  1. GM IC - GEM OF ??? The metal object poking Halken's spine turned out to be a lever extending from the surface of the wall, just above the waterline. GM IC - GEM OF ??? The metal gave way slightly under Kuro's attack, but out of the hole came more sparks. The electrical arcs ahead of them remained steady, spaced out at oddly even intervals along the pathway, like one might expect from some bizarre sort of laser grid. Arctic/Ghidora, is it safe to assume that Daltrahk or one of the Rahkshi has a leather grip, or something along those lines, on a weapon?
  2. Dang it, don't know how I missed this one. Approved.
  3. Snarl very tentatively approved. He'd better be played as a being of regular intelligence who just happens to be unable to verbally communicate, though. Ah, I'd missed that repost. Well, even with the changes, Hagah approved.
  4. Dajik not approved. Bag of Everything is very clearly abusable - and even though I trust you, Click, I don't want to set that kind of precedent. Hagah approved. Linear not yet approved. Cool concept, but I think Linear's shadow puppets need more definition; for all we know they could be anything from an actual puppet up to a shadow-crafted Tahtorak, so you should specify before we decide on it. Bajets approved. Skype character hype. Aw, no pets allowed? But fair enough, you make a good point. So here is a hastily-edited version of Snarl's profile that removes the fightbot-ish bits. If he gets approved, I'll keep him away from Alisa, and maybe some other player's character will adopt him as a pet.... Name: Snarl Species: Augmented Energy Hound Power/Weapon 1: Tracking Sense: like all energy hounds, Snarl has the ability to track anything, anywhere, by following its unique energy signature. Power/Weapon 2: Empathy Implant: a device implanted into Snarl’s brain which allows him to generate an aura that influences the emotions of other beings near him. Power/Weapon 3: Paralysis Breath: modifications to Snarl’s mouth allow him to spit blasts of energy that cause agonising localised paralysis on impact. Appearance: Maroon and red, Snarl’s body is all muscle and power, his legs ending in large, silvery talons, and his mouth adorned with shining fangs. Rows of silver spines run down his back and barbs line his thin, whip-like tail. His eyes blaze with a yellow light. Bio: Created by the Order of Mata Nui like all Energy Hounds, Snarl was given numerous enhancements, and underwent several painful experimental operations. Finally growing tired of the endless torment, he broke free and turned on his creators, before fleeing the facility and escaping out into the open world. He changed hands many times over the years that followed, drifting from one owner to another, being recaptured and escaping again many times over. Finally he was brought to the Bionifight facility, a true test of his powers and skills. Personality/Other: Fiercely loyal to those he likes, Snarl is possessed of a high level of intelligence, despite being incapable of speech. Fast and strong enough to run down and overpower beings larger than himself, he is ferocious in battle and unshakably persistent, fully content to let his foes exhaust themselves before moving in for the kill. Outside of combat, however, Snarl has a more boisterous and playful side, and has developed a fondness for Kane-Ra steak treats and Muaka munchies. MOC: http://i.imgur.com/SHfamTo.png Snarl is not approved on the basis that he is a dog. He's much less a dog than Krantax... but he's a dog. I believe it was a mistake to allow a crab and another dog in (and maybe even Ekial to a lesser extent?), because adding nonsentient fighters to the competition is silly from an IC standpoint. I should've mentioned this before, my bad. If I'm making a mistake here and "high level of intelligence" puts him on par with your average sentient fighter, the only difference being an inability to communicate, then let me know and he'll be approved. I currently read it as meaning that he's... like... a dolphin, or a parrot, or something. Quite smart compared to the majority of animals, but not equivalent to a human. With these changes, Typhoeus approved! CINP approved. Ravyn approved. Interesting weapons. Intavus approved. Iesua approved.
