- the last one could be discovered in combat. Besides that, there was no other vehicle he wanted to see. This one was perfect for him."This shall be the end of the tests," the Dark Hunter said, about to jog back to the container to be lifted up.Before he could, however, a Team Crest materialised in the air right in front of him. Unfamiliar with the item's significance, he simply snatched it from it perch, thinking it was sent by Yultin for something vehicle-related. Whether it was or not, he would ask the Toa or his partner. The insects figured it was time to get back to the mission. They just had to pay for the Mech they inhabited at the moment -- after Yultin brought up the container he was now standing on. IC: East District Kaytana smirked as she walked over to her speeder, navigating the alley with her club-staff again. Once the time came, each explosive placed around City would go off, revealing mixed results. The most used, and her favorite, was charged with elemental energy -- Jungle, to be specific. Blocks and building would sprout plants of varying sizes, creating a forest-city scenery. She made sure to add agressive and poisonous species to the batch, so that civilians could be attacked and infected. Others included bursts of magnetic force, warping and crushing metals caught in the blast and magnetizing vehicle and people together; animation bombs, bringing nearby inanimate matter to life to damage their surroundings; and regular ones, causing a violent outburst of force and fire to bring down structures. She had planted the majority of her explosives in East District, a place she figured to house much of City's populace. West District and nearby North District were other locations, some of the weapons even placed close to the border of the districts and Central. Though she couldn't get much closer to the center of the city without getting caught by KNPD officers. Mounting herself on her vehicle, Kaytana chuckled a little. City was in for a surprise later, and she couldn't wait to see the expressions of citizens as her bombs were activaded. The Skakdi then maneuvered her way out of the alley and drove off. That Day Run match was going to start soon!
  11. IC: Northern VolcanoArketh sensed his control over Shadow being augmented by Blacklight's power, bringing it up to a higher level. The constructs and creations of darkness, as well as some natural, surrounding shadows, were absorbed into his body. He leapt into the air, encouraged by the sword and the newly granted strength. Sustained in the sky by his flapping wings, the specter pointed the weapon at Mror and his vehicle, then Edubard and his hovercraft.Once more utilizing the mountain's massive shadow for offense, he attacked his targets. Outbursts of Shadow energy erupted under and around their transports, blowing up in bursts fueled by his increased elemental abilities. For Jasrich and his Manta Ray, Arketh swung Blacklight, channeling through him a rapid fire of razor sharp Shadow blades at the fleeing Toa.
  12. IC: Northern VolcanoAt last! The last combatant was fleeing, leaving Blacklight all for Arketh. But the skeletal specter of Shadow would not let the escape be painless -- for any of them. They had relentlessly fought him for the sword, trying to deny him its great power. One had even delivered a physical blow to his form, giving him a twisted wrist. He would show to them how potent the weapon's power was in his dark hands.Glancing at his prize, Arketh had the strips clinging to the weapon unravel, turned the tool around, and closed his claw on the leather handle. Then he pointed Blacklight at the retreating beings, his eyes on the pesky Vortixx, who had caused the most harm to him.Arketh spoke to the blade now, his voice, usually at the quiet level of a deathly whisper, echoing around for his enemies to hear. "Demonstrate to the fools your power -- let them taste the devastation you will cause!"
  13. IC: Northern VolcanoWith Edubard gone, Arketh only needed to focus on Jasrich and Mror, and he was determined to keep Blacklight for himself. Concentrating on the cliffs' shadows again, he hurled disks of solid, black energy at the Toa of Data at a high velocity, aimed to bash him in specific areas, such as his neck; sides; legs; and arms. The result, he hoped, would be another enemy tumbling or flying away, but this time with some broken bones if it worked completely.
  14. IC: West District GarageWasponax was in joy after seeing the flamethrowers work. More button pressing and circuit operating activaded a new function: the Mech folded up into a ball as the bursts came, and rolled out of the way of the incoming attacks at a surprising speed. The blasts hit the ground, while the machine returned to its bipedal form.As one, the insects chuckled, their cackling escaping the vehicle, before firing another blast of fire at the dummies.IC: East DistrictKaytana reappeared in the alleyway, standing on the personal teleporter. With her mission completed, the Skakdi returned to retrieve her speeder, stepping off the device and onto the ground. It had made her assignment much easier and faster to finish, bringing her all around City, and proved to be an asset in the future. OOC: Parugi, want me to specify what types of weapons she used now, or wait until later?
  15. OOC: Wouldn't Edubard have been flung away by the surprise attack before he could use his mask to pretend he was? How would he anticipate a pillar was about to throw him away?IC: Northern VolcanoArketh turned around to watch "Edubard" fall down the rocky slope, swinging his head back on his long, vulture-like neck to get a look at the scene. The blade slashed at him narrowly missed his head.
  16. IC: Northern VolcanoOnce again Arketh used his lash of Shadow to block the kick. Simple attacks like that wouldn't pry him off the sword, for he had a strong enough grip on it for that to not happen.Seeing as the spheres didn't affect Edubard in any way, the specter absorbed the ones that didn't hit him yet and then focused on the shadow cast by the looming mountain -- specifically, the spot that the Toa of Air stood on. He forced it to erupt a pillar of Shadow, in order to toss Edubard away from Blacklight, and continued to yank the blade away from the others in hopes of keeping it.
