  1. Very good point, though one could say they still got the short end of the stick, because it seems that they bring their hazard wherever they go, rather than choosing to live nearby their elemental hazard. Loud noises are much harder to avoid than an active volcano typically.
  2. I don't know about the rest, but I believe I heard that the story team decided that air wouldn't do as much a good of job of cleaning the island as Acid does. It did make the Lehvak one of the more feared Bohrok types since their acid was so destructive and deadly, I personally liked that touch.
  3. Very cool! I like the way you made his torso, and the base adds a nice touch! Out of curiosity, is there a reason you made him left handed? I'm not complaining, I'm a lefty myself and I wouldn't mind us getting more representation in the BIONICLE universe.
  4. Idk, if you take it far enough, you should combine ice with water since they're basically different phases of the same element. An argument could be made though that ice controls temperature as well as the actual element, (being able to create ice and freeze other things as well), and that helps keep the two elements seperate.
  5. It would depend on who's will is stronger, the krana (via the Bahrag who we've seen have rather powerful telepathic powers) or the Toa. It's rather a hard call, since the krana's main function when planted on someone is to control them, but since a Toa of Psionics would be able to block the control, then it'd be easier to control the krana instead. If it was someone who had mind control (but wasn't a Toa of Psionics) it might favor the krana, depending on the individual's willpower.
  6. Well we know that a strong mind can resist the krana (Lewa had the strength to pull his off, and Tahu removed his even before the krana was able to control him at all). The Order of Mata Nui learned their mental block ability from the Psionic Matoran so any of the Matoran would theoretically immune to the Krana, and by extension the Toa as well. Now can one use a krana's powers without the krana controlling the individual? Who is actually using the powers, the wearer, or the krana wearing the individual?
  7. For me, BIONICLE means family. I cannot even begin to estimate how many hours and hours I spent with my brothers collecting and replaying the stories of the various heroes and villains, creating the combiner models, and creating new characters (our Toa of time vs Voporak was a favorite ). There was no bit of lore we didn't know, we researched every book, comic, web page, movie, video, online game, we did it all together. We've since moved out to our own households, and thus aren't able to do that as frequently, but the memories are still there, and we often discuss with ourselves what would BIONICLE be like if it had continued further? The feelings we had when it got canceled are still there, we often wonder why? But there were many years of enjoyment and bonding over these stories and characters and I will always cherish those memories.
  8. #findthenextmask. He's letting people submit their own "mask" finds, probably to give people something to do to pass the time, and possibly tie in to something he's got going. As we all remember, in 2001 and later the goal was to collect multiple masks.
  9. Well if our guess regarding his #14B2020 is correct, April 1st 2020 is next week, so it hopefully won't be much longer before we get some clarity
  10. The mystery behind the identity of this "being" is bound to drive me mad! I cannot fathom who would be powerful enough (or confident enough) to challenge the Makuta and be certain he could be their superior. I'm sure we'll find out eventually but for now I'm stumped lol. Meanwhile the stakes seem to be rising for our matoran friends, and it's always sad to see those we grew to know and care about fall. Still a great story, I'm eager to see it all play out!
  11. That was Hakann if I'm not mistaken, and it was when he first bumped into Irnakk (a logical reaction imo) Also add to that in "Island of Doom" Avak was remembering the time that Zaktan used his protodites to "eat" a Toa of Plasma. They didn't exactly say that's what happened, but it was heavily implied!
  12. If you look closely, you might just barely see Nuhvok-Kal, moving this giant slab of rock towards you. jk
  13. Got my Mask of Kindred! Been a part of this community for 6 years! Time flies as they say. :D

    1. JAG18

Congratulations!  I apparently got mine a few days ago and didn't even notice.

      Nice, not a bad milestone!

  14. So off topic a bit, and I feel really stupid about this, but I finally put two and two together and realized that you are the "Nick on Planet Ripple" who made all those LEGO Rewind videos on YouTube. I don't know why I didn't realized this earlier, but I am a huge fan of that series, and I've enjoyed hearing and learning about those old retired LEGO series. Anyways, back on topic, the comic is going great, the silent panels are intriguing, give this a sense of suspense. Keep up the good work!
  15. WOOHOO! Super excited to see this return! And wow way to make the Tarakava scary. Can't underestimate those punchy arms.
  16. Good to know. I had assumed you display your enjoyment of the post by "liking" it, but by "upvoting" you were wanting to bring it to others' attention.
  17. Woohoo new chapter! Still loving this series, very eager to see where things go. Hopefully things will work out before everything goes downhill.
  18. Man, I never thought I'd want that song with a full orchestra, but here we are! It's crazy how this song has stuck around since 2007.
  19. So this happened a couple of hours ago. Let the speculations continue!
  20. Well since his first post he has always added #14B2020, I'm still wondering if it'll come to a head sometime next year. He certainly doesn't seem to be stopping with these cool art pieces anytime soon though, so if that's all we get from him I'm totally fine with that!
  21. Just to keep this updated, Faber posted a new update 3 days ago: Newest Faber drawing
  22. It's just as well none of the VN matoran turned into Toa before the Inika showed up, otherwise they'd end up looking like Zaktan and the crew lol
  23. You'd need a "Golden" Legendary mask, like the ones the Toa Mata gained once they put all 6 of their other masks onto the Kini Nui suva, letting them wear 1 mask, but can access all 6 powers at their whim. Exactly like that, except for all of the legendary masks. Now that would be OP, not to mention I don't think anybody could handle that amount of power (Tahu Nuva barely contained the power of time himself).
