  1. GM IC - THE HOST - HOST'S OFFICE The Host smiled as the Enforcer disappeared from his office. Within a moment, he spun around in his chair, pointing a finger out into empty air - where, all of a sudden, there appeared the form of Sandalphon. Although the Toa of Magma had been "called" to the office, on the Host's schedule this meant being summoned whenever he felt it convenient. "So!" grinned the Host. "I hear you've volunteered to assist our facility staff in upholding order for a time? The Enforcer has requested a bit of a break. Are you up to the task?"
  2. GM IC - THE HOST - OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS "Attention, attention!" The Host's voice boomed through the speakers of the facility, rife with his typical enthusiasm. "I have two very important announcements to make!" There was a pause as he cleared his throat. "First of all, for those of you who have not openly rebelled against our hospitality, there is an exciting new opportunity on the horizon: Mechanized combat devices! Or mechs, as some say. These mechs are suits of robotic armor, custom tailored to their owner's wishes, and bought at the cost of three lives from the Infinite System. A special area of the Training Sector will be opened for mech simulations, while the actual mechs will be stored (inaccessibly) between rounds. Don't want anyone blowing their robot armor to smithereens in the hallways!" In all likelihood, only the Host could be so jovial on such a topic. "The mechs will be available in the near future, and orders are now open in the Commercial Sector! This is something we've decided to cook up as a reward for fighters who follow the rules, play fair, don't start fights outside of the Arena... And speaking of the Arena, round three will begin very soon! Be prepared, it's going to be exciting as always!" With an audible click the Host was gone.
  3. Unfortunately disapproved, mostly on account of the fact that you've made real-world connections within the character backstory that don't make sense and don't need to be there We've accepted other profiles that are mostly jokes, and I think Red would be approved to if you had made more of an effort to actually fit him into Bionicle; as it stands he's just... a Led Zeppelin fan who happens to exist in a Bionicle story? (Also the name is literally Led Zeppelin with one letter's difference c'mon Tyler)
  4. pardon me, i'm constantly busier than expected addressing profiles now
  5. Neat! I like the ice, plant, and metal Toa the most, and I'd say my least favorite is the stone Toa. The others are right about how the color schemes of the characters match color schemes of different elements (such as plasma instead of ice, psionics instead of water, air instead of plantlife...) IMO it doesn't really matter. Call 'em what suits your fancy. Heck, I've built a couple of blue Onu-Toa before. As far as catching up on the story and "extended" elemental affiliations, BioSector01 is your friend. (On mobile at the moment, can't link it... just search up the name. ) Those came with some of the Mars Mission sets, if I recall correctly.

    Let's do it
  8. FINA-FREAKIN'-LLY SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG GM IC - GEM OF ??? The adventurers continued through the darkness. The uneventful walk was unnerving in itself, the torchlight casting just enough light on each party to navigate through the stone tunnels. After what felt like hours, regardless of how long it had truly taken, the featureless tunnels were shaken, a deep rumbling noise echoing through the ground. As the earth shifted slightly, Ilyin's torch slipped from his grasp, clattering to the ground and going out. The tremor subsided. Ilyin and Halken, now in darkness, would be able to faintly spy a glow of torchlight around a curve ahead of them. Langmuir and Mirror heard footsteps approaching through the darkness. Uneasily stepping back and adopting a cautious fighting stance to reflect Langmuir's, Mirror was surprised to hear a faint, indistinguishable grumbling noise amongst to the footsteps - unmistakable as a curse let loose by Halken as he stumbled in the dark. As Halken and Ilyin stepped into the torchlight and stopped advancing, a sickly silence fell over the tunnel. "Well?" spoke the Matoran. "Let's see it, then." Mirror blinked in confusion. "What are you talking about?" "You know... a gem." His tone put Langmuir on edge. "There was supposed to be something in this tunnel, and we've found nothing, so you must have it." "You are mistaken," the Toa spoke, his tone firm. "We have come across nothing of import." "And we," Ilyin growled, "don't believe that for a moment. Er, right, Halken? We don't?" "Indubitably so. What have you scoundrels concealed?" "Nothing!" cried Mirror. His voice was defensive, frightened, his reply hasty. The voice of a liar if Ilyin had ever heard one. The bearded Matoran turned to Halken. "I say we make them turn it over. They've got to have something." Perhaps uncharacteristically, the Skakdi nodded and said nothing, glancing grimly towards the nervously shifting foes in his path. Langmuir did not particularly want to fight. But if Halken and Ilyin had found something, and wanted to eliminate Mirror and himself to hide the evidence and take the gem for themselves... he would not stand for that. The Toa took a more confident stance, prepared for combat against his former cohorts. The Gem of Disunity was about to take its toll.
  9. All Electric/Lightning users beware. Weaken electrical attacks.... so it'll do nothing against the physical impact and burns caused by a lightning bolt? Well, if he's grounded (and has the gem), it'll reduce how much he's harmed by that... but obviously he isn't going to be immune to it.
  10. Depending on its actual functions, it might. Seven approved. In probably any other RPG the power to eat people would not be okay, but it's balanced by the fact that characters can feasibly be instantly recovered due to the medical bay's systems.
  11. GM IC - GEM OF GROUNDING Kuro's blade redirected the electricity, and the orb - no longer suspended - dropped to the floor. The moment it touched the ground, the electricity in the room and in the tunnels behind them crackled one final time, then dispersed. A seam appeared in the metal sphere, and it cracked in half, revealing a small, bluish gemstone inside. OOC: Kuro has gained the Gem of Grounding. This gem can weaken electrical attacks against the bearer, and makes them immune to shock when touching the ground.
  12. GM IC - GEM OF ??? As Kuro and Prose stepped to the other side of the electricity, finally having traversed the tunnel, they would round a corner to see a relatively small, round room ahead of them. A few steady arcs of electricity went from the walls directly to the center of the room, where they appeared to be holding up a metal sphere, about a quarter of a Kolhii ball in size.
  13. back from inactive; too late to vote? if not, i vote shadowhawk thanks bro
  14. If a character tried to conceal a gem unsuccessfully, they'd lose more than the gem, I bet. :P
  15. For the majority of gems, that's correct. I'm sure there are a few that the organizers will want to keep.
  16. Much better, Ichthys. We'll take a look at that for real this time. Despite my intentions to return to activity, school has been beating me over the head with two phone books worth of homework these past couple weeks, so it's difficult. I'll try to be more active on the weekend. Kuro and Prose are almost to their gem. Disunity quest has a little ways to go but I appreciate how well they've kept the story running without my posts.
  17. Disapproved on basis of being a joke profile. I like the concept and the comic is wonderful - nothing wrong with a degree of humor here - but I hope it's obvious that as the profile stands currently, it isn't going to be accepted. If I were to edit Xara's profile so that her weapons were just swords, and unable to combine into staff form, would that free up a power slot and allow me to give her the Rahkshi power of flight? Yes, you would be able to do that.
  18. No, I wouldn't target you unless specifically provoked. Otherwise I just RNG which is why I chose Aerixx. I guess SV can't read, or...? :P
  19. wait what the heck why did i attempt to kill ibrow i definitely did not send you ibrow EDIT: Come on, ShadowVezon. I explicitly wrote "Aerixx" in my PM. I don't know how that could've been clearer.
  20. GM IC - GEM OF ??? In the tunnel ahead of Kuro and Prose, there was a pattern of lightning similar to the initial tunnel, albeit less confusingly tangled. It would be easier to navigate - perhaps almost to the eye of the storm, so to speak.