  5. GM IC - GEM OF ??? As the Rahkshi rounded the corner, pushed by Daltrahk, a brilliant white bolt of electricity arced out from the right-hand wall ahead of them, across the middle of the passage, to the left wall. "We'd better be careful," Prose commented. Just as he said this, another bolt flared out, then another, and another - each successive bolt being further away down the corridor. Now the gem-hunters were faced with a veritable web of electricity criss-crossing the tunnel. At the end of the gauntlet was another corner, from which an even brighter gleam of light was seen. GM IC - GEM OF ??? As Langmuir began his descent, Halken would find his spine brushing against something metallic on the wall closest to him.
  6. Alright. Hope that goes back to working soon. Depending on the status of your internet henceforth, Lang will be bunnied by your fellow gem questers or myself.
  7. As for how to progress... may as well just tell you here. Blade intended for Werl and Tahnok to be able to dodge or run between the lines of fire from the fragmentation blasts. While the obvious solution would be to hide to defend yourself, the one that would get you the gem would be slightly more aggressive, an inversion of the typical expectations; the problem is, I don't know how clear Blade made this possible solution in her posts: sometimes it came across as sounding like the frag blasts were completely filling the air, bullet-heck style, except for how they came in waves. And that's what I get for taking five minutes to type Black-text gem quest post soon after Tira posts for Langmuir
  8. jack stone represent
  9. Thanks Grochi. You explained things pretty well. If Blade doesn't continue or resolve the quest soon I can take it over, by the way. Sorry you've been stuck in there for so long.
  10. GM IC - GEM OF ??? As the gem-hunters at the bottom of the pit conversed, Ilyin realized something. Before ending up in the pit, the Matoran hadn't been standing near the edge. Someone or something had pushed him off - he'd fallen right past Halken, who logically would've been the first to fall if the cause had been environmental. Had one of the other three shoved him off the side intentionally?
  11. Oh dear, that did not go as I wanted. Might have to do a bit of bunnying with this one, but we'll see. GM IC - GEM OF ??? The three adventurers hit the water hard. They came to the surface gasping. After checking verbally to ensure that each was alright, they realized that they were in complete darkness - and there was no sign of Langmuir, who remained above. If they shouted up, there was no response - and if Langmuir tried to listen below, he too would hear nothing in reply. GM IC - GEM OF ??? As the two Rahkshi continued forward, a slight static shock leapt between the wall and Kuro's spine. Looking closer at the walls surrounding them, the group could discern minute currents of electricity running inside the surfaces every so often.
  12. Shame the game lost activity as it went along, but regardless it was a nice little sendoff for the G&T installments of the series. You have my vote.
  13. So, uh, we'll see how this goes... GM IC - GEM OF ??? The swords dropped by Langmuir sparked a bit, but seemed to disappear unnaturally: this failed to grant the party any information about where the pit would end. He was right: it was deep indeed. As the group stood trying to decide how to descend, there came a noise from the midst of them like the shuffling of feet, as if someone was turning around in the cramped tunnel. Suddenly, Ilyin felt himself stumbling and slipping towards the hole, falling past Halken, who had stepped away from it. GM IC - GEM OF ??? As they approached the light in the tunnel, the Rahkshi and Skakdi would notice that the material of the floors and wall gradually changed. What had been only stone at the start of the tunnel was now more metallic. Small ridges and bumps ran through the surfaces - organic in shape, though less smooth than the rock from before. The pebbles coming from the ceiling had ceased now, too. And the light source at the tunnel's end was just around the corner...
  14. I think I missed it. Yeah, it's a Library, stands to reason that you could borrow books. What about Gem of Falling Rocks? Cuz that what's the cave's been doing for a while now. Sorry guys. Took a break from BZP yesterday afternoon and didn't realize I hadn't posted for you before that point. Getting on it now.
