  1. If you thought he never missed leg day before, check out these meaty greaves he's sporting in this re-imagining of Kopaka's G2 model: Front: http://i.imgur.com/7KJs8AZ.jpg Epic Meaty Pose: http://i.imgur.com/rKPOQd0.jpg Hunting Pose: http://i.imgur.com/tGSyjaB.jpg Back Shot: http://i.imgur.com/ZabMAof.jpg All comments are welcome, good, bad, and ugly... but don't expect kind replies to the latter [] []
  2. I think any kind of image hosting service works [] If you want to post a pic without using a hosting gallery, though... [] Well, that's like trying to make an omelet without eggs []
  3. Toodles, y'all o/ I started this as a server project about a year ago, but the idea fell through when Mojang released it's new EULA. However, I saw the save while cleaning up my many, many worlds a couple of days ago, and decided to just upload it, because why not? Someone might have fun with it, or finish it, or whatever. So this is it. Or, actually, these are them. The texture pack, and the map. The map measures roughly four thousand blocks squared (haha.), but only contains a couple of the major landmarks because the others weren't saved by the server for some reason :\ As for the texture pack, it's not got a lot to it, but what it has is pretty neat, if I say so myself [] [] Both were made in 1.7.10, but they may well be compatible with newer versions; I just haven't had the time to backup and check. Texture pack: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/w8akdr6w2u6n6se/AAA7WyvKqlb6qxIBDPHDvbdMa?dl=0 World Save: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/m5h8wxp96o4pos7/AAApJECV7TPlfPbxWvNE42Nka?dl=0 If you don't have a clue about how to use these in MC, just post here and I'll link to a tutorial, or answer any specific questions you have [] If you like them, gimme a proto, if you really like them, leave a comment. If you don't like them, don't bother commenting, because this was an unfinished project which isn't going anywhere anytime soon: negative feedback ain't gonna do nuthin'. []
  4. That's some pretty excellent MOCing, there [] I especially like the Mole and the Crab []
  5. This is my first attempt at a life-sized version of a mask (My previous foray is here: http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/20454-iconox-helmet/). It's my third biggest Bionicle MOC, the first being the whopping Chronicull, who I built for the constuct-a-villain contest, and the second a combiner model of Lewa, Kopaka, and Pohatu (I unfortunately didn't take any pics of it). Working on some midi-versions of the 2015 Toa now []
  6. Loving the detail on this one, but the Pohatu MOC is still my favourite (Smooth Lego rocks always win me over [])
  7. ...Duh? [] Of course I know that [:S] [] The balljoints are just to hold the mask to your face. I would have used string or elastic, if I'd had had any. They're not part of the mask in itself, so they shouldn't be encumbered by shells. Also, the lens flare is a real reflection of the sun, not a photoshop addition. I didn't intent for it to be in the pic at all. Actually, I originally intended it to be like a Rode, but it evolved in the build process after I added the side slopes, reminiscent of the original Hau's cheek-slits []
  8. This is my entry for the #bioniclemaskmaker competition. It's fully wearable, with adjustable strap lengths. It also has a "mouth open" mode, which I stupidly forgot to take a pic of, like the Ignika in TLR. It's moderately heavy, but bearable enough to wear for an hour or so at a time. Main: http://i.imgur.com/7McaPFHh.jpg Back (with epic lens flare): http://i.imgur.com/1gn5jIHh.jpg Side: http://i.imgur.com/ScVGArzh.jpg Front (with what looks like pupils XD): http://i.imgur.com/0Xn2FHEh.jpg Worn: http://i.imgur.com/5ClbU0jh.jpg Feedback and comments are encouraged []
  9. "A courageous Toa Lewa has even announced his own candidacy on behalf of a third, greener party." XD this made me actually LOL, which is quite an achievement these days []
  10. For some reason, this theme keeps reminding me of Power Miners... [:S] Maybe it's because that big guy's arms are like the rock monsters, in a way... []
  11. XD some hilarious references to MNOG here [] And the .gif is excellent, too [] I love trying out new masks on my Toa, especially a rare orange Pakari on Tahu and Vakama []
  12. Try this, for all those who are getting an error page: http://t.toysrus.ca/viewall/index.jsp?categoryId=23359566
  13. I do 8) No, but seriously, I have a "Keep calm and haz Bionicle" teeshirt, with a grayscale Phantoka Miru on the front []
  14. Yes, I'm sure we're all aware that 1000 votes is not enough: we're not n00bs like the "nex n strigner" guy you mentioned. Personally, I think the amount of votes this got in just a few days is quite impressive considering that "Bionicle isn't popular as what it use to be".
  15. What do you get when you cross a Ga-Matoran, a Ta-Matoran, a lump of antidermis and the Karda Nui swamp? Macku-Ta. And the swamp? Ah, that's where I always get stuck... Someone give me a job... []
  16. Nah, I'm fine with telling people about it 8D Bonkles rule, OK? [] Mind you: I never actually get to talk to people at all, really. [] So, I wouldn't really know []
  17. Thanks [] The "colorful rock" is actually rough granite, the most plentiful type of stone around where I live [] It's quite loosely packed together, so much that even a pencil-neck geek like me can split it without any tools [] Ta-Wahi would be very fun to do... Yesterday I had very gray, very layered clouds that immediately made me think of Charred Forest [] Today it's gone back to sunny again, but hopefully there'll be more gray days as we move into winter (can't wait to do Ko-Wahi [] [])
  18. I'm afraid, for those who are old fans who want to get rid of their collection on here, all 2001 sets must be delivered free of charge directly to my address. []
  19. I understand a lot of the wariness that people have about signing this petition: If a guy just discovered a nebula, you should put his name on it, right? Not correct, actually, for three reasons. Firstly, astronomers traditionally don't want to name something they discovered after themselves (unlike quite a few fictional scientists []). Think of it: Mars, Pluto, Andromeda. All of them are named after mythological creatures or beings. Second: Pk-200 (numbers here) is a placeholder name, until it becomes "important" enough to merit a true one. Astronomers discover a plethora of planets, systems, and others every day. You think they have time to give a snazzy name to them all? More importantly, do you think they wouldn't want other people to do so in their place? Thirdly, for anyone worried about offending the memory of Mr. Menzel: the nebula doesn't actually have his name on it anyway. If Pk-whatever is a placeholder name, Mz2 is a placeholder name for the placeholder name. It's already been assigned a "coordinate" name by Nasa, so officially calling it after an astoundingly similar fictional galaxy isn't actually that harsh. I totally understand if anyone is still averse to this, but for those who have doubts, you can set your mind at rest [] After all, Menzel might have been a fan of biomechanical beings, for all we know... []
  20. Yes yes yes! [] I would so sign this if I wasn't worried about giving away personal details [] Seriously, they really need to name it Solis Magna [] It's a lot more jazzy than "Pk 329 022" or whatever it was []
  21. Toodles, y'all o/ Being a game designer/developer, I'm pretty good at getting the feel of a game, and knowing if it's too difficult/easy for the players. However, I'm also a massive Bonkle nut (if the name didn't give it away []), so with Bionicle games I find it very hard to subjectively evaluate them. So basically what I'd like to know is: What style of gameplay is your favourite out of MNOG II's realtime Kolhii matches, or VNOG's turn-based CRPG battles? I know that both games had really poor "grinding" mechanics for quests (I lost count of the times I ran across Voya Nui), but I'm talking specifically about the Kolhii matches from MNOG II, and the battles from VNOG. So which one is your favorite, and why?