  17. I'm sure Arketh would enjoy using the sword for that exact purpose. It's what he finds joy in.
  18. IC: East DistrictGreel's order was placed on the counter, steam rising from its appetising appearance. The Team Slight member performed another trick as he unlocked a gateway to his side, and reached a hand inside the doorway-like opening. His arm came into sight by the food, which he grabbed and pulled back through the passage he created. He set the meal on the table, handling the silverware that came on the plate. Agreed, he said, scooping up a portion of his food with a utensil. They do know how to cook a tasty-looking meal. Greel proceeded to eat his order, satisfied with his choice.IC: West District GarageStopping as the dummies activaded, Wasponax's components presses all sorts of buttons and switches, especially the bright and colorful ones. As a result, the Mech kicked and jerked, swinging with its shields. The real surprise came when the two teeth-like pinchers flipped open to reveal a spray of fire and fireballs aimed at the Mechs, produced by the flamethrowers mounted within.
  19. OOC: So, we're back on the ground by the volcano now?IC: Northern VolcanoBoth attacks focused on Arketh were counteracted by his whirling lash of Shadow, the sword being parried and the kick towards his chest deflected by the flat of the construct of darkness. His hold on the sword was strong and tight, guaranteed by the amount of strips gripping it, along wih his hand. The voice of Blacklight surprised him, but that didn't stop him for a moment. He fired several spheres of Shadow from the twirling lash at the pair, sending them at the two from all directions. As that happened, the skeleton pulled back on the falchion sword with his wrappings and working claw, trying to lead them into the narrow, sharp-edged Shadow strip, as well as have it for his own.
  20. IC: The WastesArketh appeared in the sky above the immense wastes of Karzahni Magna... along with two of three enemies still holding onto Blacklight. The inky darkness surrounding them dematerialized until only a lash of Shadow remained, which swirled rapidly around the Vortixx and Toa of Air. It had become flat and razor sharp, spinning about the two so as to slice them into pieces, especially their arms. His strips clung to the evil sword, both to stay whole from the slashing and pull it away.An idea came to Arketh's mind: this sword possessed great and potent power -- he could sense it -- so why not draw on it to destroy the two? Concentrating on Blacklight's energies, the skeleton of darkness attempted to finish off his adversaries by accessing the sword's abilities, and waited to see if any results came...
  21. IC: Northern VolcanoAs soon as Edubard leapt into the sky and laid a hand on Blacklight, Arketh acted. Tapping into his powers of Shadow, the specter created a sphere of black energy around himself and the sword, through which he planned to teleport himself and the weapon he touched, and away from the explosion. The two would be transported away to another location, while Mror and the Toa of Air would be caught in the prison-trap conjured by Jasrich.
  22. IC: Northen VolcanoArketh swiped his blade through the air, hurling a bolt of darkness at Jasrich to knock him out of the sky. A knife flew by his head -- almost connecting with his layer of Shadow -- before he could prepare another assault, which seemed to come from below. He glanced down to see what looked like another being attacking from far below on the ground. The situation was getting difficult to keep up with as more arrived, presumbly for the sword. This needed to end soon.Drifting down a little, Arketh came to Blacklight's level, and placed a bony hand on the weapon. Mror still had a grip on the tool, though his tendrils attempting to dislodge his hand (something that had gone on undisturbed) seemed to be working.
  23. IC: West District GarageThe Mech continued to twitch as the container descended into the chamber below. The insects within tried to operate the vehicle as best they could, developing basic movements in the machine's features by the time it reached the practice area. It wobbled around the container as the Dark Hunter inside tried getting accustomed to its walking.Once he was confident enough, Wasponax stepped down to face the dummies.IC: East DistrictGreel ordered a dish that looked and sounded good and would take little time to prepare. As he waited for the food, he walked over to one of the tables and telekinetically pulled out a chair. Next to him laid Rocky, who began drifting off into a light snooze.Staring at the two chairs by him, the Team Slight member pulled them out, too, so when his teammates were ready, they could take a seat.
  24. IC: Northern VolcanoSeveral strips that were not involved with trapping Mror moved in at Jasrich's ankle to stop the kick. If snatched, they would try to twist his leg until it snapped.Tendrils drifting around Mror backed away immediately to avoid being severed. The narrow pieces of cloth waited there, looking very much like serpents waiting to strike when the opportunity came. For now they only shifted pass the blade's slashes. The one he held onto, though, rerouted itself toward his neck, attempting to strangle the Vortixx. If Mror let go or sliced the cloth to save himself, he would fall to his death (or at least a descent that would result in some broken bones).
  25. IC: Northern VolcanoThe bullet was again buried and quelled in the Shadow armor on Arketh's face. His wrist was, fortunately, not broken, yet looked twisted and unusable at the time being. Mror may have succeeded there, but his escape was not to be that easy.Arketh possessed a surplus of the tendrils -- there was no need to release his grip on Blacklight. Climbing higher into the air faster, he had the majority of the strips around him attack the Vortixx. They snaked and curved all around him, attempting to ensare Mror and halt his movements. Even the one he held onto slithered around his body, going for his weapons. Being relatively close to him, the tendrils didn't have to move very far to grab him.Meanwhile, the strips on the blade tried again to tear off his hand.