  15. N: Chro G: Male E1: Fire E2: Ice O: If fire, flaming left arm; do whatever you want with personality/other R: Leader would be cool but it doesn't really matter You just had to say that. Rule #1... mhm, fishers knows what's up ... seriously? :|
  16. I don't want to stifle your creative freedom, (and I certainly don't want you to leave the game,) but I think part of the problem is the characters you've created. Tahnok is very destructive, and uses his powers aggressively. His first appearance made nobody want to interact with him, both IC and (by extension) OOC. Unfortunately, Tahnok ended up as a precedent that perhaps showed people an unfair representation of your characters as a whole; Carrier is not so aggressive in attacking and destroying things in the facility, but I think that many players would not want to interact with Carrier either due to the impression they got from your actions with Tahnok. I will also say that sometimes, people react negatively to the actions taken by inexperienced players, without remembering that those players are, well, inexperienced. In this case, you were new to Infinite and didn't know to not have Tahnok react as he did - obviously you now know not to do that, but some people have that first impression kinda stuck in their minds, even if you as a player gain more experience and have your characters act more reasonably in the rest of the game.
  17. Fair point. True, Olari (that Toa of Magnetism) did attack him first. As Nato said, she had significant provocation IC, and it would've basically been very much out of character for IAU6 to not have Olari react to Tahnok as she did. "Without significant provocation" was poor word choice on my part. What I meant was, Tahnok completely overreacted by destroying things throughout the room, not attacking Olari directly. He went a bit beyond self-defense, in my opinion. Was that a fitting thing to do in character? I suppose it was. And I understand that it does not reflect you, but as you said, it's something that was done IC, which means that if someone would want to interact with Tahnok again they'd likely expect something like that to happen. I kind of disagree about your explanation of Carrier, because his first move was to send out a Spider to find someone to mind-control in order to infiltrate the facility. This is slightly different, since nobody would know those plans IC, but I hope you understand that it makes people wary of a Tahnok-like situation. However, I suspect that once the next round starts, you'll be able to interact with people on a better playing field. (Not literally. We don't have an arena setup like that. )
  18. If you want to look at them that way, sure, they're rules but not really i just feel that the joke is destroyed if i tell you that we're not serious
  19. What happens if the round ends and nobody's dead? QUEEN: 23 The Queen did not stop to see if her trident had struck. She strafed through the air, moving out of Zakaro's line of sight, and cloaked herself with an illusion.
  20. QUEEN: 23 The Queen redirected her force wave towards the earth orbs, launching them back towards Zakaro. She knew he would easily dispel them, so instead intended to use them as a distraction while throwing her trident through the midst of the earth blasts as well.
  21. QUEEN: 24 As Zakaro whirled and struck, the Queen activated her teleportation power, having anticipated his attack. Unfortunately, she was slightly too slow, and the telephone pole struck her before she could complete the teleport. [-1, 23] She sneered and pushed a wave of telekinetic force towards Unit and Zakaro, attempting to force them both off the catwalk.
  22. I thought we'd already addressed that - Voltex made some posts here about how the information Carrier is searching for is generally inaccessible, if I remember correctly. Just to be sure, though, I'll go look for the posts I'm talking about... And I think people have been reluctant to interact with you because of how your first IC actions were an attempt to destroy a good portion of the public spaces of the facility, without significant provocation. I think this gentleman would get along quite well with Ardian Which gentleman?
  23. QUEEN: 24 The Queen whirled, seeing Unit's attack out of the corner of her eye, and telekinetically deflected the dagger, sending it downwards past the catwalk and into a vat of molten metal. - - OOC: Either way, the Queen's gonna do this, so I may as well post it now - but her further action, retaliation against Unit or a continued assault on Zakaro, will depend on how Zakaro reacts to being backstabbed in my previous Q post.
  24. Spot 6, please. I think it would be cool if there was some way for NPC zombies, so to speak, to influence the game. Like, each round you have a 1/12 chance of being killed by the zombie hoard in addition to the other players.
  25. Let's put it this way: if I'm going to approve a weapon with a regular Bionicle-style name, I'm probably going to also approve it if it's the same weapon with a human-language name. Also, if you can name your characters or items after things in the English language, there's not much reason that they shouldn't be allowed to be named after other languages.
